I, Yaa Kornne, am a senior at the University of Pittsburgh intending on majoring in Rehabilitation Science and completing certificates in Community Health Assessment and African Studies. I am an aspiring occupational therapist seeking to interact and positively impact the lives of people while working towards their goals; reengagement and independence in meaningful activities. I will also seek to promote equitable health services to those of all abilities, incomes, races, and ethnicities. Additionally, my passion for athletics sparks my interest in injury prevention and recovery. Throughout my educational journey I plan to engage in various internships and volunteer opportunities that will further immerse me into healthcare and healthcare equity. Thus, equipping me to become an effective and impactful therapist.
