WinnerHi my name is Wesly lane and I’m a current trade school student enrolled in combination welding. Welding interest me down to the science and the aesthetic , it’s like an art to me. Starting to weld was everything I hoped it would be it seems difficult but once you get it you’re going.
My friend first enrolled in tidewater no tech for combo welding and would talk about it at work, while I was thinking about welding for probably 2 years I thought “why not”. When it comes to class I’d say I’m a leader I always help my classmates with a process I feel comfortable with or if they are struggling, I tell them the way I look at it in my head so we can share the same thought process , I even help physically just outright showing them how to do it. I’m very social and happy in school, one of my classmates took their time to text me and thank me for the help I gave them. Even when it comes to the staff at the school I always give a helping hands and are one of the first people they go too if they need a task done or any assistance. I tell my classmates “my booth is always open” because I enjoy learning with everyone as a group all growing and getting better by the day. I grew up with just my mom and sister in the home so I was always the man of the house while trying to be a good big brother and role model. I lead in a lot of ways in life and would truely appreciate any scholarships offered to me.
