    Bold Helping Others Scholarship
Helping others mean a lot to me since a young girl all I ever wanted to do was help and give back to others that are less unfortunate or just need help in general. My favorite way to help others is by doing community services and also hosting events to gather donations to give back. Giving back is a main part of why I want to go to college to be able to come back and show and help my people that they can make it also I love going to my local park in my community and feeding the less unfortunate with my family and just getting to know the men and women who aren’t able to have what I have and who aren’t fortunate enough to be able to get a job or get back in forth to work on time. Giving back is my calling.

My story hasn’t always been good, as a young child I grew up without Mother or Father in the house it affected me in many ways , but also made me stronger and developed me to become this strong young black women I am right now. Growing up me and my mother’s relationship wasn’t always good, but she always made away to teach us about life even though I wasn’t in the same household she always made away to be in my life. When I was born my mother was only 18 years old a child raising two children on her own, when she had my oldest sister her mom kicked her out the house and she was moving from place to place , than came along me I’m thankful for my grandmother who help take me in so my mother could get back on her feet I was only 2 weeks old. When I became old enough to understand my mother admittedly told me everything that happen so I wouldn’t feel like she just gave me alway she always made sure I knew that she came back for me , but she seen I was doing so well with my grandmother she allowed me to be raised by her but she also never left my side . She’s the best mother a girl can have her lessons has built me a lot of things she preaches about have saved me from so many bad choices and so many bad people I am grateful for her because I know that some kids out there don’t have that so I cherish mines a lot harder. My mothers bond with me is strong, she supports me in anything do and want to do not only because she’s my mother but because she sees me when no one else sees me she pushes me to become something that she couldn’t, she teaches life lessons through anything she can. My mother is the strongest women I know, she is what motivates me to go as hard I go to never give up on my dreams or sell myself to short I’m capable of being who I want to be with without determining on anyone or anything. Through her story that she shared with me and the strong bond we have influenced me to become someone, so I can finally take care of her she can finally relax and no longer have to fight anymore she can breath and enjoy life , with me attending college and being able to graduate in follow my dream I can take her along with me to explore more than this small city in Florida on the south side full of negative energy . Being able to listen to her story and want more out of life influenced me so much to fight for what I want. I am my mothers child.

Growing up in a small town in Florida where crime rates spiral uncontrollable ,and growing up in family, and community where no one really makes it pass that high school diploma made me want to look at life differently. The value of education is something that I understand since a very young age. Neither of my parents got the opportunity to explore more than life past where they’re now and addition I never really got to experience life with the both of them I’ve always been raised by my grandmother. Although both of my parents made it there duty to set me on the right pathway to want to further my education and be able to make a change not only within our family, but for our community too. I’m passionate about making a change showing every young black kid and my community that and education can get you farther than that diploma.Throughout my years in high school which this year will be my last year I’ve been in the IB program the (International Bachelorette program) that has gave me many challenges to face to improve my education and also get me ready and prepared for college. This program was one of the major steps I took towards my passion it lead me a foot in the right direction. This program also overwhelmed at the beginning I was telling myself “this is too hard I can’t I can’t” but I overcame that normal negative mindset that is all around me and shut out the noises and focused on what I wanted to make out of myself at the end. Every since a little girl I’ve always been determined to be someone, that girl or women that’s known for bringing change and showing all the young black girls that we rock and we rule. My passion is within the law I may not be able to change the justice system but my fight is to bring justice to those who don’t have voices I will be their voice. To continue, I want to be the voice to get heard when others are not allowed to use theirs I want people to be able to have faith in the justice system I want this world to be at peace not against each other . Despite the odds being against me if selected for this scholarship I will continue on the passion in the legacy of those who want change and those who don’t have voices. Thank you In advance for your consideration.

My educational goals is to go to my desired HBCU college which is FAMU to get and Masters in Law. I want to become a lawyer to take stand not only for my people but for what is right I want to be able to be that voice that some don’t possess, I also want to create some changes through out the system alone. This goal with help my further professional goals because it will help me thrive within my career field, it will also give me the ability to be the first out of my family to go to college and graduate with an masters degree I can be a visual representation to my younger siblings and cousins that if you put your mind to it you can achieve it. I also believe that it would make my goals easier to stay on track and achieve because this is a passion of my mind and I want to be able to achieve every goal I put my mind to. I would also like to get a minor degree in Historical African American History to learn more about my culture and I also believe with learning history can also help with what I’m aiming for in the future because it will help shape my future in many ways. This minor degree has been a long timing goal that I have desired and I can’t wait to be able to achieve it. With all my goals at the end I would just like to make my family proud of my accomplishments that’s one of my main goals that I feel will sum up my whole professional goal . Once I reach my educational goals and I start off with my professional goals I would like to reach where I can start my own business and making a change in society with this business I would like to also start programs and charities to make a change in further some of my goals that I want to achieve within my business and watch it thrive to the top. I also believe achieving these goals I would be representing the women in my life and how strong and powerful they are and how powerful they are for helping me thrive to teaching the goals that they couldn’t achieve, but made sure that I could do these things and succeed like they wanted .

As a young black women I feel that I can Make a change in this world not only for my people but stand for all, more importantly I will be confident and brave with the challenges I would be facing. I feel that some ways I can address challenges that arise because of intersectionality in the workforce, is by becoming an lawyer and not only to defend but to represent the powerful black women who can stand up for what is right. With intersectionality through out the injustice of the law I will make it my duty to show to younger women that because of the challenges you will face don’t let that affect the power we uphold. I will take a stand against intersectionality to make a further change in the Justice System and I will not back down from any fight . I will also start clubs to teach young men and women who would want to start a career in law and help them with their pathway and also start programs at schools to advocate change .
