To further Sudanese education in STEM and the arts and honor the legacy of Mohamed Magdi Taha (MIT '24), who passed tragically before his junior year of university. Awards will support students at US universities. Mohamed Taha (2001-2022) was a native of California and Khartoum, Sudan who was a rising junior at MIT. Mohamed was a passionate young man who had deep love for his country and a special talent for poetry. He was studying Course 6-9 at MIT, Computer Science and Cognitive Sciences. He was brave and compassionate -- always willing to lend a helping hand and be a voice for others.
