I am a mother of two beautiful girls, ages 3 and 5, working towards my dream of becoming a teacher. Although having kids at a young age was challenging, I’m now ready to continue my education with my children in school, giving me more hours in the day to focus on this opportunity.
My goal is to create a bright future for us while instilling the importance of education in my kids. Scholarships will help me overcome financial barriers and reach my goals, and I hope someone recognizes my potential. Thank you.

My life has been shaped by challenges that started in childhood and have continued into adulthood, but through those struggles, I have discovered strength and resilience I didn’t know I had. Growing up, I did not have the traditional bond that most children experience with their parents. My mother was not present in my life, and I was raised by my grandmother. While she cared for me and wanted me to succeed academically, I never received the emotional connection, guidance, or nurturing I truly needed. At the same time, my father was present physically but emotionally distant. He often looked past me, which left me feeling unseen, unheard, and unworthy. Those early years planted a deep longing within me—to one day create a loving, supportive environment for my own children, one where they would always know their worth.
At 19, I became a young mother. Becoming a mother changed everything about my life, shifting my priorities and sense of purpose. However, the journey was far from easy. My relationship with my children’s father was abusive, both physically and mentally. Despite the fear and pain, I carried on, and after giving birth to my second daughter, I found the strength to leave that relationship. I made the choice to return to my hometown and begin the difficult but necessary path of raising my children on my own.
Now, as a single mother of two daughters, ages three and five, my life is filled with both challenges and determination. Financial struggles are a constant reality, and I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, which add to the weight I carry daily. Yet through it all, I continue to rise because I know that my daughters are watching me. They deserve stability, love, and opportunities that I did not have growing up. Every decision I make is fueled by my desire to give them a better future.
Motherhood has been the greatest influence on my educational aspirations. My daughters motivate me to keep pushing forward even on the hardest days. I want to show them, through my actions, that no matter what hardships you face or what kind of start you are given in life, you can rise, grow, and achieve your dreams. Education is my path toward creating a stable life for my family, but it is also the way I can give back to others. I hope to use my degree to build a meaningful career that not only supports my children but also allows me to serve and inspire young women who may be walking a path similar to mine.
The difficulties I faced growing up without the nurturing of a mother or father, the trauma of an abusive relationship, and the struggles of being a single parent have taught me empathy, perseverance, and strength. These qualities will guide me as I continue my education and work to make an impact on my community.
Receiving this scholarship would make an enormous difference in my life. It would relieve some of the financial burdens that often feel overwhelming and would allow me to devote more energy to my education and my daughters. More than just financial help, this scholarship would represent an investment in my future—a future where I am able to break cycles of pain and struggle, replace them with opportunity and love, and create lasting change not only for my family but for others as well.
I am determined to turn my hardships into motivation and my struggles into a testimony of resilience. With your support, I will continue working toward academic success, providing for my daughters.
