Being the first person in my family to attend college, I can confidently say that it’s an absolute blessing to have this experience. However, it has come with its own little challenges, such as understanding the steps I need to build my career and just the blueprint of how college works as a whole. By the glory of God, I’ve been able to figure out my way around. Through this journey of beginning college, I’ve really learned to put it all in the Lord’s hands and am more dedicated to creating a future that can really inspire others. What draws me to interior design isn’t simply arranging furniture or picking colors. It’s about creating space where people can thrive. I want to design spaces that would cause people to feel joy and feel welcome, especially in areas where personalized design isn’t much of a priority. Helping others find comfort through design keeps me moving forward, and I believe that interior design can really allow me to make a difference in people’s lives. Since I am the first in my family to go to college, every step forward has a sense of urgency and purpose. Through my background in faith, my desire for education, and my future career in interior design, I hope to inspire others from backgrounds similar to mine. I believe that with persistence, perseverance, and God, this journey can lead to a successful career that can change the lives of those around me.
