father passed away when I was just three years old, leaving a lasting emotional and financial impact that I still feel now. Our family endured difficulties that no child should have to go through because my mother were the only ones who could provide for my younger brother, older sister, and myself. College was never portrayed as a reality much while I was growing up, but rather as an ideal. Without my dad, there would have been no college money or emergency savings. Despite her persistent efforts, my mother's income was insufficient to meet all of the costs. It seemed impossible for me to pursue my desire of going to college. In order to lessen the financial burden on my family, my oldest sister took part-time jobs while I concentrated on community college for the future. My goal is to earn a PhD/DVM in veterinary medicine and build a secure future for my family and myself. My goal is to spare my kids from ever having to worry about money the way I did. Our financial difficulties were made worse by our inadequate life insurance coverage. After my dad passed away unexpectedly, our family had no financial security. My mother had to bear the full financial load of raising three small children. Moreover, my own experiences instill a strong feeling of advocacy for other single mothers and a deep empathy for families in similar situations, potentially motivating me to make substantial contributions to my community.

My father passed away when I was just three years old, leaving a lasting emotional and financial impact that I still feel now. Our family endured difficulties that no child should have to go through because my single mother was the only one who could provide for my older brother, older sister, and myself. Making it even harder that my mother had long hours of work at a clinic, hardly being able to see her being with a babysitter after school, missing the only parent I had left to care for me. Although my mother not only being a single mother, but a widowed mother. Influencing me as a young girl soon to be young woman, as I am now, objectives and views on family and partnership. Seeing my mother's sacrifices and dedication inspired such a strong desire for stability and a deliberate attitude for my future partnerships. I stress open communication, mutual respect, and shared responsibility in my personal partnerships, knowing exactly what commitment implies. And even though college was never portrayed as a reality much while I was growing up, but rather as an ideal. Without my dad, there would have been no college money or emergency savings. Despite her persistent efforts, my mother's income was insufficient to meet all of the costs. Growing up with a single mother built a strong feeling of resilience and independence at a young age. Witnessing my mother face life's obstacles, often with little help, is a tremendous demonstration of strength, drive, and resourcefulness. This frequent exposure to a woman juggling various responsibilities as a provider, caretaker, and protector truly can help a woman, as myself, develop a strong work ethic, a pragmatic approach to problem solving, and a profound appreciation for self-reliance. Learning to be adaptable, to accept responsibility willingly, and to recognize the importance of endurance when facing challenges. It seemed impossible for me to pursue my desire of going to college. I concentrated on community college for the future. My goal is to earn a PhD/DVM in veterinary medicine and build a secure future for my family and myself. Our financial difficulties were made worse by our inadequate life insurance coverage. After my dad passed away unexpectedly, our family had no financial security. My mother had to bear the full financial load of raising three small children. Without having to worry about how she was going to support us, my mother could have concentrated on raising us. Despite the difficulties, I have always made an effort to support my family and myselt. In order to lessen the strain on my mother, my oldest sister took on part-time jobs, where as I also took on more duties at home. I cut lawns, and created my own small business as a kid, selling slime, which was a trending fidgety goo, to children in my neighborhood. Eventually, my older brother took on a part-time job as well that he worked nearly everyday at, never getting days off due to his choice of wanting to work to be able to make a living. Although, my mother's loving and attentive focus, combined with shared experiences and discussions about life's complexities, lead to a better knowledge of human relationships and emotions. My mother eventually got a job at the very elementary school I went to, making things more comfortable that I saw her more often. I will still forever cherish the way we made the best of the childhood of my siblings and I.

Also gaining a clear view on partnership and equality after witnessing personally the passion and effort required to manage a family and raise a child alone. Therefore, I am forever grateful for everything my mother has done for me, personally. Despite the difficult reason for being a single mother, It truly has shaped me as a person for the better.

An aspect that motivated me to become successful is making not just my finally but specifically my dad proud, he was fully hispanic and came to the U.S. as a young adult. My dad didn’t have much opportunity to succeed, besides trade school, he’s always wanted to be and do something greater, he sadly passed away when I was 3 years young and can no longer get that opportunity. Now it is me, my mom, older and, younger siblings. Me and my brother who were always with my dad before he passed always wanted to make him proud, now we try even more to achieve it so he can look down on us from heaven and see I am doing beyond what he has wanted for us and me to do, as I hope I would. I have not only wanted to do this for my father, but mother, eldest sister, grandma, and of course, myself. I want to be able to pursue the career I want, which is not easy at all with basic education. My mother wants the best for me and she also did not get the opportunity with having little college experience, having to take time off to raise my oldest sister, who also dropped college during the covid year. And my grandma who came to the U.S. in her 20s to have greater experience but had to work to make a living, not being able to go back to school, as she only did in Mexico. Pursuing my education is highly important to me for many reasons, I want to truly be someone and something to help the world, people, animals, and environment for the better. Which is not easy to do, and never handed to you. I hope to bring the world together because we can’t always work without a team, as well as needing my education to help me with my growth personally and professionally. I want to prove others wrong who believe I can’t do it and prove my deceased father right, that I can do it. Including the help of my mother being their for me and all my family, not going to waste, I will and can make a difference, I will and can pursue my dream career and college where I can experience as many opportunities as I can imagine and be and do something great soon. I want to have great opportunities in Texas and other states to spread opportunities to my hispanics culture. Including spreading awareness to those who are always judged for being hispanic, or misinterpreted for even being hispanic do to having fair skin, or darker skin. Equality is needed.

Agriculture supports the community in many ways, some ways I believe it does are production of food; providing food and trade to help many economies, giving economic growth and the world nourishment, also providing jobs for people, giving them a source of income. Agriculture gives students education, also giving a source to learn from. As I mentioned before it gives the world nourishment, benefiting it environmentally. Perhaps even herbs or plants like; chamomile used in teas, etc to help with many things like cramps, inflammation, peppermint can help anxiety, depression or stress, even primrose, echinacea, the list could go on, can be used to provide for medicines for humans and possibly animals. Sustainable farming methods are excellent at conserving natural resources, sustaining soil quality, and fostering biodiversity, being helpful to the environment and community. Being a big “foodie” person myself, trying new restaurants near and around, farming agriculture has involvement with cuisines in communities. Including keeping traditions alive, helping cultural heritage. Being an FFA member at my school where I have taken the class Principles of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources my freshman year of high school, Small Animal Management my first semester of sophomore year, Equine Science my second semester of sophomore year and took my first semester of Veterinarian Medicine (vet med) my junior year, and currently starting my second semester of vet med as a junior where it has already greatly impacted me, to where I can impact the future, therefore, I can impact the future with agriculture but adopting in agriculture practices that may help preserve components from the environment to make them long termed, like conserving water and organic farming. At my home, in my backyard, I currently already practice organic farming with my family where I grow mint plants to use for any cooking as well as a peach tree, tomato plant, and hot peppers plant. I am currently in the process with my family where we are looking at more to grow, but being reasonable with the budget, where I could possibly impact by supporting biodiversity and grow and assortment of crops like fruits and veggies to eat or cook with. Where I could then share my agricultural knowledge and educate others about agriculture and my practices with biodiversity or farming techniques. Educating them how important agriculture is how it could negatively impact us and the world without it, like food, crop and animal shortages or even lead to rising unemployment rates, so I could be spreading more information to help preserve by getting others inspired to join in on the practices, to help the environment, keep our world alive and thriving with agricultures very important help.
