Miramar

I'm a rising Junior at Princeton University who intends to use her future degree in Medical Anthropology and certificates in Values & Public Life and African American Studies to better the world. I am a visionary who is unafraid to spearhead change. I understand the importance of youth empowerment, mentorship, and providing social/economic mobility via entrepreneurship. I'm a charismatic, creative, analytical, and vehement individual who fully devotes herself to her tasks at hand. I have an unwavering devotion to bettering myself and others through teamwork, exposure to different viewpoints, and civil conversation. Overall, I love everything that I do. I'm extremely open to venturing into realms of expertise currently foreign to me, and I'm eager to experience all that the world has to offer.

Mission

Education is a right, not a privilege. I am currently a junior majoring in Medical Anthropology at Princeton, but finding scholarships so that I could afford to continue learning was a grueling process. Hence, I created @growingwithgabby on tiktok to share pivotal financial resources and school tips to make sure that everyone has access to the information needed to thrive academically. I hope to mitigate the financial difficulties that come with pursuing higher education. Whether this be through law or social entrepreneurship, I know this is my calling!

Thank you so much for considering me for the Growing with Gabby Scholarship. Naming me as a finalist encourages me to keep on trying and to never give up. I have faced many obstacles, but the obstacles have strengthened me. Thank you so much for offering a scholarship to help students. Once I graduate, I will not forget all of the arms that have supported me and lifted me up. I hope to follow your inspiration and financially help others. Thanks again, Kaia Noel Johnson (2023 Finalist)
