Dear David, I want to sincerely thank you for selecting me as the recipient of Maggie's Way - International Woman’s Scholarship. I feel deeply privileged to be recognized in Maggie’s memory, especially as an international student finding my place so far from Poland. I’m honored to carry on Maggie’s legacy through this scholarship. Your support lifts a tremendous weight from my shoulders and pushes me a step further to pursuing my passion for neuroscience without the overwhelming worry of finances. Being able to focus more fully on my studies and on preparing to make a difference in medicine means the world to me and my family. I continue to push further by applying to as many scholarships as possible to achieve this dream and continue Maggie's legacy. As you have already learned, I moved to America at 17, and I’m working to build a future for myself through college and pursuing neurosurgery. It’s a path that requires the same spirit and perseverance you’ve described in Maggie, and I hope to live up to that standard every day. Your generosity and commitment to uplifting women with resilience and drive truly inspire me. I’m grateful to be part of Maggie’s legacy and to have the opportunity to work toward my goals because of your belief in students like me. Thank you so much. This scholarship means a lot to me because it gets me one step closer to reaching my dreams. Growing up in DRC, it is rare for anyone to pursue higher education. It is even more rare for women, especially in STEM fields. Being chosen for this scholarship gives me more confidence and belief that I can overcome the challenges of being an international student with a limited support system.
