Hi, I’m Tyler! I’m a Senior in the College of Engineering at Northeastern University, pursuing a degree in Environmental Engineering. Over the course of my academic career, I’ve actively sought opportunities to expand my knowledge and apply it to real-world environmental challenges. Recently, I had the privilege of participating in two Dialogues of Civilizations programs—one in Peru and the other in Italy. In Italy, I had the opportunity to collaborate with scholars and students from diverse backgrounds, exploring how local cultures approach global environmental issues and sustainable development which strengthened my commitment to sustainability. In addition to these international experiences, I completed a co-op at Environmental Partners, a consulting firm specializing in environmental engineering. During my time there, I worked on projects related to water quality management, green infrastructure, and sustainable development practices. I gained valuable hands-on experience in the field, applying my academic knowledge to real-world environmental issues and collaborating with a team of professionals to find innovative solutions. I’ve also volunteered with the Northwest Connecticut Land Conservancy, maintaining some of Litchfield County’s most beautiful trails, an experience that deepened my appreciation for preserving natural landscapes. I believe in constantly challenging myself, both as a student and as a leader, to make meaningful contributions to a more sustainable and environmentally-conscious world. Thanks for taking the time to learn a little about me!
