Mission

To assist veterans in attaining their goals of pursuing higher education. Our father was an educator and veteran, who dedicated his life to helping make the educational dreams of students from his community a reality. We seek to continue his work by assisting with the educational financial needs of veterans.

Dear Acuna, I want to sincerely thank you for awarding me the John Acuña Memorial Scholarship. It means so much to be recognized in this way, and I feel truly privileged to receive this honor. Your support has greatly eased my financial concerns, allowing me to dedicate myself more fully to my studies in Human Services without distraction. After 22 years in the Marine Corps, transitioning to civilian life and continuing my education has been both challenging and rewarding. This scholarship empowers me to pursue my passion for supporting fellow veterans and giving back through volunteer work and community involvement. I'm honored to carry on John Acuña’s legacy through this scholarship, and your family's commitment to helping veterans achieve their educational goals is truly inspiring. Your generosity not only lifts a burden but also motivates me to work even harder to help others as I rebuild my own path. I hope to make a lasting impact for other veterans, just as your father did for so many in his community. Once again, thank you for your kindness and belief in my potential. Your support makes a real difference in my life and in the lives of those I aim to serve. Thank you, Kevin Reyes
