Thank you very much for considering me as a finalist! Your support will allow me to be considered for more scholarship opportunities as I continue my education, and I will be able to help the Hispanic community overcome generational trauma while removing the stigma from mental health.

Thank you, Mr. Brick, for seeing so much potential in me that you gave me the opportunity to be a finalist in the Jerome D. Carr Memorial Scholarship. I truly resonate with the characteristics that you mentioned that Jerome Carr has and look forward to making an impact the same way Jerome would. In my submission to this scholarship, I mentioned that I am a health administration major with future plans to be a health consultant. What I did not mention is that this year will be my third year in college, meaning that I am a junior, so I am getting closer to the finish line. I would greatly appreciate your financial help, and I am great at budgeting, hence my intended career path. I promise your help will go a long way. I would like to tell you an additional fact about myself so you can have all the necessary information to make your choice: I plan to open maternity clinics in foreign countries, and the first place on my mind is Haiti. I am not only proud to embrace my mental struggles but also my Haitian-American background. I see the importance of giving women the proper care to make sure their child receives the best foot forward, especially black kids, where the world seems to hate our joy. But from what you mentioned of Jerome, he seems to bring joy to everyone he meets, and I hope to make him proud through my studies, my ambitious goals in my career path, and important causes.   Thank you from a woman hoping to make a difference in the best way I see fit, from Rotrude Saint-Louis.

Thank you for considering me! I come from a low-income household where I am a first-generation student who has maintained a place in both the Deans list and Presidents list. I want to become a leader and role model for other young adults pursuing a career in health and medicine. My goal in life is to become a doctor and to assist my patients with their mental health. I hope I can apply again one day. Thank you!
