      LeBron James Fan Scholarship
I am a fan of LeBron James because of numerous reasons. I know many people often jump to the fact that he is good at basketball and he has done this that at the other but I for one like to have a more in depth response when talking about something or someone that I am a fan of. h is often seen as one of the greatest basketball players of all time due to his incredible skills, versatility, and impact on the game. His ability to excel in virtually every aspect of basketball from scoring, passing, rebounding, and defense along with his longevity and leadership in my eyes are just some of the few things that makes him as great of a player as he is. The fact that Lebron is now well into his 30s but is still able to play as if he were still in his earlier years is also a huge upside towards his case of being one of the greatest if not the greatest of all time especially when you take into account that most athletes tend to start withering or slowing down as they get older typically starting starting around their 30s. The fact that LeBron is consistently near the top if not at the top of the leaderboard is no secret to anyone. He is without a doubt top 5 greatest of all time basketball players but one thing that many people don't know is that LeBron also used to play football. After it a video of him playing wide receiver for his local high school team it had struck me and many other of his fans that he could have gone down either path and still found success. He was already able to play multiple positions in basketball but when you couple that with the fact that he could play multiple sports and still be great should practically skyrocket him to the top of every fans player rankings. Now of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion but his impact on the game and his achievements should certainly make him a strong contender in any conversation.
      Team USA Fan Scholarship
I would have to say that it is a draw between Fredrick Richard and Simone Biles when it comes to my favorite team USA athlete. Firstly starting with Fredrick, he came out of the gate swinging. I would honestly say that he is the male version of Simone Biles. Fredricks determination coupled with his astounding strength and physical aptitude was a perfect showcase of what the pinnacle of fitness looks like. Seeing him keep his composure while consistently doing flips and tricks and taking next to no breaks while doing it all was simply a wonder of human physicality and I would like to think that we can look to Fredrick Richards for inspiration whenever we feel compelled to get our bodies into shape. Simone Biles needs no introduction, she has consistently proven herself and her skills time and time again. The fact that Simone Biles is 4'8" which by todays standards is very short but yet she could jump over someone who's 6ft or taller as if it were child play. She always manages to steal the spotlight from all of the other gymnast and no matter if she nails her show or fails her show she still manages to come out on top and put herself in the lead no matter that field she is participating in. Simone is another inspirational leader because of the fact that even when faced with having a short stature or smaller body or even being much more prone to injury, she can overcome it all and put herself at the top of any leaderboards. I see both athletes as extremely talented and both are respectively gifted but above all else they are both representing not only the American people but more importantly African American people. I myself am a African American and I highly believe we need more representation and with these two individuals being as influential and inspirational as they are only furthers the movement of this notion. With all of tat being said I would have to pick Fredrick Richards as my favorite team USA athlete because I feel like he is this new dark horse who will either rise to be like Simone Biles or become better than Simone Biles. However do not mistake me for a second because Simone Biles will always be one of my top 3 athletes no matter what happens.
      BIPOC Scholars in STEM
I think the first thing that I really need to commit to would be to lose weight. Health should be a top priority for everyone and taking care of their health should be even moreso. Having good health especially for someone who's heavy set like me might be a bit of an uphill battle, for years I used to struggle with getting bullied and even in today's time with the rise of media I still face some hate and disrespect just because of my weight which has in turn made me a little self conscious about my body. I sometimes spend 5-10 minutes looking at myself in the mirror just wondering what it would be like to be healthy and thinner, wondering what it would be like to be able to do things that other more fit people can do, being able to move my body in ways I have never been able to like running further or having stamina that last longer but the most important of all I want to be able to have a long life. These are just some of the things that I believe would truly come as a benefit of being in better shape. The next thing I would like to do is get my mind right, I know all people struggle with some sort of mental gauge with the only difference being how high or how low someone's mental state is. I would like to think that I am a fairly calm and collected person but at the same time I usually pile up my emotions and release it at once which obviously isn't healthy. I try to do things that make me happy such as drawing, playing video games, hanging out with my friends and family or even my girlfriend but even with all of that I still get stress buildup from things. I am an architecture student so you can imagine I have a lot of deadlines to meet and so many parts or a project that I have to do in order to make sure my project is done and comes out almost perfect. I also work and like everyone else I get stress buildup with that, rather it be handling multiple tasks at once, working with customers, getting up early or getting home late, they all just build up and cause my mental state to degrade. One of the last things that I would like to do for my future self is to further my education. Being a university student there is a saying that goes, college isn't about what you know but about who you know. That saying is referring to connections and networking yourself while you're young and in your pre-requisite and undergraduate classes. I am currently working towards my bachelors degree in architecture which I will hopefully be able to enter an internship or job that will allow me to make more money as well. Now with all this talk of money and networking while learning about the major I have chosen I must also remember to keep broadening my knowledge on the core subjects of math, science, English and history. These are fundamental to life and having a good amount of knowledge on them is important. This scholarship would allow me to continue paying off my tuition. As an African American it can sometimes be hard for me to find a good job or have aid from my family, especially since I'm an independent student but through hard work and determination I manage to scrounge up enough money to continue paying my tuition.
      Bookshelf to Big Screen Scholarship
My favorite book to movie series would be the Lord Of The Rings John Ronald Reuel Tolkien and The Hobbit also written and re made into a movie by Tolkien. I always enjoyed reading about half sized people with big feet would find themselves leaving the comfort of their underground homes, traveling across middle earth in an attempt to stop a war between the dwarves of the mountains, always adorning themselves with the finest of golds and silvers but also fording some of the finest tools and armors of war known to middle earth. The elves of the woodland realms who would live for hundreds of years, living in peace and tranquility for the most part. They would fight alongside the dwarves and men but sadly their race was the base for the forces of evil as through torture and manipulation from the antagonist (Sauron) they would turn into these dark and evil creatures who did the dark lords biding. The race of men were just like your typical everyday medieval age folk, They would build vast and massive kingdoms and amass large powerful armies that would spread all throughout middle earth. When they turned the book into a movie I remember finding out through my mother who was also a big Lord Of The Rings as I had read the books before I even knew about the movies. One day I was just rummaging around my mothers old movie cabinet looking for something to watch on the DVD player as streaming services weren't really big yet and ended up finding out there were Lord Of The Rings movies. I jumped with joy at the thought of finally being able to watch the characters come to life, moving across the screen and really making the story come to life was ana amazing experience for me and oh boy the movies did not disappoint. The only sad thing about the book to movie shift is that the movie may leave out things that were in the book but all in all the movie stayed true to the books story and made up for any lost parts found in the book with cool action, great music tracks and of course top of the line acting. All of that coupled with great cinematic shots made for an excellent masterpiece of a movie which later went on to win many awards and be showcased for many years to come. The lord Of The Rings movies did so well that they eventually led to the hobbit movies coming out shortly after. The hobbit was the story of the previous protagonist who just so happens to be the grandfather of The Lord Of The rings protagonist. Although the hobbit was the story about the previous protagonist, the movie itself came out after, the movie embodied everything that made the first set of movies so good but kicked up the greatness. The music, the graphics, the acting, the cast, the story and all of the other things were kicked up from 10/10 to 100/10 but the best part about it all was how well they tied together so many things that we didn't know back in the first movies. They also found a way to show the transition from the Hobbit to The Lord Of The Rings at the end of the Hobbit which was really nice to see. They made everything so smooth and easy to understand coupled with the fact that it didn't leave out as much from the book unlike its other half. The entire story from 9 great books to 6 excellent movies.
Janean D. Watkins Overcoming Adversity Scholarship
Hello, my name is Tigris Dunn, and I am 19 years old turning 20 in March. I love the color purple considering blue was my favorite for the longest time but then I had a short period of love for red and what better way to appreciate both than by liking the color that harnesses the beauty of both. I also like cooking with my favorite food, mac and cheese. While I am better at making things such as fried goods I have begun dabbling into baking and am striving ever so eagerly to become a better cook overall instead of being good in one area or another for I seek to be good in multiple areas and become a jack of all trades in a sense. I currently attend Miami university Oxford campus in hopes to pursue my dream of becoming an architect and interior designer. I remember always playing with Legos when I was young, I was always building a castle or house, but my favorite memories were when I would recreate a scene from a movie I had watched and tried reenacting it. Lord of the rings and the hobbit were my favorite to build, but later it shifted towards Star Wars, and I would often try to build the scene from the battle of Hoth. I also found out I had a thing for drawing and was deemed more gifted than other students when it came to art and understanding it. I would work with my art teachers or watch Youtube videos in an attempt to try and refine my artistic abilities and even to this day I continue to take my teachers advice or watch videos from people who have already mastered art as a way of learning and mastering my own talents. I am still searching for my own styles and rhythm but so far, I have come a long way, and I will only continue to strive forward from here. I would have to say that being a young Africans American male comes with a lot of adversity, I have always had struggles with my weight as I am a little more on the chubby side, I haven't had many but sometimes I struggle with my mental state from when I use to get bullied for my weight or when my mother would scream at me in typical mom fashion, I struggled with my finances and still do to this day considering everything seems to be rising in prices and they predict my generation won't be able to afford anything in a few years but not only that but the fact that its already hard enough for people of color to get a good paying job or the resources to get whatever aid we need. I like many others have always faced struggles such as these but through it all I simply reminded myself to just push through and as the years went by, I made many friends, got a job and started making money and even lost some weight in the process of it all. I would like to think that things will get better in the future, so I keep my head held high and I remind myself to just stay strong and push through.
      I Can Do Anything Scholarship
The version of me in the future should be a well-accomplished architect who has not only influenced the architecture of our home planet but has also become a leading name in the architecture and design industry when we go to colonize the stars.
      Minority Students x Stem Scholarship
The individual who inspired me to indulge in STEM would have been my engineering teacher who taught me everything I need to know about precision machining back when I was still In high school. He worked with me my entire junior and senior year of high school teaching me about precision machining which falls under the engineering field, each class I would learn about torque, tolerances, trimming, reading print and so many other useful things that I can use in not only engineering but other fields of work. He also helped me get a job in engineering during my final year of high school and even after which has helped me immensely. I was also ecstatic when he awarded me a scholarship after graduating from his class and high school which actually paid off a decent bit of my tuition cost. I would first like to obtain my bachelor's in architecture but also pick up a degree in engineering so that I can pick up a job in both fields which would allow me to integrate my ideas into the future cities movement. Now if you don't know what the future cities movement is, it's essentially all these projects that are currently under development or already being started with the main goal being to construct new cities that give off an almost futuristic look while also utilizing sustainable and affordable practices. The companies building these cities will be utilizing practices such as 3D printing, waste management and Organic design also known as biophilic design which is where they mix nature into their designs and construction. The cities will usher in a new age of architecture and engineering that will also utilize the newest technology to improve not only the lives of humans but the environment as well. The idea of being able to induct my ideas into this movement will hopefully spark inspiration and innovation across the world. I strongly believe that the tech industry has an obligation to be more inclusive to its customers. The people deserve to know what is going on and should have some sort of a say in what is produced by the industry. The people need to be involved considering they are the ones keeping these big industries and tech giants afloat so making sure that the people are happy would be all around better for business. I would also like to note that there are other things at play here such as ethics, The people should know how technology will be used especially if it's on them or used by them. A good example would be how hospitals utilize a lot of sensors and detectors to locate issues in the body but say if a new tech company tries out some sort of guided camera that isn't fully tested and malfunctions inside of someone leading to more issues all because the new tech wasn't tested before its launch or let's say how new iPhones might come with a better camera but also a hidden microphone that can be used to hear your interest that can be used and sold to other companies in order to throw adds at you all for a profit well I fell the people should know about it and have a say in rather or not such things should be allowed, I would also like to add that public opinion might also make an even better product than the one the original company proposed. This would of course be via feedback which is already an existing form of inclusiveness to the customers.
Isaac Yunhu Lee Memorial Arts Scholarship
To who this may concern My name is Tigris Dunn and I would first like to start by introducing myself. I am a 19-year-old first-year student who has recently come into some financial hardships while in pursuit of a bachelor's in Architecture. I use drawing and sketching as a way to escape my troubles and have always found it as a way to refresh my mind after a long day of classes or work. I use art as a way to express myself because that's what art is, it is a form of expression and I tend to use it to help me show how I truly feel inside or to envision my ideas. The picture I uploaded was something I drew after a very hard time in my life after a bit of a depression phase that was the result of something very personal happening to my family. I have always specialized in drawing people. nature scenes or objects but I have never really been one to draw up buildings or cities but once I tried drawing them I soon realized how good I was at doing so and I even took an interest in them and soon began to refine my ability in being able to do so. This is what lead me to the career field of architecture and I just never looked back after that. I practice drawing buildings every day I can and even began diving into software such as Revit and Lumion considering they are two of the biggest online modeling software right now besides AutoCAD. I have been using them to create floor plans and exterior models to help increase my knowledge in the field of architecture and interior design and they have proven to be very helpful as they allow me to have complete freedom over the project while even offering me free access even though they usually run a few hundred bucks but because I am a student they gave me full access for free. Every day I had come home and worked on this mega project of mine adding more and more detail to the ever so accumulating scene I was trying to capture. I was shooting for a city that closely resembles Manhattan or Brooklyn in a sense, the city-on-water vibe was the main goal. I wanted to give it that nice slick and clean look that you might see in todays society but also give it that old-century touch that closely resembles that 90s type of look. The drawing was supposed to introduce a mix of the future but also a mini blast from the past allowing me to show my love and passion for both periods. I also wanted to use it for my portfolio as I will be using it later on to obtain a job or if I ever needed to transfer to a different university. I also have a large love for city life as they truly capture the beauty of human architecture and engineering and acts as a beacon of inspiration for young aspiring architects such as myself.
      Integrity within Construction Scholarship
      Winner
The popular and innovative toy known as Legos inspired me to enter the field of construction The idea of introducing creation and imagination through tiny little connectable blocks might be one of mankind's most ingenious ideas yet all while providing innovative, safe and affordable fun that anyone can enjoy in the comfort of their very own home. When I was younger, probably around the age of 5, I started just as any other kid my age at the time would, I would place blocks in random places or attempt to stack them on top of each other creating weird and uncomprehensive shapes. I would even try to stick my action figures and other toys on the little base plates that used to come in the older sets thinking that I could create some little scene that I may have seen on some sort of cartoon or movies I previously had watched. I would deem this era as the beginning stages that would inevitably form my future and as I got older everything started to take shape and complexity. Once I got a little older, around the age of 7 through 9 there was a period in my mind that took a sort of realism effect. I began to picture ideas and creations or take things that I see out in the real world and try to memorize them down to a fine point, this would ultimately lead to me constructing the Legos into whatever it was I saw or depicted in my mind. The ideas would just keep popping into my mind as I continued to build almost as if one idea inspired the next, which in my mind was the sole purpose of Legos. I would also like to mention that didn't always have the newest Legos or an abundance of Legos, but I made good with what I had, and I always finished each build or project feeling that I could always improve and do better even if I had outdated blocks or fewer pieces than everyone else. This would motivate me to put such passion and detail into my creations, which as you can imagine left me feeling fairly pleased with myself but there was still that feeling of something missing. I would continue to build but I still couldn't put my finger on that missing piece, that was until I began to dive into the world of art. I would sketch up and draw out my plans on paper before constructing the build and being able to erase and change the drawing as I went on allowed me to make mistakes and learn how to move on and improve with each new iteration or build. The ability to be able to draw out and manipulate my plans making sure everything will fit into place was a major help when it came to developing my ideas, I soon understood that not only could I express my creative freedom through small little bricks but I could also express myself through a pencil and paper which then lead me to draw other things like people, cars, planes and more. Now if you haven't caught on allow me to tell you how all my excitement came to a point when I found out about a job that pays me to indulge in working with my passion for both building and drawing. Now with that being said I can honestly say that all these events led me to the career pathway of Architecture and that is what I will be pursuing my bachelor's.
STAR Scholarship - Students Taking Alternative Routes
I would like to start by saying that as a young African American male, I am often discouraged or belittled when I go to tell people that I want to become an architect. I would always be told that it would be too hard for me or that it's a job that only nonblacks could be successful at, I would be told that I would never be able to climb the corporate ladder or that I will always be stuck in the same position or worse. I would like to envision myself in a future where that isn't true for not only myself or African Americans but all people of color no matter what skin color they are. I want to believe that anyone can become an Architect and pursue their dreams of designing the world how they see fit. Ever since I was just a small child mainly around the age of 6-11 playing with used legos and mega blocks I had consistently been developing a love or fascination for the arts of creation, design, innovation and most importantly imagination. I also developed my artistic skills and became very fond of drawing, I would spend hours in my room sketching figures and building just like any kid that age would. I had essentially fallen in love with both so eventually I ended up sketching blueprints on paper and would try to recreate what I drew with the legos, you can almost imagine my excitement when I was informed about architecture. I remember being infatuated with the idea of being able to sketch out whatever my little mind could dream of and seeing it be constructed in the real world instead of a base plate painted green to look like grass with little connector studs coming out of the top of it. I am now in college pursuing this very dream of becoming an architect, I bust my rear constantly improving my mathematics, sketching up buildings and people and meshing colors together trying to create the perfect scene. I have been enrolled in many design classes learning how to use software such as CAD and Lumion which in turn has helped me learn how to create 3D models and more in-depth versions of my blueprints. I strongly believe that if I become an architect, my life will be put into a much greater perspective not only for myself but for the world as I plan to unleash my imagination and let my visions inspire and re-create the world. I will begin the first step in my life plan, the ultimate goal is to create my own company that will become one of the leading architecture firms as the world begins to take on a new look.
      Vincent U. Cornwall Legacy Scholarship
I would like to start by saying that my neighborhood is full of children, I know many of them as most of the younger ones have an older sibling that I know and or am friends with. I live in a more African-America-dominated neighborhood so you can imagine that we aren't exactly the wealthiest, I always hear about someone's financial situation and how they wish they have more money or wish things were cheaper and considering prices are rising all around us every day of the week every week of the month and every month of the year it almost seems impossible to crawl out of this financial hole that most of us sit in, and with more falling in we all seem to pile on top of each other. My advice would be to invest, and save your money even if it's just a dollar. I would recommend trying to work at a young age rather its selling lemonade or getting a job picking up trash at a fast food restaurant, your best bet is to start working at a young age and investing/ saving your money and reducing your spending to essential needs for the most part with limited spending on wants. I can assure you that you don't need the newest Iphone or pair of jordans, it would be a much more financially wise decision to just hold onto your cash as it would play out better for you in the long run. I would also recommend getting into stocks or possibly some of these online jobs so that way you can work at home while also making a bit of money. I would also like to add that having multiple jobs isn't a bad idea, I would say get one that's for the main days of the week and maybe an online job that you can do to earn some extra pocket change on the side. I for one have worked a couple of jobs at a time but I was smart and made sure I had days to rest as well that way I was making a decent amount of money but I also wasn't slaving away every day of the week. I can also say that switching to direct deposit is also a huge must unless you are okay with picking up a check, but the world is leaning towards technology and doing everything online so it's better to just fill out the direct deposit form so your money can just be sent to your bank and all you gotta do is get a card that automatically uploads your new account balance as soon as the money flows in.
      Adrin Ohaekwe Memorial Scholarship
My career goals have and will always revolve around becoming a successful architect. I have always dreamed of going to Africa, a place that I consider a home away from home due to my ancestors originating from parts such as the countries of Congo, Kenya, Ghana and more. My ideal dream would be to go to some of the small villages or poetized towns and rebuilding the entire area to resemble a more minimalistic/ futuristic look. I would also like to point out that that isn't the only reason why I chose Africa but more or less because it is a place known for high poverty rates, terrible infrastructure, lack of access to clean water, power and most of all an extremely poor economy. I want to convert Africa into not only an economic but also a technological hub for the whole world to see. Africa has been down for too long in my opinion and granted while it is partially their fault it is the outside world that has done most of the damage and to this day continues to damage Africa. I strongly believe that if I can convert and terraform the barren wasteland to a continent filled with large pearly cities that operate on their manufacturing their recourses and power while exporting goods for large sums of money that will go towards expansion and projects that will continue to grow Africa's economy and workforce to lavish travel/ vacation spots that would bring in not only new tourist looking to sail down one of Africa's many beautiful rivers or along their many beaches but bring in people from other parts of the world as a permanent residence. I would love to start my architecture firm which will be one of the leading companies taking part in Africa's future cities program that’s going on right now. I would also like to raise awareness of eco-friendly construction/ architecture by incorporating sustainable building practices in my designs, I would like whatever I may design to be surrounded by and or to be at most 30-40% covered in plants, trees etc. I would like to do this and consider it as my way of giving back to the environment not only would I be giving back to the environment, but I would also be making it a safer area for the people as well. This would be my biggest goal and not only is it a goal but it’s a major part of a much bigger dream. The game of chess has taught me to play my cards correctly for one wrong move could completely throw off everything I have worked for and set me back while also allowing others to take what I have to gain. The game of chess has also taught me that instead of gloating and showing off it's better to help those who you beat and never be afraid to step out of your comfort zone when faced with an opponent or challenge that may switch up and make you doubt everything you've ever learned.

Hello my name is Tigris Dunn. I am a first year student who is currently enrolled in the University of Cincinnati as a pre-DAAP major pursuing my bachelors in Architecture and Interior Design. I was born march 20th 2004 (18) which was and to this day still is a very special day due to it being at the same time as the spring equinox also known as the first day of spring. I am an African American second generation student who is following in my mothers footsteps of going to college and getting my degree which earlier I mentioned was my bachelors in Architecture and Interior Design. I also plan to minor in Graphic Design or Culinary, I cannot figure out which one I want to go into due to being gifted in both but as far as I know I am leaning a bit more towards Graphic Design due to it corresponding with my main major. I attended Colerain Highschool for all 4 years of my high-school career but almost ended up having to change schools due to my mother wanting to put me in a private school and my high-schools football team just barely being able to afford to play this year. I played in the teams football program for all 4 years of my life playing varsity for a season and a half, while our season was cut shot I managed to have fun and grow as not only a player but as a person and more importantly as a man. I also engaged in wrestling for a couple years but dropped it my last year due to the program not being as fun as it use to be. I also would like to follow up with the fact that during the summer I not only played football but I also played golf for the First Tee program for 5+ years which enabled me to not only gain 3,000 in scholarship funds but prompted me to be showcased on channel 9 news, calendar's, events, youth programs and more. I graduated from Colerain Highschool in May of 2022 with a 4.0 GPA which prompted me for success when it was time for me to submit my final transcripts and be officially accepted into the University of Cincinnati. I would like to first start off by saying that my future would hopefully consist of academic success, financial aid, new bonds rather they be with my old friends or someone completely new, better communication and bonds with my family and an overall better second year. I also plan to get back into the working force for I will need to replenish the money I have spent and be able to take care of my tuition cost/ expense's. My future should also consist in working out and getting my body back into shape for the past few months I haven't really been working out due to me not being apart of a sports program anymore. I also plan to enroll in clubs and groups at my University so that I may gain the chance to make new friends and learn more about the school that I will be attending for the next 4+ years. I would have to say that the only other thing or things that may stop me from achieving my goals that aren't my financial struggles would have to be my health, for years I have been struggling with a disease which I would like to leave un named but it has been very prominent in my life for around 6-7 years but can be cured in time.

I would have to say the book that transformed my life would have had to have been mice and men. The story is so surrounded in controversy especially the characters Lennie and George. The story of the two brothers traveling throughout California as they look for work is one of hardship, love, humor but most importantly tragedy. There was a scene where George had to kill his brother Lennie who suffers from a disability ( autism ) and the most heartbreaking quote from that scene is "tell me about the rabbits, George". Lennie's death range bells thought my head, he has the mental state of a six year old who's trapped in a mans body. Lennie di not understand what he did was wrong but I also saw mercy in George shooting Lennie for if the other men had got him surely they would have done far worse and then killed him. The story before had had followed the brothers going on an almost adventuristic journey with George simply wanting love and work and Lennie wanting to stay by his brothers side and one day see the rabbits. The brothers needed work and money so that they could live and own their own land all while gaining their independence. I remember listening to the teacher read and depict the bond that these brothers had while on their adventure, listening to her describe how the brothers would nearly escape fights or move from job to job basically just be on the run while trying to make a life for themselves and achieve their dream. I am not much of a book reader but the book mice and men was packed with so many of my interest its almost a go to book whenever I have to read.
Christian ‘Myles’ Pratt Foundation Fine Arts Scholarship
I would have to say that my biggest influence right now is myself. I just kind of do my own thing, I don't try to style my art after anyone and I don't try to model anything after anyone I just do whatever comes to mind. I will use my art skills and take to the world of Architecture as I will be pursing my degree in both Architecture and Design at the University of Cincinnati. I will use my abilities and skills to create and innovate buildings all the way from towering sky scrapers in the city to the smallest cottage in the country side. I love the idea of remodeling homes and building up stores or houses in the suburbs that will have their own respective looks and style. My skills aren't vastly different and to be honest I would think everyone kind of has that similar art sense but in a way we all have our different styles and doing our own things. I would have to say the only thing that makes my artistic skill different is that its in my own style and it has its own style its own features just like everyone else and their respective gift/skill. I also would like to include that I do dabble in art revolving around 3D printing which is showing to be an ever increasing interest around the world. I have also done some clay art which isn't as big as it use to be so in a way I guess you could say that in itself is what makes my art gift different. I like to explore all forms of art even ones that aren't as relevant or big time anymore. I would say the way I come up with an idea or drawing is the most common yet un common thing about my gift, I would make the outline in my head and then re draw that outline on the canvas or sometimes I would just put the pencil on the paper and allow my mind to wander and my brain just does what it wants. I view art as an escape from the world and as many artist do I see it as a form of expressing myself, that's why I say everyone kind of has that same sense of art and there's no real difference but some people have other reasons. I would say some of the examples I have would be drawing to make a portfolio for my school or drawing to draw inspiration and influence others but the most common in my opinion is a way of expression.
      Juquel K. Young Memorial Scholarship
The one major factor that pushes me to move forward would be my obsession with success. I will admit I may not have always been the best athlete and I may not have always been the ideal chore doing, parent abiding son but one thing I am for sure on is I have always been a hard worker and by that I mean when I got to work I come in and I get on the job with the goal in mind being come in do your job and be ready for the next task tomorrow. I have a saying and that's " if I come in work hard and get this task done I can come in tomorrow and do another", I say this because I am one of those types of people who doesn't like to do the same thing twice or at least 90 percent of the time I don't. I like to do one thing one day or multiple things one day, granted I can and will do something over and over and over again if I'm required to do so or I actually enjoy what I'm doing but 9 times out of 10 I wont. I like to switch things up and learn new things or try new and different task so that way I can find some sort of joy in working. I would argue that nobody truly likes working, we all want money and big houses or fancy cars without having to lift a finger. I have to find a way to find joy in my work so I tie the jobs that I do into things I like which makes it easier to press on and continue to do these jobs or if they offer some sort of benefits that also makes thins a little easier. Pressing on can be hard, sometimes you don't like the task your doing or other times its the people you have to work with or work for but if you can find a way to keep going I for one would say it builds character and perosna. I would argue it shows people who you truly are and gives not only yourself but others a peer into your inner thoughts, traits and workings. I would say the the obsession to succeed is my strongest reason and by succeed I mean the basic every day answers a big house, lots of money and nice cars but its not only that its also having good friends who are just as successful and hard working as me, a good family who supports me and allows me to support them, a good job or maybe even my own business/ businesses. I want the world to notice me and I would like to put myself on the map or leave a legacy . I would also like to mention that even the succession is my biggest reason for pressing on its not the only one. I would also like to see my family taken care of, my mom works multiple jobs just to make sure we can eat good and sleep soundly, my brother is in a poor-ish situation an my grandmother is getting older and needs someone to take care of her. I need to make it big so that I can help them. I would also like to make sure my partner of kids if I decide to have any in the future are taken care of. there are many reason to press on but one true reason I have is life is to short to give up
      Youssef University’s College Life Scholarship
I would do a number of things. I would dance in diaper on a stage in front of a crowd of people, I would lightly slap a baby. I would write some of the boldest messages to some of the most biggest and most powerful people in the world. I would jump off a bridge just as long as there is water at the bottom.
      Gary "G" Goldstein Scholarship
I would say it was my sophmore year and I had to wrestle varsity against the previous state champ due to our 285 senior being injured. I learned several things that day, but the most important would be always let your enemy make the first move. I would put it as in wrestling let them make the first move see what they do feel them out n learn any patterns or moves don’t just charge in. I had the lucky chance to find out the hard way and got pinned in 30 sec I mean the guy was huge n bulky also a senior but I battled for a few seconds and put up a decent fight for the moment but ultimate failed but in the end it was a learning experience because the following year I started adapting and using the same technique and it worked of i still lost some matches but it was hard fought and I’m proud of myself for the growth I achieved.
      Hasanovic American Dream Scholarship
I would have to start this off by saying my version of the American dream is slightly different from the norm. Some people come to America hoping to escape danger or to make a new start and change their lives. I would have to say the American dream for me would be somewhat like the average, everyone wants a big house fancy car and to live life lavishly and I do too. I want a nice car or several I want a big house and lots of money but the way I want to gain it all is through hard work, I wanna see myself succeed and grow . I want to see myself struggle but break through it’s not about getting money the easy way and living happily it’s more for of succession story for me And I want others to notice my upcoming and my progression not only as a hard worker but as a person too. I want to own my own architecture company and redesign the world and not just the world but our solar system as a whole. I want my company to be one of the leading designing firms in the world and then I want to own my own aero space company almost like an Elon musk journey. I would love to see my company take to the stars and be one of the founding fathers to humanity’s journey beyond the confinement of our solar system. I remember being a kid and being fascinated with space and what resides beyond the asteroid fields and eco planets but I also had a dream to design large sky scrappers, docking bays, space stations, schools, other companies and warehouses just infrastructure as a whole. I know this is a lot and it will require a lot of time and money but I’m young and have plenty of time I hope, all I have to do is stay on the right path and put my mind to whatever it is I choose to do.
Jameela Jamil x I Weigh Scholarship
I would say that my most recent time an individual has impacted me would be at work, my mentor has been more of a father figure then my actual dad (absent) has ever been. My father abandoned me and my mom at a young age, you know typical African American background story with single mom and all that. I have for many years not know a father and have only seen my biological dad a couple times (3 in total)so when my mentor at work came along it was a whole new world type of deal. My mentor has not only shown me how to do my job but also how to be a better man and has given me lessons from fixing even the smallest of mistakes and issues to repairing the biggest ones in my personal life. He has given me ideas and painted pictures in my head on how to cook foods getting into new hobbies such as fishing and hunting to even balancing my money and financial aspects of life. He has given me more advice on how to live then anyone else ever has and with his advice and teachings I have formed new ideas, new methods, hopes and dreams and ways to achieve them. My mentor is by far one of the top 3 influencers in my life right beside my mom and my biggest idol yet Elon musk.
      Bold Goals Scholarship
I would have to say my current and likely goals right now would have to be getting into college and making it through my first year. I would also like to maintain my job and be able to pay off my college debt or leave with as little debt as possible. I would also like to love out of my families home and begin my own journey maybe starting a family or just riding solo seeing where the wind takes me. I wanna get a job as an architect which is also why I am going to college, I am hopefully going to get my bachelors degree.
      Bold Study Strategies Scholarship
I have used man of study strategies but I would say the one I learned from my mom is by far the most helpful. My moms a middle school teacher and she’s been so for 14 Almost 15 years and she had once recommended instead of reading the entire thing read the first paragraph and the last and skim through the middle and so far it has been the most useful method I’ve ever used. During the act I used this same method and ended up getting a 21 on my reading and that’s just the first try. I did the same thing for my history and mathematics and ended up with the same positive results. This technique also saves me a lot of time as well, allowing me to finish things right on time or earlier then it’s due date.
      Bold Reflection Scholarship
I would have to say my life right now is fairly decent, I have been accepted Into college and my high school grades have been nothing but great all year. I have been talking to a few women as well so I would say my relationship status is on it’s way, on top of that I have also made some new friends and gotten back into sports for my final year of Highschool. I am getting into new fashion trends and going out more and soon I’ll be 18 and I’ll really get to explore the world. I can see my future being prosperous if I simply stick to my path and and stay true to my dream
      Bold Speak Your Mind Scholarship
I would have to say that I have always felt the need to speak my mind, so have what others call no filter. I try my hardest not to hide things or keep things in or lie but instead tell you how it is straight down to the point. I think that everyone deserves to know the truth no matter how good or how bad, I strongly believe that knowing the truth no matter how it is given to you can often lead to good things. Speaking my mind gives me freedom and allows me to say what I wish to say without punishment or retaliation….well sometimes. I think others should speak their mind too and keep true to their mind and hearts and yes sometimes these words can hurt but it’s better then spinning a lie that will only double the consequences when that lie comes to light. Sometimes these words may lead to bad things but At least you have gotten your point across. Speaking your mind may have many of consequences especially in todays society, there are many who will agree or disagree but I think people speaking their minds can help the world become strong just so long as the people become strong with it and learn to take whatever is said the right way.
      Bold Bucket List Scholarship
The top thing on my bucket list would have to be completing everything on my bucket list I want to grow old, hopefully I will be accompanied by a loving wife and kids who will succeed me and my accomplishments I want to do what everyone wants and be able to buy big fancy houses and nice cars I want to graduate from college with my degree and make my mother proud considering we would be the only two people in our family to have gone to college and completed it I want to finish highschool and graduate in the top percent of my class and so far I’m making great strives I want to take better care of my dog, I want to get her a friend to play with while I’m away I want to go out more and see the world maybe do some traveling and see the different places I want to make a difference for the world, I won’t say what it is I want it to be a surprise
      Theresa Lord Future Leader Scholarship
One of my longest lasting education goals is to Hold my math grade to an A for one or more years of high-school and beyond. I am currently a high school senior and I would have to say my math grade has done nothing but grow, I’ve gone from b’a and c’s to an A every quarter of my final two years of high school. I would have to say one of my biggest obstacles would have to have been lack of effort, I use to be lazy when it came to math and I was one of those students who thought it wouldn’t effect me but it did. I now have to pry my way into the higher class and move out of the basic advanced classes, doing the same thing over and over again gets old so in order to push myself and learn new stuff and get into the higher classes is gonna be a tough journey but it’s one I’m willing to make if it means I can move up in my educational life. I learned that I always need to push myself no matter how good I think or know I am, I learned that I always need to do my best if I want to achieve my goals.
      Black Students in STEM Scholarship
Entrepreneurship in my opinion is the most common method of starting a business. I would always think well the person who created the company or business had to have been an entrepreneur and built their way up to the top. Entrepreneurs are the reason why we have many of the items we have today, for example Steve Jobs and his team made Apple iPhones which many of us use, ken kutagari made the Xbox while Jonathan Seamus made Xbox and let’s not forget People like Karl Benz who invented the car all these people were or are entrepreneurs who have made great things. I personally think entrepreneurship is just a fancy way of saying idealist or inventor, people who start small and grow over time. I also think young people should get more into entrepreneurship, young people such as myself have minds full of idea, hopes and dreams that should be unleashed unto the world and if society agrees with it then let those hopes and dreams become reality. I think that through hard work and determination many new entrepreneurs will arise and make great things that will Influence the world as a whole.
