I am an active member of my community, dedicated to supporting and empowering youth. Through my involvement in the Kerala Association of Greater Washington (KAGW) Youth Program, I have taken on leadership roles to organize events that provide valuable resources to students. I have spearheaded college education seminars to guide students in their academic journey and hosted an Artificial Intelligence (AI) awareness program to introduce young minds to the growing influence of AI in various industries. These initiatives help students make informed decisions about their education and career paths. I am also a youth volunteer for the Nair Society of Greater Washington (NSGW), where I work to connect students with internship and mentorship opportunities. Recognizing the importance of early exposure to career fields, I organized meetings for high school students to explore internships in medicine, engineering, software development, finance, and research. I invited professionals from these industries to share insights about their careers, offering students guidance on their academic and professional aspirations. These initiatives have helped many students in my community gain access to valuable resources and build confidence in their future pursuits. Beyond education and career support, I am passionate about promoting the safety and well-being of youth, both online and offline. One of the major challenges youth face today is cyberbullying and excessive screen time, which can negatively impact mental health. I actively participate in awareness programs that educate young people about the responsible use of technology and social media. These programs focus on creating a healthy balance between online interactions and real-world connections while teaching students how to recognize and respond to cyberbullying. My goal is to foster a supportive environment where youth feel safe and empowered both in person and online. In addition to my community service, I have a strong commitment to my academic and professional growth. However, the financial burden of higher education presents a challenge for my family, the rising costs of tuition, books, and other expenses create financial strain. Receiving the Matthew E. Minor Memorial Scholarship would significantly ease this burden, allowing me to focus on my studies and continue my community work. This scholarship would not only help fund my education but also provide me with the opportunity to expand my initiatives and continue making a meaningful impact in the lives of young people. I believe that education should go beyond academics—it should inspire leadership, compassion, and service. Through my efforts, I strive to uplift and protect the youth in my community, ensuring they have access to educational resources, career guidance, and a safe digital environment.
