- Mentorship and support for college-bound young mothers and children of young mothers. - Support for young mothers who's path will have particularly unique challenges when combining the nurturing of a child with the nurturing of the pursuit of their formal education. Alison Brown, whom this foundation is named after, was a young mother at the age of 18 who sacrificed her pursuit of a degree to dedicate herself to her son, her subsequent children and to the pursuit of her career. That commitment resulted in bountiful personal and professional success; her family, friends, and success in the multi family industry evidence of that. Her personal passion is serving others which she aims to do in her day to day. Recognizing the luck, timing and resources that were part of her own journey… she hopes to offer support to those in similar circumstances with this scholarship; particularly those who aim to better themselves with formal education while remaining committed to the responsibilities, joys and challenges of raising a child.
