Hello, my name is Gabrielle Walker, and I am a current high school junior! I can not count how many times people have told me that my hobbies— Latin, writing, and Medicine— is such an odd combination. I am an avid lover of Latin and the Classics. When first learning about Latin grammar, I became enamored by the accusative case, indirect objects, and infinitives— all of which are also aspects of English, too. My favorite authors are at a stalemate between Ovid and Eutropius. When I find myself feeling worthless, I remember my favorite Latin phrase- "Errare Humanum Est." (To err is to be human), and whenever I am in a slump, this phrase reminds me to dust the grime off my knees and carpe diem (seize the day).
