Growing up in Washington, D.C., I saw firsthand the issues that marginalized populations confront, such as restricted access to mental health resources and educational opportunities. These experiences motivated me to take action and develop unique solutions that directly assist marginalized communities. I've started and participated in multiple projects focused on overcoming these barriers, leveraging my expertise in technology, activism, and cooperation to make a real difference. Working with the Youth Justice Campaign was one of my most effective endeavors. I collaborated with a student team to develop an online student mental health center that offers relaxing resources as well as expert aid. Recognizing the rising incidence of stress, anxiety, and depression among students in my town, we set out to address a key gap. Our online platform provided students with guided meditation options, direct links to mental health practitioners, and articles to assist them in identifying and managing their mental health needs. This project provided students with a secure area to prioritize their well-being while simultaneously emphasizing the relevance of mental health in academic success and personal growth. In addition to this research, I spoke before the DC Council Committee of the Whole during the DC Public Schools Budget Oversight Hearing. I lobbied for more funding for internships and mental health services for students throughout the city. This experience enabled me to raise the voices of marginalized students, who are sometimes overlooked in policy conversations. My statement contributed to an ongoing discussion on how to provide equitable opportunities for students in underfunded schools, particularly in low-income communities. During my internship at Jah Kente International, I launched another project on my initiative. I worked on digital media and web design initiatives that emphasized the voices and talents of marginalized artists. By working with my team to construct user-friendly websites and blogs, we made it easier for these artists to share their work with the world. My efforts aided in amplifying the tales of those whose voices would otherwise be eclipsed, building a stronger feeling of representation and inclusion in the arts community. Beyond technology, my collaboration with Virginia Tech's Think-a-Bit Labs has allowed me to address educational disparities. As an intern, I taught youngsters in marginalized neighborhoods about physical computing and motherboards, inspiring them to pursue careers in STEM. By making complicated subjects relevant and entertaining, I want to remove the hurdles that typically inhibit marginalized groups from pursuing STEM careers. Each of these endeavors was motivated by my confidence in the ability of innovation to effect substantial change. As someone who grew up battling obstacles such as dyslexia and migrating between impoverished schools, I appreciate the significance of creating chances where none appear to exist. My past has taught me resilience and ingrained in me a passion to help people reach their full potential, regardless of the structural challenges they may face. As I progress in life, I hope to continue bridging the gap between technology and social justice. Whether through real estate investing to offer affordable housing, teaching technical skills, or pushing for educational justice, I am dedicated to leveraging my expertise to help underprivileged areas. This scholarship would be a critical step toward realizing my dream of becoming a changemaker with a lasting impact.
      Ojeda Multi-County Youth Scholarship
Growing up in Washington, D.C., I saw firsthand the difficulties of the inner city. My community was alive with culture and tenacity, but it also brought challenges that drove my resolve to succeed. Raised by a single mother who worked diligently to support our family, I learned the value of resilience and hard work from a young age. My educational trajectory was everything but straightforward. I started in an underprivileged school with few resources and opportunities that seemed out of reach. I worked hard to improve academically, and my efforts earned me a spot at a charter school. My grades and drive helped me get into a secondary school that provided additional options for improvement. Eventually, I decided to transfer to another high school that better matched my interests and objectives. Each transfer showed me the value of adaptability and the potential of education to change lives. Overcoming dyslexia was one of the most difficult hurdles I faced during this journey. As a child, I struggled with reading and writing and frequently felt left behind in class. Words on the page felt like puzzles that I couldn't solve, but I refused to let my learning differences hold me back. With hard work, extra study hours, and inventive learning tactics, I gradually overcame the challenges that dyslexia brought. This experience taught me about resilience, the worth of perseverance, and the significance of advocating for myself. Living in an inner-city area has its own set of issues. Systemic disparities and distractions in my community made it difficult for me to keep focused on my objectives. Boxing provided me with discipline and structure, and it was a life-changing experience. Training and competing in the ring taught me the importance of devotion, focus, and resilience. Boxing not only kept me grounded, but it also gave me the mental ability to face problems both inside and outside of the classroom. Beyond personal development, I've been dedicated to giving back to my community. As a member of the Youth Justice Campaign, I collaborated with other students to establish an online mental health resource center and lobbied for additional funding for internships and student mental health support. Speaking before the DC Council was a watershed experience for me because it demonstrated that my voice could effect genuine change and reinforced my dedication to assisting others. Every stage of my journey has equipped me for the future. Overcoming dyslexia taught me the value of perseverance, navigating impoverished schools demonstrated the significance of educational justice, and speaking for my peers encouraged me to be a voice for good change. These events have shaped me into a person who values resilience, ambition, and the capacity to see problems as opportunities. The Ojeda Multi-County Youth Scholarship would assist reduce the financial barriers to higher education, allowing me to focus solely on my academics and my aim of creating opportunities for others. I am motivated to use my experiences and knowledge to inspire and enhance my community, exemplifying the resilience that this award aims to recognize.
      Theresa Lord Future Leader Scholarship
I'm Trevon Smallwood, a student who enjoys technology, business, and assisting others in their success. I hope to pursue degrees in Management Information Systems, as well as Business with an emphasis on data analysis, to advance my career in these fields. My ultimate objective is to be a successful entrepreneur who bridges the gap between technology and real-world difficulties. I've always been interested in how technology affects the world and how businesses react to change. My passion expanded when I enrolled in McKinley Technology High School's IT program, where I learned about the technical and creative components of problem resolution. This event influenced my educational ambitions, motivating me to investigate how technology and business might collaborate to develop innovative solutions. One of the most difficult challenges I've encountered was overcoming a lack of intellectual challenge and direction in my early high school years. I initially attended a school that did not suit my interests. The curriculum was primarily media-focused, but I was more interested in technology and innovation. Furthermore, I felt limited by the school's location, which did not provide as many internship chances. These considerations made it evident that I needed a change to advance intellectually and personally. The decision to change schools was not easy. I had to let go of friendships and adjust to a new environment with higher demands. At McKinley Technology High School, I was surrounded by peers and teachers who encouraged me to improve. I got involved in programs that helped me improve my abilities, such as the IT pathway, internships, and advocacy positions. For example, I interned with Jah Kente International, where I worked on digital media and web design projects, and I was a Think-a-Bit intern at Virginia Tech, where I developed physical computing projects and taught younger students. These experiences taught me how to work well with others, manage my time effectively, and move outside of my comfort zone to tackle issues front-on. This event taught me the value of aligning my environment with my aspirations. By fighting for my development and making difficult decisions, I realized that venturing into uncharted areas frequently results in new chances. I also learned that resilience and adaptability are essential for success. Instead of settling for less, I took the initiative, gaining access to tools and experiences that prepared me for future problems. In the future, I intend to apply everything I've learned in education and at work. I want to participate in initiatives that will help me improve intellectually and socially, such as honors programs, internships, and community service. By doing so, I intend to make a meaningful contribution to the world of technology and society, as well as inspire others to pursue their aspirations in the face of hurdles.

Mental health treatment is a fundamental right, yet many people cannot access it owing to financial and societal restrictions. As someone who has seen firsthand the significant impact of mental health issues in underprivileged areas, I am dedicated to making mental health care more accessible and affordable, particularly for BIPOC youth. My contribution would be to address these hurdles via technology, advocacy, and community-based ways. As a student in an IT program, my goal is to create an innovative mental health platform. This platform would offer free or low-cost access to teletherapy, mindfulness materials, and culturally competent counselors. We can bridge the gap for folks in places with limited mental health resources while also lowering the price of typical in-person therapy. Drawing on my advocacy experience with the Youth Justice Campaign, where I testified for improved funding for student mental health resources, I will continue to raise the voices of individuals affected by mental health. I intend to work with lawmakers to win funds for mental health programs in schools. In addition, I will start awareness programs customized to BIPOC communities to de-stigmatize mental illness and urge people to seek help. I would want to form collaborations with non-profits and community organizations to offer support groups. These groups would teach coping techniques like stress management and emotional control. I hope to create a society in which mental health care is available to all, regardless of background. We can establish a long-term paradigm that enables people to prioritize their mental health.

      Black Leaders Scholarship
"Not everything that is faced can be changed, but nothing can be changed until it is faced." These lines by James Baldwin capture the spirit of leadership and resilience that still inspires me. Reflecting on the enormous impact of Black leaders throughout history, I am drawn to Shirley Chisholm's incredible legacy—a trailblazer whose courage, ambition, and commitment to justice have left an everlasting impression on both history and my own goals. Shirley Chisholm, the first Black woman elected to the United States Congress and the first woman to seek the Democratic presidential nomination, exemplified revolutionary leadership. In 1968, when racial and gender obstacles loomed large, Chisholm dared to confront the status quo, campaigning under the bold slogan "Unbought and Unbossed." Her activism for underrepresented populations, as well as her devotion to equity in education, labor rights, and healthcare, underlined her notion that leadership entails creating opportunity for those whose voices are frequently ignored. For me, Chisholm's story exemplifies the force of perseverance and the daring to imagine a better tomorrow. Shirley Chisholm's capacity to lead with sincerity and purpose in the midst of adversity is what inspires me the most. As a young Black student navigating a challenging world, I frequently draw inspiration from her example. Chisholm did more than just agitate for change; she embodied it. Her tenacity reminds me that leadership is not reserved for those with access to privilege, but is available to everyone prepared to rise above their circumstances and stand steadfast in their beliefs. Her tale inspires me to approach my challenges with the same unwavering commitment. In today's world, where divisive language and societal inequities continue to impede progress, the traits that marked Chisholm's leadership are more important than ever. Leaders must promote diversity, empathy, and the willingness to confront systematic inequities. Chisholm's legacy serves as a model for the type of leader I want to be—one who not only speaks out but also takes action to effect real change. Her path shows us that effective leadership requires both a vision for the future and the capacity to persuade others to believe in it. Aside from her political accomplishments, Shirley Chisholm's unwavering support for education strikes a deep chord with me. She realized that education is the foundation of opportunity, which parallels my own goals. As a student, I am determined to use my education to empower both myself and others. Chisholm's emphasis on equality reminds me that my efforts in the classroom are not just for personal growth, but also to improve my community and eliminate the systemic barriers that still exist. Shirley Chisholm's legacy has taught me valuable things as I progress in life. Her leadership has taught me that desire is not selfish, that resilience is essential, and that the struggle for justice requires a team effort. Her example motivates me to lead with integrity and utilize my voice to push for change, no matter how difficult the circumstances may appear. In celebrating Shirley Chisholm, I am recognizing all Black leaders who have influenced history through their bravery and vision. Their achievements are more than just chapters in Black history; they are beacons of hope, inspiring future generations to build a more just and equitable society. Like Chisholm, I strive to be "unbought and unbossed," standing firm in my values and striving to leave a lasting impression on those who follow.

      Eco-Warrior Scholarship
As a high school senior ready to enter college, I have adopted sustainability as a guiding principle in my life. Living sustainably is more than a trend; it is a responsibility that I take seriously given the devastating effects of climate change on our planet. Small, focused efforts in our daily lives can lead to great transformation. With this perspective, I've resolved to reduce my carbon impact and advocate for a more sustainable future. One of my key sustainable habits is meal planning, with a concentration on plant-based meals. I make a concerted effort to reduce food wastage by planning my meals weekly and making the best use of every ingredient. I also make a fruit drink every day, utilizing fresh, seasonal vegetables to cut back on premade beverages. These choices not only benefit my health but also reduce the environmental impact of meat production and plastic waste. In addition, I prioritize conserving energy and water at home. Simple habits, such as unplugging electronics when not in use, utilizing energy-efficient LED bulbs, and limiting my shower duration, have become second nature to me. I also encourage my family to follow similar routines, which increases the impact of these simple, regular activities. Another area where I actively work to mitigate my environmental impact is transportation. I take public transportation wherever possible and, for shorter distances, walk or bike instead of driving. This allows me to reduce my carbon footprint while simultaneously encouraging an active lifestyle. Minimizing our carbon footprint is critical because climate change affects all aspects of our lives, from the food we consume to the air we breathe. Rising temperatures, severe weather events, and biodiversity loss serve as clear reminders that we cannot ignore. Reducing our carbon footprint is more than just reducing the immediate effects; it is also about conserving the earth for future generations. As someone who intends to study technology and business, I wish to merge these professions to create innovative solutions that promote sustainable behaviors on a bigger scale. To summarize, living sustainably is a journey that demands commitment and intentionality. The decisions I make in my everyday life—meal planning, preserving resources, and lowering emissions may appear insignificant, but they demonstrate a dedication to a cause larger than me. I believe that by living sustainably and encouraging others to do the same, we can spark a chain reaction of positive change. Reducing our carbon footprint is a shared responsibility, one that I am delighted to support.
      Learner Calculus Scholarship
Often considered one of the most difficult areas of mathematics, calculus is the foundation for many advances in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Calculus, in spite of its complexity, is extremely useful because it can quantify each relationship and has its own way of describing each form of change in ways that algebra or simple arithmetic cannot. For creativity and problem-solving in STEM domains, it is therefore essential. The use of calculus to comprehend the world around us is among its most profound applications. Calculus enables us to explain motion, energy, and waves in physics—concepts that are essential for disciplines like mechanical design and aerospace engineering. Calculus serves as the foundation for machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms in computer science, opening the door for ground-breaking innovations that transform contemporary life. Calculus is also used in disciplines like biology and medicine to predict growth patterns, examine population dynamics, and even comprehend how complex systems like the human body behave. In addition, calculus improves analytical and critical thinking abilities, which are essential for success in STEM fields. It aids in helping students identify solutions outside the box and have them tackle issues systematically, dividing them into smaller, more manageable components, and coming up with original solutions. These abilities and skills go beyond the classroom. As they have students be able to aim for immediate useful jobs, that encourage them to actively use their creativity, adaptability, and overall problem-solving skills in an environment that is quickly changing. As someone who wants to pursue a career in STEM, I am aware of how transformative mathematics can be. As it provides many opportunities inside and out of my academic career. By becoming proficient in it, I'm not only giving myself a flexible toolkit but also adopting a mindset that encourages tenacity and intellectual curiosity. Black Excellence Scholarship
I think my greatest quality is my ability to thrive with an indomitable will. I have had to overcome obstacles throughout my life that called for resiliency and willpower, and I have always risen to the occasion. I am tenacious and determined because of my upbringing, which was characterized by overcoming emotional and intellectual challenges as well as standing up for myself in difficult situations. My academic career serves as an illustration of my unwavering willpower. I didn't allow my difficulties to limit my potential, even though I first struggled in writing and math. I looked for resources, spent endless hours studying, and sought assistance when I needed it. In addition to enhancing my academic achievement, this dedication to development and perseverance has strengthened my beliefs. My efforts as an Advocate for the Youth Justice Campaign also demonstrate my tenacity in seeking significant change. It took bravery, preparation, and faith in my power to change things to testify before the DC Council on more funding for internships and mental health support. Raising my voice on these important problems demonstrated my determination to make a difference, even if it required stepping outside of my comfort zone. Additionally, boxing has helped me develop my perseverance. It takes both mental and physical preparation to get ready for battles and competitions. Every exercise, failure, and tired moment has taught me to push above my boundaries and cultivate a persistent mindset. I apply this discipline to my daily life by viewing obstacles as opportunities for growth and self-improvement. Being a person with an unbreakable will has taught me that perseverance is not just about overcoming obstacles but also about keeping a positive outlook and aiming for greatness despite the challenges. I tackle every challenge with the will to succeed, whether it be academic, personal, or professional objectives, understanding that conquering hardship frequently leads to growth. Prioritizing and managing my time are the skills I need to work on the most. Despite my perseverance and diligence, I occasionally feel overburdened by conflicting obligations. The necessity of time management, an area where I see a lot of opportunity for improvement, has been brought to light by juggling coursework, internships, and extracurricular activities. I intend to use organized time management strategies and resources to get better. Making a thorough weekly schedule that allocates defined time slots for things like working, studying, and unwinding will be my first step. I will be better able to stay organized and keep track of deadlines if I use digital tools like Google Calendar and task management applications like Notion. The Eisenhower Matrix, which groups tasks according to priority and urgency, is another tool I try to use to prioritize my duties. While making sure that less important duties don't take up needless time, this strategy will assist me in concentrating on high-priority chores. For example, I will schedule lower-priority work during downtime and set aside unbroken time for assignments or projects with impending deadlines. Setting specific, attainable goals for each day and reviewing my progress every evening are two other tactics. I'll hone my strategy and create habits that increase productivity by assessing what worked and what needs improvement. To make sure my priorities line up with my overarching objectives, for instance, I intend to set aside at least 20 minutes each night to look over my activities and tasks for the next day. Last but not least, I'll keep myself responsible by asking peers or mentors for help and comments on how I'm doing. This accountability will encourage me to maintain consistency and get better, whether it is through check-ins with an instructor or talking about my tactics with a reliable buddy. I will turn my time management abilities into a strength by following these measures, which will allow me to stay balanced and give my best effort in all aspects of my life.

My interest in fusing technology and business techniques to produce creative solutions was piqued by these encounters. My plans for the future reflect my love for both professional and personal growth. I plan to pursue a second degree in Management Information Systems or Cybersecurity after receiving my business degree to integrate it with my technological expertise. To help myself financially and acquire worthwhile life experiences, I also intend to enlist in the National Guard. My long-term goal is to pursue a career in real estate investing, specializing in home renovation and the development of affordable housing options. I'm thinking of going to trade school to study plumbing, carpentry, and other skills required for property development to do this. I intend to reduce renovation expenses while maintaining high standards of quality by adopting this hands-on approach. In addition to achieving financial success, I'm dedicated to improving my neighborhood. I have learned the value of helping marginalized communities and the strength of advocacy from my experiences as an Advocate for the Youth Justice Campaign, where I testified before the DC Council for more money for internships and mental health resources. I want to help young people reach their full potential by using my platform and abilities to mentor them, especially those who are struggling to succeed. The difficulties I encountered as a child influenced my outlook and goals. They have inspired me to pursue a mission that goes beyond my success but also to leave a legacy of opportunity and empowerment for others. The first step in achieving this goal is majoring in business, and I am eager for the chances that lie ahead to make my dreams come true.

Because it completely fits with my interests and long-term objectives, I decided to pursue a degree in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Business with an emphasis on data analysis and cybersecurity. I have always had a strong interest in technology and business, and I have a better grasp of how these domains interact because of my high school experiences, internships, and extracurricular activities. This insight strengthened my resolve to pursue a profession that combines business and technology to tackle challenging issues and produce significant results. My work path has been significantly shaped by my time at McKinley Technology High School. I've acquired useful technical skills and been exposed to the potential and challenges in the tech business as a student in the IT program. I have also taken part in several internships, including Think-a-Bit at Virginia Tech, where I worked on projects involving actual computers and motherboards, and Jah Kente International, where I helped with projects involving web design and digital media. I've learned from these experiences how important it is to use technology wisely and creatively, which has motivated me to continue my studies in this area. I will have a thorough understanding of how to use technology to preserve data, improve decision-making, and improve corporate processes if I have a degree in MIS. I have a strong interest in cybersecurity in particular since it is essential to defending people and companies against dangers in the current digital era. I will be able to find insights that spur success and creativity by combining this with data analysis, which will make me an invaluable asset to any company. My life will be significantly impacted by this degree since it will provide me with the abilities and information I need to realize my goals. It will set me up for a job that offers stability and room for advancement, and that is both financially and personally satisfying. I also intend to follow my business objectives, such as investing in real estate and remodeling homes, using the financial independence this work offers. In addition to establishing a prosperous career, my goal is to leave a lasting legacy by supporting and mentoring young business and technology professionals in my community. In the end, picking this line of work is about more than just achieving personal achievement. It's about changing the world for the better and making a contribution to an area that determines the future. With a MIS degree and an emphasis on data analysis and cybersecurity, I will be able to promote innovation, close the gap between business and technology, and encourage others to take advantage of the opportunities this exciting industry presents. This serves as the cornerstone of the life I want for myself—a life filled with accomplishment, purpose, and contribution.

My interest in technology and business derives from a lifetime curiosity about the transformational power of innovation. I chose a job in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Business Technology because they combine creativity, problem-solving, and real-world effects. Growing up, I was fascinated by the ways technology can expedite operations, connect people, and solve complex issues. This curiosity led me to study information technology at McKinley Technology High School, where I gained knowledge and skills via hands-on projects, internships, and community service. One of my main goals is to bridge the gap between technology and business. I envisage developing systems and technologies that will help organizations run more efficiently while simultaneously empowering individuals. My goal goes beyond merely implementing technical solutions; I want to make sure that these innovations are accessible and equitable, tackling societal issues like education disparities, housing inequity, and resource allocation. By combining data analysis, cybersecurity, and business strategy, I hope to create solutions that promote both economic and social advancement. My passion and objectives have been greatly impacted by my personal experiences. I have seen directly how a lack of resources and support can limit potential because I come from a history of adversity. These difficulties have strengthened my resolve to design mechanisms that help people get over obstacles and succeed. As an illustration of how technology may be used to solve pressing problems, I worked with a team to develop an online mental health center for students during my internship with the Youth Justice Campaign. My belief that technology can be an effective instrument for bringing about significant change was strengthened by this encounter. I've also decided to look into real estate investing as a means of having a noticeable influence on local communities. My objective is to restore and construct inexpensive homes that offer families secure and long-lasting environments. I hope to personally contribute to these projects by pursuing trade skills in addition to my degrees, fusing my technical and practical knowledge to save expenses and boost productivity. In the end, I am motivated by a desire to create a lasting legacy in which business and technology are utilized as instruments for equality and empowerment. In order to demonstrate my dedication to lifelong learning and development, I intend to obtain several degrees, certifications, and practical experience in both the corporate and charity sectors. I will be guided in developing creative, inclusive solutions that spur advancement and improve communities by my own resiliency and my desire to tackle real-world issues.

Simone Biles is one of my favorite Team USA athletes. The first time I saw her participate in the Olympics was nine in 2016, I was astonished. I had never seen someone ever attempt her jaw-dropping flips and spins, but her story was the part that connected me to her. To this day her story of perseverance and tenacity still draws me close. Simone Biles' path is inspiring not only because she is an anomaly in the athletic community but also because of the obstacles she has faced to get where she is. Growing up in foster care and eventually adopted by her grandparents, she endured obstacles that could have derailed her goals. Nonetheless, she chose to work hard and stay committed to her passion. In my opinion, her determination is what defines her as a great champion. Her ability to remain grounded, despite being regarded as one of the greatest gymnasts of all time, demonstrates that success is more than medals, it is about character. Another reason I love Simone Biles is her fearlessness in standing up for herself and others. She has also become a role model outside of sports, campaigning for mental health and highlighting the value of self-care. When she withdrew from numerous events, owing to mental health issues, she conveyed a strong message to both athletes and non-athletes: it's all right to prioritize yourself. In a society that values pushing through pain, her decision served as a reminder that strength is more than just physical. What makes cheering for Biles even more enjoyable is seeing her continue to push the boundaries of her sport. She doesn't just compete; she innovates. Some of the moves she executes are so difficult that they have been named for her, while others are so advanced that few other gymnasts attempt them. Witnessing her compete is witnessing history unfold. She is doing more than just competing; she is redefining what is achievable in gymnastics. Simone Biles is one of the best members of Team USA. She serves as a reminder that success is earned not only through skill but also through tenacity, grit, and the willingness to forge your path. Every time I see her step onto the mat, I know I'm watching someone more than just an athlete; she is an inspiration. Whether it's her unrivaled talent, her resilience in the face of adversity, or her activism for mental health, Simone Biles is still someone I proudly support. She embodies the spirit of Team USA and serves as a reminder that great champions emerge not only on the playing field but also in life.

My interest in business began when I helped my sister manage a small pop-up shop. From displaying products to engaging with consumers, I saw firsthand the difficulties of entrepreneurship. This early encounter piqued my curiosity to learn how firms run, grow, and adapt to change. Since then, my curiosity regarding the business world has grown. Throughout high school, I became increasingly interested in how corporations may serve as vehicles for social change. The idea that a well-run company can be lucrative while simultaneously contributing to society's demands amazes me. I want to get a degree in business and technology. My goal is to aid businesses in striking a balance between profit and purpose. My desire to provide opportunities for others is a personal motivator for me to pursue this career. Growing up in a diverse environment, I saw relatives and friends struggle financially, limiting their ability to pursue school and jobs. These difficulties have strengthened my perseverance to establish businesses that create long-term jobs and benefit people. In college, I intend to combine my Business sense with my enthusiasm for social change and technology. I'm particularly thrilled about the economics, finance, and social innovation courses, which will provide me with the tools required to understand market dynamics and use technology to predict it. I'm also looking forward to internships and extracurricular activities that will expose me to real-world business issues and technical solutions. Eventually, I hope to use my business knowledge to start or work for firms that value profitability and social responsibility. My long-term goal is to develop a company model that others may replicate, demonstrating that entrepreneurship and business aren't mutually exclusive. This path is more than a career decision; it is a calling. My experiences have shaped me into someone who believes in the power of business and technology to effect positive change, and I am determined to make that vision a reality.

At an early age, I watched my mother search for jobs and do her best to make ends meet. Despite our circumstances, her resilience taught me the importance of hard work and determination. Growing up in a single-parent, low-income environment pushed me to develop resilience and problem-solving abilities considerably faster. I learned to be flexible with my resources, manage an excellent work-life balance, and remain focused on my future. These events have encouraged me to give back through advocacy. I've experienced firsthand how difficult and overwhelming life can be for students, and I want to make sure others don't have to face the same difficulties alone. I intend to further my outreach when attending High Education by assisting them in overcoming these challenges, I hope to break the cycle and develop a voice for others. I am now working toward my goals through many internships that work on professionalism on a global scale and participating in my communities. These efforts are aiding me in developing the necessary skills and network to have a greater effect. I am driven to use my life experiences to inspire individuals and bring about positive change.
