Education is extremely important to have if you want to succeed in today's world. Knowledge is the most powerful asset and skill us humans have and it opens the door for a lot of opportunities for ourselves. Learning is fun and feeding our brain on a daily basis is great to keep us engaged with what is going on. I feel as if every one needs school. Education keeps humans together and if we learn how to work together everything will be ok. Sometimes we wall into this idea that we get carried away and we use knowledge to destroy one another instead of growing and building. Education is not used to make another feel bad because your more superior than your peer but rather it is used to learn and put it in to good use. Education has changed my life for the better in many different ways. To be honest growing up I wasn't a school type of guy, I didn't have any desire or determination to learn. Also because I was lazy, I was always smart but I was lazy and didn't apply myself what so ever. One time I had a 3rd grade teacher who always picked on me. Her name was Ms. Fowles she always had a agenda against because I was the class clown. What can I say I'm being honest I was the class clown but I young and just being a kid and having fun. But long story short I had trouble reading growing up and couldn't pronounce words that good and she knew that before the school year started and decided to make me read out loud. I was so embarrassed and humiliated because my peers were laughing at me and fun of me for months. I will never forget that moment it was big lesson for me going forward. May I say before that situation I wasn't tutored or anything before my mom sent me to ivy league where I got way better with my academics and the rest is history. As I gotten older school has become more important to me and I started to get engaged because I knew for a fact my future was on the line. To my knowledge I had everything to loose and I didn't want to risk that. A lot of my family members saw the potential in me which pushed me to even go harder in school, the progress started to show. I didn't care what people who doubted had to say about my mindset but rather I just wanted to prove my believers right that I am capable of passing in school. All I needed all along in my journey throughout school was someone who believed in me. That right there was all the motivation and confidence I needed to keep going forward with school. So, I say education for me taught me a tremendous amount of things and has brought so much joy in my life and made me realize I can do anything I set my mind too. "Joy" is the world that comes to mind when I think of the word education, that what kind of value it brought to me and my life and everyone around. Everyone needs to learn and be educated because the most dangerous person in this world is a educated one.

Who else can I say someone I admire other than Martin Luther King Jr? He is the best the way he paved for all us to become who we are today. Well I can't speak for anyone else but as it goes for me I say Martin Luther King Jr. MLK was a civil rights leader during the civil rights here in the United States Of America and gave citizens hope when times were tough back then. He was so driven and determined to make life easier not only for black folks but for all races to come together and get along. He is most famous for his I have a dream speech where he stated that " I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed, We hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal." That famous quote really stood out to me and made me realize that he truly want what's best for this nation. Martin Luther King Jr. stood for something , and what he stood for was justice , equality and Peace. He ultimate goal during his run was to end segregation there in the United States of America. Not only do I admire MLK, but he was my hero, even though I wasn't alive to witness his heroics and hear his words but I feel his energy. Martin Luther King will forever be in my heart and his message will continue to live on. He was powerful and I love him for what he did for this country and for me.

What I plan on accomplishing in my continued education is getting that bachelor's degree and becoming a business man. After graduation I have so many plans and goals that I want to accomplish but the number one goal is getting that degree, getting what I came to Texas for making my friends and family proud.I also want to become a real estate investor flipping homes, wholesaling, repairing homes and owning rental properties. That is my ultimate goal after getting my degree. Being financially free, having multiple sources of income, passive income and being dependent on my self if the ultimate blessing that I want to receive. This is something I've been wanting to do for a couple of years now and it's all starting to become true. I just have to work hard stay focused and let the rest take care of itself. College really explored my mind into a lot of different things and ideas. It so many opportunities out here for everyone and it's up to us if we want to make it happen. It's right there in front of us, why not go get it? I'm really serious about my future and want what I have coming to me. I want it all. Also I want to accomplish having that 3.5 GPA or higher in my time here at Texas Southern University. Not only do I want to graduate but I want to be on the Deans list. I've never been on the Deans list here on my time in college. I've always regretted it, I feel liked I ward hard but if I would've worked a little harder then the outcome would have been a little more different. Things would have turned out differently for me personally if I would have been a little more focused, that's just my opinion not only in school but in sports as well. Reality hits soon as you graduate college and now you're grown handling responsibility of the real world. My experience of being a foster child help shape these goals somewhat because I always felt like I had a chip on my shoulders. Being a foster child is extremely confusing to some kids around the world because they felt like they aren't wanted and just want answers. For me I never used that as an excuse, everything happens for a reason. I always felt I was blessed for me to put in that situation and me being a foster child growing up always showed me how blessed I am that a family welcomed me and always treated as their own and looked out for me and loved me. That's all the confidence I need in life knowing I have people that love me for who I am and what I do and with that, I know I can accomplish anything I put my mind to.
