Our story
Dr. Flanigan practiced medicine for more than four decades. He was a family practitioner for twenty years and later became an emergency room physician.
He leaves a legacy of being a life-long learner, as well as a servant. He practiced medicine in under-served areas, often knowing that patients could not afford medical care. His family is establishing this fund honoring his life of service to his fellow man.
Our goal
This fund represents the work ethic of Dr. Clarence Flanigan Jr. The Dr. Clarence Flanigan Jr. Memorial Scholarship hopes to support an African American, male undergraduate student at an HBCU, with a preference for a student from a small town who wants to work in medicine and majors in biology or chemistry.
