I’m Yaa Kornne, currently pursuing my Occupational Therapy Doctorate (OTD) at Duke University. I hold a B.S. in Rehabilitation Science from the University of Pittsburgh, along with certificates in Community Health Assessment and African Studies. My academic and professional journey is driven by a deep commitment to advancing equitable healthcare and empowering individuals across all stages of life.   Worked along side Sacred Road Ministries to support the Native American population of Yakama, WA. Hosted Kid's Club at Totus Park in which I organized and led arts and crafts. Assisted in demolishing and reconstructing a wooden house deck for a community member. These efforts were to support and provide for the people of Yakama while supplying them with hope, faith, and the love of God.

  Assisted nurses on the Post General Surgery unit with patient comfort needs and discharge. Provided patients with snacks, drinks, blankets, pillows, etc. In Guest Services Department directed hospital guest to their destination within the building. Trained in proper use of a wheelchair, to assist with discharging patient from various units within the hospital.
