Dear Justin To & Ann Tran, Thank you sincerely for selecting me as a recipient of the scholarship established in Ethan To’s memory. I am honored and grateful for your generosity and the opportunity to receive a scholarship that supports students committed to mental health awareness and service to others. Reading about Ethan and the purpose behind this scholarship was very moving. It is clear that he brought kindness and light to those around him, and it is inspiring to see his memory continue through support for students who hope to make a positive difference in their communities. As someone who immigrated to the United States and grew up witnessing the challenges that mental health stigma, disability, and communication barriers can create, I have committed my education and career to advocating for individuals whose voices are often overlooked.
