Donor Mission Statement From Nathan Fuiava At the heart of my mission is a deep commitment to environmental stewardship and the empowerment of future leaders within the Polynesian community. I believe that preserving our planet begins with investing in those who will care for it—especially voices that have long carried the wisdom of living in harmony with nature. This scholarship is dedicated to supporting students of Samoan descent who are passionate about Environmental Science and committed to making a difference in their communities and beyond. As stewards of rich island traditions, I recognize the vital role Polynesian youth can play in shaping sustainable futures—not only for their homelands, but for the world. My goal is to help offset the cost of college expenses for students pursuing studies that align with environmental sustainability, conservation, climate science, or related fields. I hope to inspire a new generation of scientists, advocates, and change-makers who carry forward both cultural heritage and scientific knowledge in defense of our planet.
