My goal is to graduate college and become a teacher or a therapist because I want to help others and give back to my community. I am really passionate about playing soccer. I am a great candidate because winning scholarships would mean a lot to me, it will pay for my education, as my parents are not able to pay for my college, and I was not born in the US, if I win scholarships and graduate school it would mean a lot to my mother that lives in Haiti.

@normandiealise #GenWealth Scholarship
Haiti is a developing nation where I was born. I grew up in a family where generational wealth was not possible. My mother didn’t finish school because she had my brother at a young age; I didn’t live with my dad until I moved to the US at 12, but I know he never finished school. No one in my family had the chance to go to college to have a promising career. I am a first-generation college student.
Generational wealth refers to the accumulation of wealth and assets over time that can be passed down to future generations. It is the ability to create a legacy of financial security and independence that extends beyond one’s own lifetime. To me, achieving generational wealth is not just about amassing a large fortune, but also about creating opportunities and building a foundation for future generations to thrive.
One way I plan to achieve generational wealth is by investing wisely. This means taking a long-term perspective, diversifying my portfolio, and avoiding impulsive or emotionally driven investment decisions. By focusing on steady, consistent growth rather than chasing quick returns, I hope to build a strong financial foundation that can weather market fluctuations and last for generations.
Another important aspect of achieving generational wealth is education and financial literacy. By learning about personal finance, investing, and money management, I aim to make informed decisions that will help me build wealth over time. I also believe in passing this knowledge down to future generations, so that they too can make smart financial choices and continue to build on the wealth we create.
Additionally, I also plan to prioritize savings and budgeting. By living below my means, I will be able to put more money into savings and investments, rather than spending it all on immediate wants and needs. I also understand that having an emergency fund, to help with unexpected expenses is important. This will help me weather financial storms in the short term and pave the way for long-term wealth building.
Lastly, I believe that building a business or creating a passive income stream can also be an effective way to achieve generational wealth. By building a business that generates revenue even when I’m not actively working on it, I can create a sustainable source of income that can help support future generations.
Achieving generational wealth is not an overnight process, it takes time and a lot of hard work. However, by focusing on smart investment decisions, financial education, savings, budgeting, and creating multiple income streams. I believe I can lay the foundation for a financially secure future for myself, my family, and future generations.
If I achieve generational wealth for my family and future generation, it would be a great deal for the Mompremier family and generations to come.

Life is a journey, a winding road
Full of ups and downs, twists and turns
It can be long or short, but always unfolds
With lessons to be learned, bridges to be earned
It's a tapestry, woven with care
Each thread a moment, each color a hue
Some bright and joyful, some dark and spare
But all part of the beauty, all part of the view
Life is a symphony, a grand melody
With highs and lows, crescendos and fades
Each note adds to the harmony, the story
A song of love, of loss, of hope, shades
It's a dance, a partner to our soul
Guiding us through joy and pain
A chance to be whole, to be bold
To love, to learn, to grow, to gain
Life is precious, a treasure to hold
Embrace it fully, young and old
Live it to the fullest, as it's told
Life is a gift, a story to be told

To me, influence means how my actions and personal belief affect those around me, and how the things I do affect others.
I influence others by interacting with others, and by preaching my beliefs.
I am undecided at the moment but I am open to designing video games because I love playing video games and I love to design a video game in the future.
If I receive this scholarship it would help me with furthering my education and that would mean a lot to me, it would also give me some confidence, knowing I won a scholarship out of thousands of people.

Soccer was the most popular sport in Haiti. I have played soccer since I was 4 or 6 years old; I also watched it. Growing up playing soccer and watching the game made me fall in love with it and became my passion. I played all the time with friends.
In 2015, I moved to the United States to get a better education. I played soccer in 6th grade, but I did not play in 7 and 8th grade because I moved to a new city. In 9th grade, I was on the freshman soccer team. I got a C in a class, and I had to quit to get better grades. I got my grade up, and I did track and field to prepare for soccer the next season. In sophomore year, I was on the soccer team, but I quit because I was not getting enough playing time. Then I did cross-country and track.
Covid happen and the spring track season was canceled, I couldn’t go anywhere, so I worked out in my house to get stronger for the upcoming year. Then came my senior year. I couldn’t do soccer because I moved to a new house and commuting from my house to practice would take a long time. I was also studying for SATs that year. Instead, I joined cross country because the school was closer to my house. Senior year, I stuck with cross-country and track, but aside from running, I was still playing soccer and training when I could.
In the summer of going to college, I trained for soccer because I was planning on trying out for the club team at Uconn. I was unlucky, and I didn’t make the team. Now I am in college, I am not a student-athlete yet, but every day after class and studying I set time aside to work out on my athleticism. On the weekends, I play soccer with some friends.
Playing sports while getting an education has not been easy, but it did help me gain some valuable skills that helped my academics. I learned how to work with others better; I learned how to manage my time better. I am a hardworking student. Being an athlete helped me stay on top of my schoolwork. To be an athlete, you had to have exceptional grades, and I did get that; I graduated high school with a 3.9 GPA, after all.

Rise by Jonas Blue ft. Jack & Jack. I enjoy listening to this song a lot because of the lyrics and the message that it brings. It talks about proving your parents wrong and succeeding, also not caring what they think. Because some parents think they know everything, they just assume everything about their kids. I relate to that because I live with my dad who always thinks that he's right about everything, he assumes everything about me because he thinks he knows everything. My dad wants me to become a nurse or a doctor because of how much money they earn, I don't care that nurses and doctors make a lot of money, I don't like the career. He thinks that I am not going to have a good life because I don't want to listen to him. Whenever I listen to rise it reminds me to not care about what he thinks, to follow my path to become successful and prove him wrong.
