Bio

My name is Tyrek Ross, and I am a hardworking and motivated student from Richmond, Virginia, with strong goals in entrepreneurship, business, and community leadership. I plan to build multiple streams of income through real estate, investments, social media, and business ownership. My long-term goals include flipping houses, developing modern and affordable communities, and growing businesses that create opportunities for underserved communities. I also aspire to become a successful content creator by sharing my entrepreneurial journey and inspiring others to pursue success and generational wealth. I am the leader of “NewRichmond,” a group of six young individuals focused on uplifting the city of Richmond and bringing positivity to our community. Under my leadership, we organized a Thanksgiving drive for the homeless to give back to those in need and encourage others to make a positive impact. I also run my own business, RossRemoval, which has taught me responsibility, discipline, communication, and problem-solving skills at a young age. In addition, I have built a strong social media presence with over 14,000 followers on Instagram and more than 36,000 followers on TikTok, allowing me to connect with and inspire thousands of people my age. “Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.” — Booker T. Washington. This quote stands out to me because it explains that true success is not only about money, fame, or status, but about the struggles and challenges a person overcomes to reach their goals. Many people only focus on the results of someone’s success without understanding the sacrifices, pain, discipline, and failures that happened behind the scenes. Booker T. Washington’s message shows that success should be measured by resilience and perseverance rather than just achievements alone. I believe this idea is important because every person faces obstacles in life, but what truly defines someone is their ability to continue pushing forward despite those hardships. I connect strongly to this quote because I have experienced challenges in my own life that forced me to mature and stay mentally strong at a young age. One of the biggest obstacles I faced was my parents’ divorce. Before that happened, my life felt stable and complete, so adjusting to such a major change affected me emotionally. Even though both of my parents remained active in my life, the separation changed my perspective and forced me to learn how to stay focused during difficult moments. Instead of allowing those emotions to negatively impact my future, I used the experience as motivation to work harder and remain disciplined. Despite everything I was dealing with personally, I continued maintaining all A’s in school because I understood that my future was bigger than my temporary struggles. The quote also relates to my journey as an entrepreneur and leader. I started my own business, RossRemoval, while balancing school and personal responsibilities. Running a business at a young age taught me communication, discipline, responsibility, and patience. Entrepreneurship is not easy because success does not happen overnight. There are moments of doubt, stress, and pressure, but overcoming those obstacles builds character and confidence. I also became the leader of “NewRichmond,” a group focused on uplifting the city of Richmond and spreading positivity throughout the community. Through our group, we organized a Thanksgiving drive for the homeless to help people in need and inspire others to make a positive impact. Experiences like these taught me that leadership is not only about personal success but also about helping others grow. In addition to entrepreneurship and leadership, I have built a strong social media platform with over 14,000 followers on Instagram and more than 36,000 followers on TikTok. Building an audience taught me consistency, confidence, and the importance of using influence positively. As Booker T. Washington explained, I believe success is about continuing to grow through challenges and remaining determined no matter the circumstances. Another reason this quote is meaningful to me is that it reminds me that everybody’s journey is different. Some people are born into easier situations, while others have to fight harder for opportunities and stability. Instead of comparing myself to others, I learned to focus on my own growth and progress. Every obstacle I have faced has pushed me to become more mature, disciplined, and focused on my future. Challenges taught me how to adapt, stay mentally strong, and continue believing in myself even during difficult times. In the future, I plan to continue pursuing entrepreneurship, real estate, investments, and community development so I can create opportunities not only for myself but also for underserved communities. I want to build businesses, develop modern communities, and inspire younger generations to dream bigger and work harder toward their goals. Overall, this quote’s underlying meaning is that obstacles are not meant to stop people from succeeding; they are meant to shape them into stronger individuals. True success comes from resilience, discipline, and perseverance through difficult situations, and that is a mindset I will continue carrying with me throughout my life.

One person I admire most is Shaquille O’Neal because he showed that success is about more than sports. What inspires me most about Shaq is how he used his basketball career as a foundation to build businesses, investments, and opportunities outside of the game. Even after becoming successful in the NBA, he continued working hard, learning, and expanding into entrepreneurship. Seeing the way he built multiple streams of income and became successful in business motivates me to pursue my own goals and think bigger about my future. Although I know I may never be as athletic as Shaq, his story inspires me because it shows me that there are many different ways to become successful. He turned his fame and opportunities into long-term businesses and investments, and that mindset connects with my own goals. I want to pursue entrepreneurship through real estate, business ownership, investments, and social media while also creating opportunities for others in my community. Watching Shaq’s journey made me realize that success comes from discipline, confidence, and taking advantage of opportunities when they come. Shaq’s entrepreneurial mindset inspired me to start building my future at a young age. I created my own business, RossRemoval, which taught me responsibility, communication, leadership, and hard work. Running a business while balancing school has not always been easy, but it has taught me the value of consistency and determination. I also became the leader of “NewRichmond,” a group focused on uplifting the city of Richmond and spreading positivity throughout the community. Through our group, we organized a Thanksgiving drive for the homeless to help people in need and inspire others to give back as well. In addition to entrepreneurship and leadership, I have built a strong social media platform with over 14,000 followers on Instagram and more than 36,000 followers on TikTok. Through my content, I try to motivate people, share my journey, and encourage others to chase success and stay focused on their goals. Shaq inspires me because he used his influence to build businesses, help others, and create opportunities beyond basketball, and I hope to do the same in my own way. Even during difficult moments in my personal life, including my parents’ divorce, I stayed focused academically and maintained all A’s in school. Experiences like that taught me resilience and maturity at a young age. In the future, I plan to continue pursuing higher education while building businesses, investing in communities, and creating opportunities for others. Shaq’s journey inspires me because he proved that success is not limited to one talent or one career path. With hard work, discipline, and vision, it is possible to build something much bigger than yourself.

My parents’ entrepreneurial journeys and my father’s military background have had a major impact on my educational and career goals. Growing up, I watched both of my parents build businesses while also working hard to provide for our family. My father served in the Army, and the discipline, leadership, and determination he gained through military service carried over into every part of his life. After serving, he became a personal trainer, owned his own gym, and also built a business through dog breeding. My mother also showed me entrepreneurship firsthand by running her own hair business. Seeing both of my parents create opportunities for themselves inspired me to develop the same mindset and work ethic. Watching my parents build businesses taught me that success comes from consistency, sacrifice, and discipline. I saw firsthand how much time and effort they put into their work, even during stressful moments. Their example inspired me to pursue entrepreneurship at a young age because I realized I did not have to limit myself to one path in life. I learned that with enough dedication and confidence, it is possible to create opportunities for yourself instead of waiting for them. Because of their influence, I started my own business, RossRemoval, which has taught me responsibility, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Owning a business while balancing school has not always been easy, but seeing my parents stay committed to their goals motivated me to stay disciplined and focused on mine. Their entrepreneurial mindset also inspired my future goals of building multiple streams of income through real estate, investments, social media, and business ownership. I want to create opportunities not only for myself but also for underserved communities and future generations. My father’s military service also impacted my educational journey by teaching me the importance of structure, accountability, and perseverance. Even during difficult moments in my personal life, including my parents’ divorce, I remained focused academically and continued maintaining all A’s in school. Watching both of my parents continue pushing through challenges taught me not to allow obstacles to stop me from succeeding. Instead, I learned how to stay resilient and use difficult situations as motivation to work harder toward my goals. Beyond academics and business, my parents’ influence has shaped the way I lead and carry myself. I became the leader of “NewRichmond,” a group focused on uplifting the city of Richmond and spreading positivity throughout the community. Through leadership, entrepreneurship, and community service, I want to inspire others the same way my parents inspired me. Their work ethic, discipline, and determination showed me that success is possible when you stay focused, believe in yourself, and continue working hard no matter the circumstances.

The person who has supported me the most throughout my educational journey is my mother. Even after my parents divorced, she continued to do everything possible to make sure I stayed focused, motivated, and on the right path. Before the divorce, my life felt perfect and stable, so when everything changed, it affected me deeply. It was one of the hardest experiences I had ever gone through because I had to adjust emotionally while still trying to stay focused on school, my goals, and my future. Even though both of my parents are still active in my life, living primarily with my mom showed me how strong and supportive she truly is. Watching my mother continue to push through challenges and keep our family together motivated me to become stronger myself. She always reminded me that difficult situations should not stop me from becoming successful. Her support shaped me into someone who works hard, stays determined, and continues chasing goals no matter what obstacles appear. During one of the most emotional periods of my life, she encouraged me to stay focused on my future instead of allowing pain or frustration to distract me. Even while dealing with the emotional impact of my parents’ divorce, I still maintained all A’s in school because I refused to let my circumstances define my future. That experience taught me discipline, resilience, and mental strength at a young age. My mother’s support also motivated me to become more independent and ambitious. I started focusing heavily on entrepreneurship, leadership, and personal growth. I created my business, RossRemoval, which taught me responsibility, communication, and hard work at a young age. I also became the leader of “NewRichmond,” a group of six young individuals focused on uplifting the city of Richmond and spreading positivity throughout the community. Through this group, we organized a Thanksgiving drive for the homeless to give back to people in need and inspire others to make a positive impact. My mother always encouraged me to use my talents and influence to help others instead of wasting my potential. In addition, I built a strong social media platform with over 14,000 followers on Instagram and more than 36,000 followers on TikTok. Through my content, I share my journey, motivate others, and encourage young people to stay focused on success and growth. Seeing how my mother stayed strong through difficult times inspired me to keep believing in myself and continue building toward my goals. I honor my mother by continuing to work hard, stay disciplined, and strive toward success in everything I do. My future goals include entrepreneurship, real estate, and community development because I want to create opportunities not only for myself but for others as well. Her support taught me that setbacks do not define a person; what matters most is how you respond and continue moving forward.

I embody selflessness by always looking for ways to help others and positively impact my community, even when I do not receive anything in return. Growing up in Richmond, Virginia, I saw how violence, negativity, and a lack of opportunities affected many people around me. Instead of ignoring those problems, I wanted to become someone who could inspire others and create change. I believe selflessness is about using your time, effort, and influence to help people who may need support, encouragement, or hope. One of the biggest examples of this was creating and leading “NewRichmond,” a group of six young individuals focused on uplifting the city and spreading positivity throughout our community. I wanted to bring people together and show that young people are capable of doing positive things instead of contributing to negativity. Under my leadership, our group organized a Thanksgiving drive for the homeless where we gave food and support to people in need. Seeing the appreciation from those individuals reminded me how important even small acts of kindness can be. That experience showed me that helping others does not always require money or recognition; sometimes, simply giving your time and effort can make a difference in someone’s life. Another way I embody selflessness is through the influence I have built on social media. I currently have over 14,000 followers on Instagram and more than 36,000 followers on TikTok. While many people use social media only for entertainment, I try to use my platform to motivate and inspire others. I share my entrepreneurial journey, my goals, and positive messages to encourage young people to stay focused, work hard, and believe in themselves. I understand that younger audiences are heavily influenced by what they see online, so I want to be a positive example and show that success is possible through consistency and determination. I also run my own business, RossRemoval, which has taught me responsibility, discipline, and leadership at a young age. Through my experiences, I learned that true success is not just about making money or reaching personal goals. It is also about helping others grow and creating opportunities for people around you. My future goals include entrepreneurship, real estate, and community development because I want to continue investing in underserved communities and creating opportunities for families who need them most. Selflessness has impacted my life by teaching me the importance of leadership, compassion, and service. Helping others has given me purpose and motivated me to continue making a positive impact in my community and beyond.

One action I have taken to help my community is creating and leading a group called “NewRichmond,” which consists of six young individuals focused on bringing positivity back to the city of Richmond. Growing up, I saw how violence, negativity, and a lack of opportunities affected many people around me, especially young people. Instead of contributing to those problems, I wanted to become someone who could inspire change and motivate others to think bigger about their future. I realized that even at a young age, I could use my leadership, creativity, and influence to make a positive impact on my community. As the leader of NewRichmond, I help organize ideas, motivate the group, and make sure we stay focused on our goal of uplifting the city. One of the biggest things we have done so far was organizing a Thanksgiving drive for the homeless. We came together to give back to people in need and show love to members of our community who are often overlooked. Seeing the appreciation from the people we helped made me realize how important even small acts of kindness can be. It also reminded me that leadership is not just about being successful yourself, but also about helping others and creating opportunities for people around you. Outside of community work, I also run my own business, RossRemoval, which has taught me responsibility, discipline, communication, and leadership. Starting a business at a young age showed me that hard work and consistency can create real opportunities. I have also built a strong social media platform with over 14,000 followers on Instagram and more than 36,000 followers on TikTok. Through my content, I try to motivate people, share my journey, and encourage young people to stay focused on success instead of negativity. I understand that social media can influence people in positive or negative ways, so I want to use my platform to inspire others to work hard, chase their goals, and believe in themselves. In the future, I plan to continue driving change by becoming an entrepreneur and investing back into communities that need support and opportunity. My goals include real estate, business ownership, and developing modern, affordable communities that create better opportunities for underserved families. I want to show people, especially young people from communities like mine, that success is possible no matter where you come from. I believe real change starts when people are willing to lead, inspire others, and invest in their community, and that is exactly what I plan to continue doing.

One personal achievement that I’m most proud of is becoming an entrepreneur and leader at a young age while balancing school, business, social media, and personal growth. A lot of people my age are still trying to figure out what they want to do, but I decided early that I wanted to build something for myself and create a better future. Starting my business, RossRemoval, taught me responsibility, discipline, communication, and how important hard work really is. Running a business is not easy, especially while still being a student, but it showed me that if I stay consistent and focused, I can turn my ideas into reality. It also helped me become more independent and confident in myself because I learned how to handle challenges, work with people, and keep pushing even when things get difficult. Another achievement I’m proud of is becoming the leader of “NewRichmond,” a group of six young individuals focused on bringing positivity back to the city of Richmond. Growing up, I’ve seen how violence and negativity can affect young people and entire communities. A lot of people only focus on the bad things happening, but my group and I want to show that our generation is capable of doing positive things too. Under my leadership, we organized a Thanksgiving drive for the homeless where we gave back to people in need and tried to make a real impact in our community. Seeing people appreciate what we did made me realize how important leadership and community service really are. That experience motivated me even more to continue helping others and creating opportunities for people around me. I’m also proud of the social media platform I’ve built through consistency and creativity. Right now, I have over 14,000 followers on Instagram and more than 36,000 followers on TikTok. For me, social media is bigger than just numbers. It’s a way to inspire people, share my journey, and show others that success is possible no matter where you come from. Building a platform taught me how to connect with people, stay creative, and remain confident even when dealing with criticism or pressure online. It also helped me realize that I can use my influence for positive things and motivate other young people to chase their goals instead of settling for less. These achievements have impacted my life by helping me become more mature, focused, and determined about my future. They showed me that success comes from consistency, leadership, and believing in yourself even when things are difficult. My experiences inspired my future goals of entrepreneurship, real estate, investing, and community development because I want to continue building businesses, creating opportunities, and making a positive impact on people around me.
