Mission

Our mission is to provide funding for students whose life events have impacted their High School education. In particular we aim to support students who are seeking to obtain their GED or who have obtained a GED and are now enrolling in college. We believe that a GED and any level of college education is valuable no matter the age of the student.

Dear Katherine Gardner, I am deeply grateful and honored to be chosen as a recipient of the Carol B. Warren, You are Loved Scholarship. Your generosity and belief in students like me are truly life-changing. As a nursing student and a mother of four young children, balancing school, parenting, and financial responsibilities is a daily challenge. This scholarship provides more than just financial relief—it offers hope, stability, and the encouragement I need to keep pushing forward. With your support, I am able to continue my education and move closer to building a brighter future for my family. Thank you for recognizing the value of second chances and believing that education has no age limit. Your kindness and dedication to helping students overcome obstacles will forever leave an impact on my journey. With sincere gratitude, Chelsea Harrison

Thank you for this recognition and for supporting my future ambitions! I know there were many applicants for this scholarship to choose from, and I am sincerely grateful that you saw the potential in me that I may not have even seen in myself. This award means so much more to me than imaginable. When I first saw this scholarship, I was moved by Carol's story and the strength she had to endure such hardships in her life. Losing a parent is one of the hardest things to have to go through, but Carol's unwavering love and kindness are truly inspiring to me. I can only hope to have as much strength and perseverance as she did, and that these qualities will help me make a difference in others' lives. Becoming a doctor has been my biggest goal for such a long time, and I am finally beginning this journey soon. This scholarship will not only help me financially but also serve as a reminder as to why I have this dream in the first place. I am a firm believer that treating others with kindness and compassion can change their lives, and I couldn't think of a better way to do this than through medicine. Once again, I am so thankful for this award and that this committee has extended their kindness to me. I cannot wait to begin my career in healthcare and start using my knowledge to make a difference.
