I didn't start off with a love for film, but with the idea of bringing concepts to life. Hence, my love for writing. I am currently working on a poem book that talks about issues like depression, breakups, marriages, child abuse, etc. Not only has writing my book helped me cope but I know it will also do the same for others. One of my goals is to leave an impact on those I come across. The profit made from my poetry book will be used to help the underprivileged, minorities, the abused, etc. I don't want my knowledge to only be for my own benefit; I would like to pass down what I know to others. I want to be the voice for those who have been silenced. I want to make sure I treat everyone equally and make smart choices. All of this led to my love for film. Writing a script or brainstorming a concept and seeing the visual that sometimes explains what words cannot. Films leave an impact, even if that impact may vary from person to person. My other hobbies include drawing, braiding hair, and meditating. I also love to research. Whether it's research on a burning question or keeping up with current events, I love to do it. I believe I am a great candidate because I have big goals for the future and plan to help many while doing so. Going to college would help me further my education and set me on the right path to achieving these goals. But I just need a little financial help to do so.
