Bio

I am a fair redhead with a difficult medical history that has influenced my character today. Some of these medical issues included having both hips dislocated at birth, an extensive list of food allergies, and a resistance to local anesthesia. These challenges helped me in a positive way to become who I am today. Most of the food allergies have thankfully gone away. I also overcame my hip situation leaving the doctors in disbelief. They originally thought I would have difficulty walking, and never would be able to run. Defying all odds, I am a three sport, lettered, varsity athlete. I am also very active in my academic pursuits, and am an officer in my school's BETA, NHS, SGA, and Anchor clubs. I am very active in these clubs, one way of participation is through community service projects to help our community and those in need. These voluntary service projects are both on my own time and also with the school. Outside of school, I can usually be found at practice, the gym, studying, at church, or volunteering. I run the audio/visual system at my church and help our praise team. My grades are extremely important to me and are always a priority. It is necessary to have good grades and performance in my classes as I pursue my goal of becoming a medical doctor. Through my sports, academics, and volunteering I have learned to be committed, hard working, and to persevere. These qualities are necessary not only for high achievements in college, but also for lifelong success.
