My name is Tony Seeback. I'm from Flint Michigan and I have been involved with Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous since 2001. I will have 4 years clean and sober by Jan 26th, 2025. The last grade I finished was 7th grade, I got my GED, I became a state certified Recovery Coach 3 years ago and started working with people that suffer with substance abuse disorder. I found my purpose was helping people. I had reached a point in my position with Therapeutics LLC in Walled Lake, MI as a recovery coach where I could not achieve much more than I already had and that was hindering my ability to help people like I will be able to when I finish my degrees. So I had to resign from my employment to accomplish my goal of finishing college. Working full time and school was to much and I was able to reinstate my social security disability. Recovery to me is having choices, continuing to learn, to be of service to others and do better today than yesterday. It is about not having to drink and drug or the obsession to use that is against my will. Recovery is the FREEDOM to choose.
