Bio

I am a 29-year-old mother who planned on returning to school about a year and a half ago and now I have completed almost two years of schooling. My current life goals are to complete my bachelor’s degree and finally feel fulfilled. I would like to use myself as an example and show my daughter it is possible to reach your life goals. My passion in life is to help others in need.

    Bold Great Books Scholarship
My favorite book is The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. It’s a great read. The book will make you think and will help you trust your instincts when making hard decisions in life.
    Bold Caring for Seniors Scholarship
One thing I do to improve the lives of elderly people in my community is to always be kind. Always offer help, be patient and be understanding. I was a care provider once for an elderly man. He was my grandfather and needed help after having a stroke. I was always patient and kind. I would offer my help when he struggled to walk or eat. He was a very wise man. He taught me so much. I will forever be grateful. He was later diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and I was by his side always. I would drive him to his doctor’s appointments and would cook for him. He passed April 2016. I will continue to be kind and patient to all elderly people as they remind me of my grandfather.
