Be Skilled Find Success Scholarship
I am a High School Graduate in Conway, Arkansas. I graduated in May 2025. My dream is to help "build America". I am going to Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa, Oklahoma in July 2025. I am 18 years old and I am an only-child to my parents. I have ambitions to become a professional welder. I will be starting this journey this year and I am happy to be starting on this path. I have learned that I need to have the drive in life to work hard and go far. I want to be a positive impact on the world.
I enjoy welding because it's hand-on. My plan is help others build things that they want and need. I have been welding for two years in High school. This has really helped me to power forward and be the best welder that I can be. Welding is a passion of mine that developed while in High school. Learning new things and to weld things together is exciting to me. I like how you can fix something that is broken and put it back together. This is symbolic of life as well. Sometimes we as people go through things, but with God, we can work through it. There are many struggles that we deal with in life and I want to be the person who receives this scholarship to carry on the legacy of welding.
This scholarship will help me to pay for trade school and I will in turn be able to take care of myself and my family once I graduate. I want to be able to pay it forward by helping others who may be in need. Welding teaches discipline, patience, gain knowledge, and develop skills. Welding will help me have job security, independence, travel opportunities, and to be make money while doing so.
Welding is teaching me how to be mindful and careful while working. Hands-on working is what I plan to do as my career for my entire life, until I retire. I am ready to learn and meet new people in the welding field. I am laid back and welding allows for me to be myself. I love music and video games. I plan to do my work once I graduate and then go home and relax from a hard days work. This is my inspiration for welding. Pipe welding, maybe even to work on cars also.
Thanks,
Xavier Allen
