My life goals center around making a meaningful impact in healthcare by improving access to care for underserved communities and promoting health equity. Through my experiences, I have developed a passion for supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and creating environments grounded in empathy, inclusion, and empowerment. As a future Physician Assistant (PA), I aim to provide compassionate, patient-centered care while advocating for those facing systemic healthcare barriers.
I am particularly passionate about addressing health disparities. While teaching in a Title I school in Georgia, I witnessed how socioeconomic inequalities impacted my students’ development. This experience inspired me to pursue a Master of Public Health (MPH), where I learned how social determinants like race and immigration status influence health outcomes. I am driven to help those who face difficulties accessing care due to these systemic factors. As a PA, I will continue this work by treating patients and advocating for health equity.
I am also passionate about education and mentorship. My roles as a teacher, mentor, and teaching assistant have shown me the power of fostering inclusive, learner-centered environments. I am a great candidate because of my diverse experiences and commitment to advocacy. My background in teaching, public health, and clinical settings has prepared me to be a culturally competent, empathetic provider who advocates for health equity and is committed to reducing barriers to care and improving outcomes for underserved communities.
