Bio

I graduated as Salutatorian from Full Sail University in June of 2023 with a Bachelor's of Science in Music Production. During the time I was in college, I also studied for and earned my Florida Real Estate Sales License in July of 2022. Since then, I've been working as a REALTOR at Iron Valley Real Estate North Florida for over 4 years, and have also pursued a career in education. After substitute-teaching throughout Duval County for the '24-'25 school year, I made the move to full-time teaching the following school year, and am currently set (and excited) to continue with the same school as I move into my 2nd year as a teacher (3rd in the field of education). As I've opted to better balance my physical and mental health, I've used this summer to make forward steps in achieving my goals; I decided to go back to college, starting with an associate's degree, in pursuit of a master's in English; also, I've taken up Muay Thai and the routine strength training. Ultimately, I'd like to be the best educator I can. That's all I have to say about that.

    Nikhil Desai "Favorite Film" Scholarship
My all-time favorite film is probably Rambo: First Blood. This movie has always stuck out to me for its poetic and emotional depiction of Vietnam War veterans (in this case, the fictional character John James Rambo). The movie not only stars one of my favorite actors, Sylvester Stallone but also showcases the true struggles of War Veterans post-Vietnam. Many soldiers struggled with society being against them because many Americans believed the conflict in Vietnam was a conflict we never should have engaged in, and this lead to them mistreating soldiers who had already been through enough trauma by just being in the war. It also has some of the coolest and most iconic action sequences of all time, such as when Rambo is being hunted out in the woods/mountains by the government and police, and he single-handedly takes out every member of the opposition, including their manned helicopter. Easily the best action movie of all time, and it keeps things very real with its themes of war and violence.

Music is the driving force in my life to work hard. I aim to be a professional music producer and/or recording artist. I grew up listening to all sorts of genres that my Mom and Dad would play for my brothers and me. I watched my Dad play several different instruments, including guitar, pianos, and drums, and since then I've come to learn to play things like the euphonium and the bass guitar. My dad eventually showed me some production he's done on his songs, and, after studying more music genres such as Hip-Hop and Rap, I've decided I will pursue a bachelor's degree and career in Music Production.
Kap Slap "Find Your Sound" Music Grant
My dad and I would probably purchase a building and start creating a sort of multi-media room. This would be used for music and watching TV and movies. I'm planning to pursue a degree in music production at Full Sail University starting in February this coming year, which (paired with his self-taught production knowledge) would help us make quite possibly the best sound setup possible. Aside from that, I'd love to write a movie and compose the music for it as well. Cinema and Music are my two favorite pastimes and having the time, money, and capability to create my own movie and the music for it could be likened to a dream come true. Despite what I just said and explained, I'd probably buy a really big bed and invest in a great sound setup and just lie in bed, listening to music all day. That's the dream right there. To be able to relax all day and listen to whatever I want: Pantera, Slayer, Jimi Hendrix, Post Malone, N.W.A, Dr. Dre, AC/DC, J. Cole, Led Zeppelin, The Beatles -- that'd be fantastic. There's nothing I'd want more than to be able to laze around, doing nothing but listening to music all day.

In college, I plan to study a few different things. The first time I attend college, I plan to pursue a degree in Music Production. My family is very musically-inclined, so music has always been a big part of my life. Throughout High School, I've studied a lot of different music genres and devoted time to educating myself about music production and great music producers. I love music, and ultimately if I could be an artist on my own, I'd love to, but I mostly want to pursue Music Production because music is and has been a big part of my life for many years now. The second time I attend college (this is likely 10 years after my first attendance), I seek to pursue a degree in something to do with government or history. This is less for a career and more for my own enjoyment and education. I love government and the different philosophies and beliefs surrounding it, although I also love U.S. History. Another valid point is that I simply enjoy college work. It feels incredibly satisfying to learn something new and then complete the assignments based on it.
Future Leaders in Technology Scholarship - High School Award
Personally, I'm interested in studying Music Production. I'm working towards being able to use music programs such as Logic and Pro Tools. I eventually plan to self educate (and maybe take a class) to learn how to program and code on my own. Ultimately I want to learn to code for a personal reason that I don't mind sharing. Hopefully, not too far in the future, I plan on starting a business and don't want to have to rely on other people too much. If I know how to code, I'll be plenty capable of building a website or program all on my own. Entrepreneurship is my secondary goal here, and not having to hire anyone else for at least the first few months to a year would be a fantastic way to start in my mind. For now, though, my primary target is learning how to produce music on different online programs. I aim to later use this knowledge to create music software or hardware of my own (for instance, higher-quality speakers for a moderate price). Outside of personal entrepreneurship, I do have other plans. I'll begin by investing in Tesla, a company that makes fuel-efficient, electricity-powered cars. After doing that, I plan to begin my own company providing a separate service meant to be good for the environment. Unfortunately, I can't provide the idea here (I'm paranoid it'll be taken and used by someone else) but the idea is fantastic I think. It'll provide the general public with a better way to care for the environment while still being efficient. The product will attempt to aid in the battle against littering by making biodegradable resources more readily available.
    Justricia Scholarship for Education
I never plan to stop educating myself. As someone who aspires to be an entrepreneur, I read a lot of advice from many different sources about the value of self-education. Elon Musk, for instance, recommends not going to college at all but regularly reading books instead. He speaks frequently about how it's entirely possible to educate yourself for free via the internet and still achieve success (he speaks from experience). While this may be true, it's not entirely the future I intend to pursue. Starting in February, I shall attend Full Sail University to get a Bachelor's Degree in Music Production. During that time I also intend to educate myself on how the stock market works (how to properly invest and save) so as to maximize my efficiency ensuring the next step of my plan. After (hopefully) working for a few years as a producer, I intend to attend a different college or university in pursuit of a degree in something like Political Science or Economics or U.S. History (I haven't really decided yet). Unfortunately, while I was in middle school and during my Freshman year of high school, I didn't take school as seriously as I should have and my GPA suffered as a result. I've done my best the past two and a half years to rectify the mistakes I made and have gotten up to a 4.333 weighted GPA since then (from a 3). In my mind, nothing is more important than education. My maternal grandmother instilled this belief within me starting around the time I was 2 or 3 and she began teaching me to read and do basic math. Likewise, I plan to instill the same belief in my children and eventually my grandchildren. Without this guidance from my maternal grandmother and advice from my paternal grandmother about college, I always aim high. On the side, I also enjoy educating myself in other ways, such as on apps like Duolingo or Khan Academy. I'm ultimately looking to have 2 bachelor's degrees and hopefully become a successful entrepreneur and businessman through the aid of my education. Education will be the key to my success.

Honestly, the problem which interests me most with climate change has to be fracking. It's clearly an issue people wish to ignore because keeping the practice is a simple solution. Not everything is about the simple solution however and while people have jobs within the fossil fuels and fracking industries, they can replace their current jobs by beginning work as technicians at windmill farms or solar panel fields. While I alone cannot do much (unfortunately) as a 17-year-old high school senior, I can still remain vigilant and attempt to educate those around me on the dangers of fracking and the benefits of replacing it with renewable forms of energy. Every source unfortunately has its downsides. For windmill farms, it's the threat imposed upon birds and for solar panel fields, it's the wide range of space they take up. Despite these downsides, they do little to no harm to the environment while still being capable of powering buildings and such. I'm definitely most excited to see what Elon Musk may do. He's very intelligent and there's no doubt in my mind he'd be capable of coming up with an excellent solution, but until that happens I'm most excited for the use of solar energy. It seems like the most reliable and safe source of near-infinite energy.
    Amplify Continuous Learning Grant
Currently, I'm working on making the transition from a high school student with a part-time job to a college student with a part-time job (I'll be increasing my hours). Basically, I intend to fill up my schedule and maximize my productivity starting in February. I would use this grant to help me get through college which helps with my overall plan. My overall plan is to increase the number of sources of income I have as I get older, adding on stock investments, eventually a full-time job, and a commission-based job, and my ultimate goal is to become an entrepreneur, soon starting a business (or multiple) of my own. The grant would be used to help me teach myself how to properly invest and start a company, primarily educating myself on economics and management and the stock market. This grant of money would teach me how to make my own money more efficiently.
