Dear Forton and Hart Families, I want to express how truly honored and grateful I am to be chosen as a recipient of the Philippe Forton Scholarship. Learning about Philippe’s legacy and the inspiration behind this award means so much to me, especially as I begin my journey into nursing at Northeastern University this fall. Your support lifts a significant weight off my shoulders, allowing me to focus on my studies and immerse myself in the experiences that will shape me into a compassionate and capable nurse. With your generosity, I can devote more energy to my classes and clinical work, and less to worrying about financial obstacles. My passion for healthcare was shaped by my family’s own experiences—supporting my sister through her illness and caring for my grandmother during her final days. I’ve seen firsthand the life-changing impact of patient-centered nursing, and I’m deeply committed to carrying that forward by advocating for families and providing holistic, empathetic care. My background as the captain of my high school dance program has also taught me the importance of resilience, teamwork, and leadership, qualities I hope to bring to the nursing profession. I'm honored to carry on Philippe's legacy through this scholarship, and inspired by the way your families have chosen to support future nurses. Your belief in students like me fuels our drive to learn, serve, and make lasting differences in the lives of others.
