Honoring a Legacy of Service, Dedication, and Stewardship Established in memory of Quincy Jones, a dedicated NJ wildland firefighter, this annual memorial scholarship honors a life defined by service, commitment, and a deep connection to the natural world. Wildland firefighters dedicate themselves to protecting lives, communities, and the landscapes we cherish. This scholarship carries that spirit forward by supporting the next generation of students who share a passion for understanding, protecting, and preserving our environment and natural resources. Each year, we will award a $500 scholarship to one student pursuing further education in earth sciences, fire science, forestry, or agriculture. Through this scholarship, we hope to honor a lasting legacy by investing in students who will go on to make a meaningful difference in their communities, their chosen fields, and the world around them. Though he may no longer be with us, his dedication to service and the land he worked so hard to protect will live on through the ambitions and achievements of future generations. One life. A lasting legacy. A future worth protecting.
