Hello, my name is Yossari. I am a first-generation DACA college student who loves science and math! I am currently working on a bachelor's degree in Human Health Sciences. Once I finish my undergraduate studies, I will enroll in a grad program for clinical dietitians. Like others on this platform, I have experienced financial, social, and educational hardships being a first-generation immigrant and college student. I am passionate about dismantling diet culture in the US with a concentration on Women and Latin communities. As young women, especially in Hispanic households, we are constantly judged for our weight and eating habits which resulted in generations of eating disorders. With help, I hope to bring education to young women across America to begin reshaping our relationship with food and our bodies!
