Hi there! I'm a student-athlete currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science. In my free time, I lead and teach a cohort of young women the basics of programming, and run an eCommerce business. Hopefully, by combining both my creative and analytical tendencies, I'll develop something that aids all of society. Most recently, I've designed and sold 4 new products in which proceeds were donated to aid global youth education, specifically in STEM. We have raised $1k+ to donate to Girls Who Code and Code.org; nonprofits dedicated to increasing the number of women and other minority groups within CS by providing accessible and affordable resources. And with that, I have had the pleasure of educating 2000 people about the gender gap within CS. Programs ran by these nonprofits introduced me to the field of STEM during middle school and without them, I would have not found my passion! It's super rewarding seeing how I can apply my programming skills to business, education, design, and so much more. I can't wait to see how this application can be further developed during my time at university.
