I want to take a moment to thank the Patterson family for this scholarship opportunity. I am honored to be a finalist for the Beverly J. Patterson Scholarship. Nursing is a critical profession, and I realize the lasting impact nurses have on their patients and their families. I am eager to begin my nursing pathway and hope to make a difference in the lives of others, just as Beverly did. I do not doubt that her legacy lives on.
