Dear Sweet Hut Bakery and Food Terminal, I’m so grateful to have been chosen as the recipient of the Sweet Dreams Scholarship. Your belief in students who strive to build community and inspire hope truly resonates with me. This award lifts a significant weight off my shoulders, making it possible for me to focus even more on my studies and my journey toward becoming a certified nurse-midwife. My greatest passion is supporting women especially those in disadvantaged and Spanish-speaking communities as they bring new life into the world. I want every mother to feel cared for, safe, and truly heard, no matter her background. Growing up as the eldest in my family taught me the value of leadership and giving back, and I’ve carried that sense of responsibility into my volunteer work, academics, and community service. The chance to serve others, to lead with compassion, is what motivates me every day. Your generosity means so much, not just to me, but to all the families I hope to serve in the future. Knowing that you invest in students who want to make a difference inspires me to work even harder and to give back whenever I can. Thank you for your kindness and belief in my dreams. I’m excited to keep moving forward, and I hope one day to make my community as proud as I am grateful to you. Thank you, Daisy Luna

Dear Sweet Hut Bakery and Food Terminal, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for choosing me as the recipient of the Sweet Dreams Scholarship. It truly means so much to be recognized for embodying the spirit of community and hope, and I’m incredibly thankful for your belief in my journey. Your support lifts a weight from my shoulders and allows me to focus more intently on my studies, community engagement, and putting my all into my new internship being a victims advocate for homicide victims . As a first-generation college student from Stone Mountain, pursuing a Criminal Justice major and Psychology minor at Georgia State University, this scholarship lessens the financial challenges I face and helps me stay on track toward my dream of becoming a criminal defense attorney with a specialty in forensic psychology. Living with a rare disease has taught me resilience and shown me the importance of compassion and advocacy within systems that can sometimes overlook those who need help the most. I’m eager to use my education and lived experiences to make the justice system fairer, especially for those who are often misunderstood or marginalized. I truly admire your commitment to supporting students who strive to bring hope and leadership to their communities. Your generosity inspires me to push forward and reminds me that there are people who believe in my potential and vision. Thank you for making this crucial part of my journey possible. I’m deeply appreciative and excited for the opportunity to turn your investment into meaningful change. Thank you, Jennafer Knox
