Our mission is to honor the life and memory of Jonathan Wade Lightfoot by supporting veterans as they pursue higher education and build the next chapter of their lives. Through this scholarship, we hope to ease some of the financial burden that can come with going to school, while also bringing greater awareness to the mental health challenges many veterans face, including PTSD. We believe education, purpose, community, and meaningful work can all play an important role in moving forward after military service. Jonathan’s memory is at the heart of this scholarship. By helping veterans reach their goals and encouraging open conversations about mental health, we hope his name continues to make a difference for years to come.
