What I was made for - this is an iconic way to define the oppression applied to women. The stereotype that Barbie's movie reflects strongly shows the sad side of a female in this world. Every time I hear it moves everything in me. I have lived in my bones how is to be undrestamitted. I know how it feels to be just a beautiful piece of meat in someone else eyes. The ease in the song is somehow scary and calming. The lyrics are just made for my Billie she is just an amazing singer. Happier than ever- Toxic relantioship is happier than ever. It is a masterpiece portraying how difficult is to accept that it was holding me back. He was stealing my energy and love for life.     Five of the main reasons that guide me to consider having an education in counseling are intrinsic. One of my family's inspirations is that my mother is a fair advocate of mental health. Two, my love for people, especially children of all ages. Three, my passion for psychology, four. I went through mental health struggles myself and I want to teach the young population to deal with and heal because life can be challenging when you don't have the skills and the true people around. Fourth I consider myself a person that is focused, determined, and passionate about psychology, and everything related to well-being seems at a young age. Five, to have my practice and as a mental health counselor to make a difference in my Latine community. My interactions in the field started when I was a Mentor for high school students, in the CHAMP GEAR UP program, where I built my leadership skills by helping students learn how to stand up for themselves respectfully, during this program, I was challenged to perform critical thinking regarding what was the best approach to solve a problem with my groups of students. Then, I participated in an internship at Family Link at the Center for Family Services where I developed objective communication with clients while scheduling counselor intake assessments. As well as building connections with the employees at this Non-Profit organization on how to be the best helper for the population. Another important role that I am currently doing is working as a Behavior Technician where the primary source of services provided are connections to comprehend and implement the treatment created by my BCBA. Working with children and adolescents deeply connects with my passion for becoming a therapist while all my diverse experiences meet at the same ground in mental health and connection with humans. Taking feedback gracefully is a skill that needs to be mastered with time of course. Now I do not react the same as I reacted in my freshman year.     Minority/Women in STEM Scholarship
    Throughout my educational journey, I have encountered several challenges while pursuing my STEM education. One of the key obstacles I faced was the rigorous coursework and the need to balance multiple subjects simultaneously. Managing the workload, assignments, and exams became overwhelming at times, requiring me to develop effective time management strategies and organizational skills. I learned to prioritize tasks, create schedules, and seek help from professors and peers when needed. Overcoming these challenges taught me resilience, adaptability, and the importance of perseverance in achieving my educational goals. Another challenge I encountered was the lack of diversity and representation in STEM fields. It became apparent to me that there was a significant gender and racial disparity, which hindered the inclusivity and innovation potential of these fields. To address this issue, I actively engaged in initiatives aimed at promoting diversity and inclusion in STEM. I joined organizations that focused on empowering underrepresented groups and participated in mentorship programs to support aspiring students from diverse backgrounds. By sharing my experiences, providing guidance, and fostering a supportive environment, I aim to inspire and encourage individuals who may face similar challenges to pursue their passion in STEM.     PAC: Diversity Matters Scholarship
    One of the aspects of my identity that I feel proud of is being Latina. I was born and Race in the Dominican Republic. And my perspective spews out that Life is different. As a Latina woman, I considered myself as strong, and passionate about every that I do in my life. Seems I was a kid who deemed about helping others. I have respect for all living things especially for bees when I was a child I used to play around the bees in my backyard without being afraid of them. With my bees, I learned that being capm to solve and help others is extremely relevant to grow as a woman and as a one-to-one helper in the PA field. I think that they are an important part of the ecosystem as women are for society. I valued family, they are my inspiration in life they nurture my existence in this life. I think that family can be biological or created for yourself. I always found myself in situations where I found family modules institutions like Upward for English learners or AsCEND FOR UNREPRESENTED students at Rowan University, school is one of the parts of life that enjoy the most. In this program I found counselors professors and wonderful staff to build bush my confidence as First generation student. seems I left the country in 2019, but My heart is there still. Also, My family seems I was little every Sunday attended the Catholic church, where I sing in the chorus with my friends to commemorate being together as a community singing for the service of my Dear God. God build my spirit, he gave me a sense of belonging on this planet and meaning as well. Life is no easy but knowing that today I am a life, I am bringing, I have time. That gave me the power to continue working toward my goals, dreams, and hopes. I hope to help others with my skills learned and the gift that God put in my hands to help others, skills like my second language Spanish and English. So as all this being said I will bring one realises and peace to others. Second I will approach mental health issues to help others and people's diseases better. Third I will turn my skills as a bridge builder between doctors and patients translating for them in the consultations. And finally, I will enjoy my journey until I can be at that stage in my life then I continue to help my community in all the versions possible on my end.
