Autel Awarding Excellence Scholarship
I am a dedicated community college student at Trenholm, currently pursuing my Auto Diesel Mechanic certification. I graduated high school in May 2026, and I am excited to continue my education while working toward a successful career in the transportation and automotive industry. My goal is to gain the technical skills needed to become a qualified diesel mechanic and eventually continue my education to become a certified CDL driver. My interest in this career path comes from my family, my experiences, and my lifelong admiration for driving and mechanical work. I have always wanted to become a professional driver because of my great uncle, who was a CDL driver for his entire life before he passed away. Watching his dedication, work ethic, and pride in his career inspired me to consider following a similar path. He showed me that being a professional driver requires responsibility, patience, focus, determination, and a commitment to safety. Watching his dedication and pride in his work inspired me to follow a similar path. I also have a great deal of respect for the important role truck and commercial drivers play in our communities. Every day, drivers transport food, supplies, equipment, materials, and other essential products that people and businesses depend on. Their work helps keep our communities and economy moving. I want to become part of that important responsibility and build a career where I can make a positive contribution. My grandfather is another important part of my inspiration. Although he has passed away, I learned more about his life and discovered that he was a skilled mechanic. Learning about his abilities and the work he was able to do with his hands gave me an even greater appreciation for mechanics and the skills involved in repairing and maintaining vehicles.Knowing that this was something he was good at has made pursuing Auto Diesel Mechanics feel even more meaningful to me. I feel like I am learning about and carrying forward a skill that was part of my family’s history. Receiving the $5,000 Autel Awarding Excellence Scholarship would make a tremendous difference in my education and career journey. The scholarship would help me with the costs associated with completing my Auto Diesel Mechanic training, including tuition, tools, equipment, books, supplies, and other educational expenses. Having financial assistance would allow me to focus more on my training and developing the hands-on skills I need instead of worrying as much about the financial burden of school. This scholarship would also help me move closer to my long-term goal of combining mechanical knowledge with professional driving skills. After completing my Auto Diesel Mechanic certification, I plan to return to college to earn my CDL certification. Ultimately, I want to build a stable and rewarding career in the transportation and automotive industry. I am hardworking, determined, and committed to building a better future. This scholarship would not only support my education; it would be an investment in my future and help me honor the influence of my family while creating a start to having my own business. I am ready to work hard, learn, grow, and make the most of this opportunity.

I am a dedicated community college student at Trenholm, currently pursuing my Auto Diesel Mechanic certification. I graduated high school in May 2026 and am focused on building a strong career in the transportation and automotive industry. My interest in this field comes from a lifelong admiration for both driving and mechanical work. I have always wanted to become a driver because of my great uncle, who was a CDL driver his entire life before he passed away. Watching his dedication and pride in his work inspired me to follow a similar path. I also deeply respect the role drivers play in our communities by safely transporting the goods and materials we rely on every day. Their work keeps society moving, and I want to be part of that important responsibility. In addition, I am inspired by my grandfather, who was a skilled mechanic. Seeing how he was able to fix and maintain vehicles while helping others motivated me to pursue my own certification in auto diesel mechanics so I can develop those same skills and help people in need. After completing my mechanic certification, I plan to continue my education and earn my CDL certification. I am hardworking, goal-oriented, and committed to learning, growing, and building a successful future in both driving and automotive repair.
