WinnerFrom a young age, ministry has been woven into the fabric of my life. I grew up watching my parents lead worship together, my father as a worship pastor and my mother serving beside him. Church wasn’t just a Sunday routine; it was a place where I saw lives transformed, hearts healed, and purpose awakened. Those early experiences planted a deep seed in me, a desire not just to attend church, but to be the church.
Over the years, that desire has grown into a calling. I’ve served in various areas of ministry, from worship to event planning to social media outreach. Most recently, I’ve stepped into a Kids Ministry internship where I get to disciple the next generation, encourage volunteers, and support our church staff in creating an environment where children feel seen, safe, and spiritually fed. This role has deepened my love for ministry and affirmed my desire to pursue it full-time.
I’m currently earning my degree in Communications and Mass Media with the specific goal of using it to strengthen ministry efforts. I believe that in today’s world, effective communication is not optional, it’s essential. Whether it’s through a social media post, a worship set, a Sunday school lesson, or a church-wide event, how we communicate the gospel shapes how people receive it. I want to be someone who helps communicate God’s love with clarity, creativity, and compassion. To not only share it, but to live it.
My desired outcome in ministry is simple yet profound: to help people feel known by God and connected to His Church. I want to be a bridge for those who feel overlooked, uncertain, or unworthy and remind them that their past does not define them, to help them see their value in Christ. Whether that’s through kids ministry, creative direction, or one-on-one discipleship, my heart is to reflect the heart of the God in everything I do.
My next step is to continue serving faithfully in my current internship while building a strong foundation through my college education. I’m also praying for future opportunities to step into ministry roles that allow me to lead, teach, and develop creative strategies that point people to Jesus. I don’t see ministry as a career, I see it as a lifelong calling. Whether I’m designing graphics for a sermon series, organizing a women’s event, or leading a child to Christ, I want to use every gift I’ve been given to advance the Kingdom of God.
Pursuing ministry isn’t about a title or a platform for me. It’s about obedience. It’s about saying “yes” to God over and over again, in every season and Lord knows I have walked some pretty heavy seasons. I know the road ahead won’t always be easy, but I believe that when we walk in our calling, God provides the grace, the guidance, and the growth. I’m ready to step into whatever He has next, with open hands and a willing heart.
