Once I have graduated from high school, I plan to attend Truckee Meadows Community College during the Fall 2024 semester. I will enroll in their HVAC program, as I have gained motivation to select this trade as my career. I am interested in HVAC because it is a necessity to the entire world and will always be needed. I see the future of HVAC as not only a job but a career. Once I have learned enough and become certified, I will find well-paying work anywhere I reside. I want to be happy with what I am doing and enjoy it. I have always been a hard-working individual and have loved the field of HVAC. Throughout high school, I worked for a company as a handyman. I have learned a little about every trade during my employment. I have worked on plumbing, electrical, HVACR, framing, flooring, roofing, concrete, carpentry, drywall, tile setting, and many more. I have also partaken in a new class at my school this year called "Construction Home Building". This class is a two-period long session throughout the entire school year. The class consisted of building a house from the ground up, doing every part of the house as a class. In the recent months, I have taken every possible opportunity to work towards my HVAC dreams. I started my plans by figuring out the HVAC programs and internships that I was the most interested in that would work the best for me. I have contacted a company called Oasic HVAC in Fallon, Nevada, owned by Jeff Goings. Jeff has given me the opportunity to work a paid internship this summer to learn more about HVAC before I begin to attend school, once I had done some research on the HVAC program at Truckee Meadows Community College, I took it upon myself to take a tour of both, their Dandini campus and William N. Pennington Applied Technology Center campus. At the William N. Pennington Applied Technology Center, I was lucky to meet the HVAC instructor, Wes Evans. I was able to make an incredible contact meeting Mr. Evans, he has been more than excited to help me and answer any questions I have. I have enrolled into TMCC, looking at classes, began working on many different scholarships, and completed my FAFSA. I will continue to work towards my plans in the field of HVAC until my goals have been met. I believe many adults would recommend me to receive this scholarship because of my potential, discipline, and attitude. Many would describe me as a hard-working and respectful individual. I have always kept a great attitude and showed nothing except passion for the things in my life. I am a reliable young-man and have always kept a good head on my shoudlers. Thank you for your consideration. I am eager to start my education in HVAC and anticipate gaining further knowledge.
