I am an inspiring Electrical Engineer Major who prioritizes helping people and impacting one's community. I hope to achieve an understanding of how to develop solutions to daily problems and broaden my knowledge by going to graduate school. By the end of my education, I will take a job in my career while also coming up with solutions to our growing problem of depleting fossil fuels. My dream has always been to create a new solution to powering the homes of America and then the world. Revolutionizing the power industry will help underdeveloped countries and their families to have access to a once-limited resource. When I attended Rancocaos Valley Regional High School, I was enrolled in a rigorous course called PLTW (Project Lead the Way). The course focused on the fundamentals of engineering such as the engineering design process, presenting ideas and topics to groups, and a deeper understanding of the math it takes to be an engineer. The course was a four-year plan, unfortunately, I was not able to take the course for 2 years because me and my father had moved to Riverside New Jersey from Mount Holly. I started attending Riverside High School when I was a junior and I was immediately welcomed in by students and teachers. The people further inspired me to help my newfound community and so I did. I joined the Interact club which focuses on community service, food and clothing drives, and fundraisers to create a positive impact in our community. Despite Riverside High School's academics being on a lower level than Rancocoas Valleys, I still made sure to take the rigorous courses offered at the school. In my Junior year, I took AP Statistics and US History Honors, and in my Senior year I am taking AP Literature, AP Calculus, and Anatomy and Physiology Honors. Engineering is a very important field that impacts all of humanity, between creating solutions and communicating with others to plan out our actions, engineering has always held a special interest in me. But just as important is the impact you have on your community through the acts of community service and fundraising events. With my fundamental passion for engineering and my newer passion for helping others, I desire to combine the two in a career that focuses on both so we can make the world a better place and with this scholarship I hope I can keep turning it up to 100.

As I went through school I always understood the power of technology and how it can affect people. That's why I made it my duty to educate my friends on how to navigate the internet safely. Understanding how to tell if a website is a scam or if a download has malware are important traits to internet safety. Additionally one must know the be weary of people they encounter online because they may want to steal you're identity, emotionally harm you, or physically harm you. Not only is it important to know how to traverse the internet safely but also to connect to the internet safely. Understanding the importance of using VPNs is crucial to internet ssafetyespecially if you are using open wifi in a public space. However, as I go through college I need money through scholarships and grants in order to pay for my tuition. I live in a single-parent household with just my dad who recently bought the house we are living in now. I can actively pursue my dream of being an Electrical Engineer by receiving this scholarship.
