I am originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina. Received my bachelor degree there and worked in industry for 3 years until I decided to start a new life in the US doing a PhD. I enjoy teaching and share my knowledge with new students (mentor). I also consider myself a ‘problem solver’ and enjoy finding solutions to both manageable and complex issues. I have been living with diabetes for almost 12 years. Living with type 1 diabetes in the US is definitely a big challenge, as all the medications are quite expensive. I am also currently pregnant with my first baby!! Although managing type 1 diabetes, gradschool and pregnancy at the same time can be challenging, all the help and support from friends and family inspire me to keep growing and reaching my goals!
