Our story
The Della Fleetwood-Sherrod Scholarship Fund seeks to perpetuate our grandmother’s legacy of demonstrating extraordinary concern for the welfare of individuals in her community. This scholarship will provide financial assistance to low-income students of color with a high school diploma or GED who seek to enroll in a post-secondary educational institution, training program, or trade school. Ideal candidates exemplify a commitment to community service and affirm the moral obligation of helping those in need.
Our goal
To help low income BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) students in North Carolina pursue their dreams of a higher education.
