The short story I used to apply for this scholarship was inspired by my late grandfather, who passed away a few years ago. He was a source of great strength and inspiration in my life, and being able to honor his memory through this award makes it even more special and meaningful. It is incredibly touching to know that his story contributed to this opportunity, helping me continue my education in robotics. As a first-generation immigrant from Honduras, pursuing higher education, especially in a male-dominated field like robotics, has been both a personal and professional challenge.
