Now pursuing a business degree, after making the decision to go to college after being out of school for more than twenty years. I am working toward my dream of launching “T’s Bee’s @ Honey Bee Well,” a sustainable beekeeping business focused on producing honey, protecting pollinators, and giving back to the community. A portion of the profits will support local programs for the homeless and survivors of domestic violence, and provide educational workshops on environmental sustainability. My story is about breaking barriers and turning challenges into opportunities. I am passionate about inspiring others—especially women, first-generation students, and those who have faced hardship—to rise above their circumstances and pursue their dreams. Legacy, to me, is about creating a foundation that others can build upon a legacy of strength, resilience, and hope. It means leaving behind a positive impact that inspires future generations to dream bigger, work harder, and break through barriers. My upbringing has shaped my understanding of legacy and my determination to ensure that my children’s path in life is paved with opportunities that I had to work tirelessly to create. Growing up, my family faced its share of challenges. My parents did their best, but resources were often limited. These circumstances instilled in me a deep understanding of hard work and perseverance but also a realization that I wanted to break the cycle of struggle. As a mother raising four children while working in manufacturing for 16 years, I’ve experienced the reality of doing physically demanding labor to provide for my family. These experiences fueled my resolve to create a legacy of opportunity for my children. Returning to school after decades out of high school was not an easy decision, but it was a necessary one. My goal is to lead by example, showing my children that it’s never too late to pursue education and that hard work and determination can open doors to new possibilities. Through my pursuit of a degree, I am not just working toward a better future for myself but setting a precedent for my children to aim high in their own lives. One way I plan to break the cycle is by becoming a successful entrepreneur. My vision for my beekeeping business, which focuses on producing honey and beeswax products, is not only about creating a sustainable livelihood for my family but also about contributing to the community. I want to educate others about the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem, showing how even small changes can make a big difference. This business reflects my commitment to building something meaningful that benefits not only my family but also the world around us. Breaking cycles of struggle and creating a legacy requires intentional effort. For me, education is the key to achieving this. By continuing my education, I am equipping myself with the skills and knowledge to move beyond the physically exhausting work of manufacturing into a role where I can focus on leadership and innovation. This scholarship would play a critical role in making that possible, easing the financial burden and allowing me to focus on achieving my goals. Legacy isn’t just about where we come from; it’s about where we go and what we leave behind. I want my legacy to be one of courage and transformation, proving that with determination and faith, we can create a future that is brighter than our past.

Education has always been a dream for me, but as a first-generation college student, it is also a significant milestone for my family. Growing up, the idea of pursuing higher education felt like an unattainable goal. My parents worked tirelessly to provide for our family, instilling in me the value of hard work and perseverance. However, financial struggles and a lack of familiarity with the college process often made the thought of attending school seem overwhelming and out of reach. After graduating high school in 2000, I entered the workforce to support myself and, later, my family. For 16 years, I worked in manufacturing as a welder-fitter, enduring grueling, physically demanding conditions. These long shifts taught me resilience and determination, but as the years passed, I realized the toll it was taking on my body. I began to think more seriously about my future and the example I wanted to set for my children. I wanted to show them that it’s never too late to chase your dreams and that education can open doors to a better life. Returning to school after nearly two decades has been a challenging yet transformative experience. Balancing the demands of college coursework while raising a family is no easy task. Late nights spent studying often follow long workdays, but I am driven by the knowledge that my education will pave the way for a brighter future—not just for me, but for my children and community as well. Pursuing a college degree will allow me to transition from the shop floor to a career that leverages my skills and experience while providing opportunities for growth. My ultimate goal is to start a beekeeping business that produces honey and beeswax products. This dream is not only about creating a sustainable business but also about giving back to my community. By educating others about the importance of pollinators in our ecosystem and supporting local initiatives, I hope to make a lasting impact. Education is the key that will unlock these opportunities. Through college, I am gaining the skills, knowledge, and confidence needed to run a successful business and contribute to my community in meaningful ways. This scholarship would ease the financial burden of tuition, allowing me to focus on my studies and fully invest in building a better future. As a first-generation college student, I am proud to carry the hopes of my family and to show others in my community that higher education is attainable, no matter the obstacles. By achieving my educational and entrepreneurial goals, I hope to inspire others to believe in their potential and to strive for a future where dreams are not limited by circumstances. Education is not just a personal journey for me; it is a path to creating lasting change in my family and community.

Growing up as a vegan in a household where plant-based eating was not the norm was both a challenge and a source of strength. In the 1980s and early 2000s, veganism was still a rare lifestyle in many communities, especially in mine. I vividly remember family gatherings where my plate looked vastly different from everyone else’s, and my food choices were often met with confusion, skepticism, or outright teasing. It was difficult to help my family understand and respect my decision to follow a vegan lifestyle. Despite the challenges, I stayed true to my beliefs because I knew they reflected my values—respect for all living beings and a commitment to environmental sustainability. As I became a parent, I wanted to share those values with my children. I initially raised them as vegans, teaching them to appreciate the importance of ethical and sustainable eating. However, as they grew older, they chose their own paths, opting for different eating habits. While I was initially disappointed, I came to respect their decisions, just as I had hoped for respect when I chose veganism. This experience taught me that while I can guide and inspire others, I must also honor their autonomy. It deepened my empathy and strengthened my ability to navigate differences, not just within my family but also in broader social circles. My lifelong journey with veganism has also intersected with my passion for social justice, particularly regarding food accessibility and environmental advocacy. Living in a working-class community, I have seen firsthand how limited access to fresh, plant-based foods disproportionately affects marginalized communities. Many families rely on processed, inexpensive options because healthier alternatives are out of reach. This disparity has fueled my desire to advocate for affordable, nutritious food options for all, regardless of socioeconomic status. Another area where veganism intersects with social justice is environmental sustainability. As a welder and manufacturer for over 16 years, I have worked in industries where sustainability is often overlooked in favor of profit. My personal commitment to veganism has motivated me to become an advocate for practices that reduce environmental harm. I firmly believe that what we put on our plates is as important as the policies we implement in our industries, and I strive to live by example. The challenges I faced growing up vegan and raising children as a vegan parent have shaped me into a more resilient and empathetic person. These experiences have taught me the importance of advocacy, respect, and patience. They have also inspired me to educate others about the environmental and social benefits of plant-based living, not through judgment but through connection and shared understanding. In my daily life, I aim to align my actions with my values. Whether it’s supporting local community gardens, volunteering with food distribution programs, or simply sharing a plant-based recipe with a curious coworker, I strive to make small yet meaningful contributions to the social justice causes I care about. Veganism is not just a personal choice for me; it is a way to create ripple effects of positive change in the world. Through these experiences, I have learned that true progress is built on persistence and compassion. While being a lifelong vegan in an often-resistant community has not been easy, it has taught me the power of standing firm in my beliefs while respecting the journeys of others. As I continue to navigate this path, I hope to inspire others to explore how their daily choices, from food to advocacy, can create a more equitable and sustainable world.

Returning to school after over two decades of being out of the classroom has been a challenging yet transformative journey for me. As a mother raising four children, balancing family, work, and education is no easy task. For years, my focus was on ensuring my children had the opportunities I didn’t have growing up. However, as they grew older, I realized it was time to invest in myself and my future, both for their benefit and mine. Working in manufacturing for 16 years has shaped much of my adult life. Long shifts in non-climate-controlled environments, often overnight, taught me resilience and grit. My role as a welder fitter required not only physical strength but also mental stamina. Yet as I age, I’ve realized the toll this work takes on my body. It sparked a desire to move beyond the shop floor and pursue a career that aligns with both my interests and long-term well-being. That’s when I decided to return to school, determined to rewrite my narrative and create a better future. The journey back to education has not been without its obstacles. Juggling the demands of work, school, and parenting is a constant balancing act. There are nights when exhaustion threatens to overwhelm me, but the thought of giving my children a role model who never gives up keeps me going. Financial strain is another significant challenge. Raising a family while funding an education leaves little room for error, but it has taught me how to be resourceful and prioritize what truly matters. Every moment of sacrifice is driven by the hope of a better tomorrow. Returning to school has also reignited my passion for learning. I’m pursuing courses that align with my dream of becoming a beekeeper and starting my own business, a passion that blossomed as I learned about the critical role bees play in our ecosystem. My goal is to contribute to the environment by promoting sustainability through beekeeping and honey production. Education is the key to equipping me with the entrepreneurial skills needed to turn this vision into a thriving reality. Through all the challenges, my children have been my greatest source of inspiration. I want them to see that it’s never too late to chase your dreams. They’ve watched me study after long shifts, attend classes, and tackle assignments while balancing family life. This experience has been a lesson in perseverance for all of us, showing them that determination and hard work can overcome any obstacle. This scholarship would make a significant difference in my journey. It would alleviate some of the financial burdens of tuition and supplies, allowing me to focus more on my education and less on the constant worry of making ends meet. It’s not just about achieving my goals but also about setting an example for others in my community, especially women and parents who feel like their time has passed. My return to education is about more than earning a degree; it’s about redefining possibilities. It’s about showing my children, and anyone watching, that challenges don’t define you—your response to them does. With the support of this scholarship, I will continue striving toward my goals, building a better future for my family, and creating a positive impact in the world.

My journey into entrepreneurship began with a vision: creating something meaningful while making a difference in my community. As a woman of color and a hardworking mother of four, I have spent 16 years working in manufacturing, performing grueling 12-hour overnight shifts in non-climate-controlled environments. These experiences shaped my resilience, taught me the value of perseverance, and fueled my determination to carve out a better future—not just for myself but for my family and community. I graduated high school in 2000, and since then, life has been a balance of working hard to support my family and navigating challenges. The manufacturing industry, while providing stability, has been physically demanding and often left little room for personal growth. Over time, I realized the need to create a path that allowed me to build something lasting while moving away from the physical toll of the shop floor. This realization sparked my interest in entrepreneurship. The inspiration for my business idea stems from my passion for sustainability and nature. I envision a beekeeping enterprise that not only produces high-quality honey and beeswax products but also fosters ecological balance by supporting local pollination. Bees are vital to our ecosystem, aiding in the growth of plants, flowers, and crops. Through this venture, I hope to educate others about the importance of pollinators while creating opportunities for people like me who dream of entrepreneurship but lack traditional resources. My business, “T’s Bees @ Honey Bee Well,” represents more than a financial venture; it symbolizes empowerment and growth. I want this business to serve as a platform to inspire others from marginalized backgrounds, showing them that success is possible through dedication and innovation. The beekeeping industry has tremendous potential to contribute to the health of our planet while providing economic opportunities. My goal is to connect my business with local farmers, gardeners, and educators to promote awareness of the importance of bees and their role in maintaining a thriving ecosystem. What sets “T’s Bees” apart is its commitment to sustainability and community impact. Beyond honey and beeswax, I envision expanding the business to include products that support eco-friendly living and local partnerships that advocate for environmental conservation. A portion of my profits will be dedicated to addressing homelessness in Oklahoma, demonstrating that business success can go hand-in-hand with making a meaningful difference in society. Pursuing higher education is a critical step toward realizing this dream. This scholarship will allow me to continue my education, equipping me with the business acumen, strategic planning, and leadership skills necessary to grow my business sustainably and effectively. Courses in business management, environmental science, and marketing will provide the knowledge I need to make my vision a reality. These skills will enable me to navigate challenges confidently and adapt to the evolving needs of both my business and the communities I aim to serve. Education is not just a tool for personal advancement; it is a gateway to becoming an agent of change. By furthering my education, I can move beyond the intense physical demands of manufacturing and transition to a role that allows me to focus on creating opportunities for others. As I pursue this entrepreneurial path, I want to serve as a role model, particularly for women and underrepresented minorities, proving that resilience and passion can lead to success, no matter the obstacles. Ultimately, my goal is to build a legacy that blends economic growth with social impact. By nurturing my beekeeping business, I aim to contribute to the health of our environment, inspire others to pursue their passions, and create a ripple effect of positive change. This scholarship is not just financial support—it is an investment in a vision to uplift communities, foster sustainability, and celebrate the power of resilience.

Attribute I Embody the Most: I Thrive with an Indomitable Will. Throughout my life, I have faced challenges that could have easily broken my spirit. However, my indomitable will has carried me through moments of adversity and propelled me toward my goals. Working as a welder in the manufacturing industry, I often found myself as one of the only women and the only woman of color in the shop. The physical demands of the job, combined with the mental strain of navigating a male-dominated space, pushed me to the limits of my strength and resilience. Yet, I never allowed these challenges to define my potential or limit my aspirations. My willpower has been my compass, guiding me as I balance working 12-hour shifts in non-climate-controlled environments with raising a family and returning to school after nearly 25 years. Every time I felt overwhelmed, I reminded myself why I started: to provide a better future for my children and to create opportunities for myself that extend beyond the shop floor. This unwavering determination to rise above my circumstances has become my greatest asset. It fuels my passion for personal growth and inspires others to persevere, even when the odds seem insurmountable. I embody this attribute daily by pushing past limitations, embracing hard work, and staying committed to my vision of success. My ability to thrive despite obstacles is not only a reflection of my strength but also a testament to the power of will in shaping one’s destiny. I believe that thriving with an indomitable will means facing every challenge head-on and emerging stronger on the other side. Attribute for Improvement: Prioritize and Manage Time While my determination has been a driving force in my life, I recognize that my greatest area for growth lies in prioritizing and managing my time effectively. Balancing the demands of work, school, and family often feels like a juggling act, and there are moments when I feel stretched too thin. As someone who tends to take on multiple responsibilities simultaneously, I sometimes struggle with allocating my time in a way that maximizes productivity and reduces stress. To address this, I have committed to developing strategies that will help me manage my time more efficiently. One step I have taken is creating a detailed weekly schedule that outlines my work shifts, study sessions, and family time. I also use tools such as digital calendars and task management apps to stay organized and ensure deadlines are met. Additionally, I am learning to set boundaries and say no to commitments that detract from my primary goals. Another key part of my plan is seeking mentorship from individuals who excel in time management. I believe learning from others’ experiences and incorporating their advice can provide valuable insights into creating a balanced and sustainable routine. Improving my ability to prioritize and manage time is not just about increasing productivity—it is about creating space for growth, self-care, and the pursuit of my passions. By refining this skill, I will enhance my ability to achieve my goals, serve my community, and inspire those around me to do the same.

As a first-generation college student and an individual from an underrepresented minority, I understand the significance of education as a tool to break generational cycles and pave the way for a brighter future. Growing up in a low-income household, I witnessed firsthand the struggles that accompany financial instability and limited opportunities. My parents worked tirelessly to provide for our family, but the thought of pursuing higher education was often overshadowed by the immediate need to make ends meet. After high school, life’s responsibilities took center stage. I spent the past 25 years raising four children while working in manufacturing as a welder fitter. My job requires long, overnight shifts in non-climate-controlled conditions, performing backbreaking labor that has become increasingly difficult with age. While I take pride in my work, I also recognize that it’s time to invest in myself and create a path that allows me to transition to a career aligned with my long-term aspirations and passions. Returning to college after such a long gap is both challenging and rewarding. My goal is to earn a degree that will not only enhance my knowledge and skills but also provide me with the qualifications needed to move up from the shop floor into roles that focus on leadership, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. Specifically, I am passionate about beekeeping and its potential to contribute to environmental sustainability, food security, and community education. This scholarship will allow me to continue my education, equipping me with the tools to develop a sustainable business model that integrates beekeeping into larger ecological efforts. Education is more than a personal milestone—it is a way to inspire my children and others in my community to pursue their dreams, no matter the obstacles. By earning a degree, I hope to demonstrate that it’s never too late to start again and that perseverance, coupled with opportunity, can lead to transformative change. As someone who has experienced financial hardships and juggled the roles of a parent, employee, and student, I am deeply committed to using my experiences to mentor others who feel that their dreams are out of reach. This scholarship would relieve some of the financial burden of pursuing higher education and allow me to focus on my studies without the constant worry of how to make ends meet. It will help me develop the entrepreneurial skills and academic foundation necessary to create a business that not only supports my family but also contributes meaningfully to society. My vision is to turn my passion for sustainability and beekeeping into a platform that educates others about the importance of pollinators while providing practical solutions for environmental challenges. Receiving this scholarship would be an incredible step forward in my journey, giving me the support and confidence to turn my aspirations into reality. Ray W Bausick Green Industry Memorial Scholarship
As someone who has spent years working in manufacturing and dreaming of a life that combines sustainability with creativity, I have always been passionate about making a difference in the environment. My journey has led me to explore beekeeping as a vital contribution not only to the natural world but also to the landscape industry. Beekeeping is more than a hobby for me—it is a purposeful way to enhance pollination, support biodiversity, and promote the health of flowers, trees, and plants that are crucial to vibrant landscapes and ecosystems. The landscape industry thrives on the beauty and health of its natural components, yet many overlook the critical role that pollinators like bees play in maintaining this balance. Bees are essential for the pollination of plants, ensuring that gardens, parks, and natural spaces flourish. Without them, the ecosystem would face severe challenges, impacting not just aesthetics but also agricultural and environmental sustainability. My beekeeping efforts are focused on fostering healthier hives that can contribute directly to the success of the landscape industry. By increasing pollination rates, my work can help ensure that plants grow stronger and more resilient, leading to healthier landscapes and a more sustainable future. I am deeply passionate about this work because I believe that small, intentional actions can create ripple effects of change. Caring for bees and understanding their vital role has given me a new perspective on how interconnected the environment is. Each flower they pollinate, each tree they touch, and each plant they help thrive contributes to a broader ecosystem that benefits us all. Through my contributions, I hope to create a more harmonious relationship between humanity and nature. With this scholarship, I plan to further my education in environmental sustainability and entrepreneurial studies, equipping myself with the knowledge and skills to expand my beekeeping efforts and make a greater impact. Education will provide me with the tools to collaborate with landscaping professionals, introduce innovative pollination solutions, and raise awareness about the importance of bees in maintaining healthy ecosystems. My ultimate goal is to combine beekeeping with community outreach, teaching others about how they can support pollinators in their own spaces, from small gardens to large landscapes. The landscape industry is more than just an opportunity for economic growth—it is a chance to heal the earth and create sustainable beauty for future generations. My contribution as a beekeeper, combined with the education this scholarship will support, will allow me to play a significant role in shaping a more sustainable and thriving landscape ecosystem. I am honored to dedicate myself to this vision and to be a part of a movement that values the essential role of nature’s smallest workers in achieving greatness.

Returning to college after nearly 25 years has been one of the most challenging yet rewarding decisions of my life. My inspiration to continue my education stems from my deep desire to create a better future for myself and my family. After spending over a decade working long overnight shifts as a welder-fitter, often in harsh and physically demanding conditions, I knew I needed to take steps toward a career that would allow me to grow, both personally and professionally. As a mother of four, my journey has been anything but easy. Balancing the responsibilities of raising a family while working grueling hours often felt like walking a tightrope. My days were filled with early mornings preparing my children for school, followed by long nights on the shop floor in non-climate-controlled conditions. There were moments of exhaustion so overwhelming that it felt impossible to think about adding school to my already full plate. But I realized that if I didn’t make a change, I’d be sacrificing my long-term well-being and the opportunity to show my children the value of perseverance and self-improvement. The obstacles I’ve faced have been significant. Adjusting to the demands of academic life after such a long time away from school has been daunting. Technology has changed, expectations are higher, and balancing coursework with my job and family requires meticulous time management. Additionally, the financial strain of pursuing higher education has been a challenge, but I view it as an investment in a brighter future. The physical toll of my work, coupled with the desire to transition into a career less reliant on intense labor, keeps me motivated to push through these difficulties. Managing my roles as both a student and a mother requires careful planning and unwavering determination. I’ve learned to create a schedule that prioritizes my children’s needs while carving out dedicated time for studying. Late nights have become my time to focus on coursework, and weekends are an opportunity to catch up on both family time and assignments. It’s a balancing act, but knowing that I’m working toward a better future for my family keeps me going. This scholarship would be a critical part of my journey, easing the financial burden and allowing me to focus on my education. It’s not just about earning a degree—it’s about gaining the knowledge and skills needed to transition into a career that aligns with my passions and long-term goals. My dream of becoming a beekeeper represents a new chapter in my life, one that combines sustainability, entrepreneurship, and a connection to nature. Continuing my education is about more than just me. It’s about breaking the cycle of hardship and showing my children—and myself—that it’s never too late to rewrite your story. Through hard work, resilience, and the support of opportunities like this scholarship, I am confident I can achieve my goals and inspire others to do the same.

Adversity has been a constant presence in my life, but nowhere is it more real than in my job. As a woman in the welding industry, and often the only woman—and a woman of color—in the shop, I face challenges that test my strength and resilience daily. The work itself is physically demanding, but the mental and emotional toll of breaking barriers in a male-dominated field adds an extra layer of complexity. From the moment I stepped onto the shop floor, I knew I was entering a world that wasn’t built for me. Doubts and assumptions often shadowed my skills. I’ve heard remarks questioning my capabilities, felt the stares that came with every task I performed, and fought against the underlying expectation that I had to prove myself every single day. There were moments when the pressure felt overwhelming, but I reminded myself of why I chose this path. I’m here not only for myself but to pave the way for others who look like me or dream of working in a field where they aren’t traditionally represented. Overcoming adversity at work has shaped me in profound ways. It’s taught me the importance of perseverance and self-belief. I’ve learned to let my work speak louder than the stereotypes and to take pride in each weld, knowing that my skill and dedication are undeniable. These experiences have also strengthened my leadership skills. By mentoring new welders and being a supportive presence for others who face similar challenges, I’ve found purpose in encouraging those who might otherwise feel defeated by adversity. My advice to anyone facing similar circumstances is to remember their worth and why they started. There will always be obstacles, but each one you overcome adds to your strength and character. Surround yourself with people who uplift you, and never stop believing that you belong. Adversity is not a reflection of your limitations but an opportunity to rise above them. Every day, I am reminded that I am not just a welder . I have a purpose greater than welding metal; I am welding together dreams , resilience, and opportunities to give my children a better life than I was able to live. The work I do goes beyond the shop floor—it’s about breaking barriers, rewriting narratives, and showing others that may have circumstances like mines they, too, can overcome adversity . I am grateful to be able to work towards fulfilling my goals and not being afraid of failure . Although adversity continues to be part of my life. I am confident that I can still be successful.

My name is Tiffany Wells, and my life has been a testament to perseverance, faith, and resilience. Growing up in a family that faced many financial challenges, I saw my mother tirelessly battling mental illness and depression while relying on welfare to make ends meet, and my father struggled with alcoholism. These early experiences shaped my understanding of hardship but also instilled in me a deep drive to overcome circumstances and build a better life. They taught me the value of hard work, the importance of faith in God and the necessity of hope, even when the odds seemed stacked against me. Escaping that situation was not only a physical battle but also an emotional and spiritual one. Rebuilding my life after such an experience required courage and strength I didn’t know I had. My four children became my greatest motivators during that time. I knew I had to be strong for them, to show them that resilience and faith could carry us through even the toughest circumstances. I wanted to break the cycles of pain and struggle, not just for myself but for the future generations of my family. Now, as a mother and student . my pursuit of higher education is deeply personal. A Foundation of Strength: How Welding Shaped My Passion for Helping Others Welding is more than a skill; it is a craft that requires precision, patience, and dedication. Over the years, my journey as a welder has taught me invaluable lessons about hard work, creativity, and teamwork. It has also shown me the importance of fostering a sense of purpose not just in my work, but in the way I interact with others and help them grow. My path as a welder has been anything but conventional. As a woman and the only woman of color in the shop I have faced my share of challenges. Walking into a male-dominated field wasn’t easy. There were times when I felt overlooked, underestimated, or even doubted. Early on, I had to work harder than my peers to prove my capabilities, earning respect not only for my technical skills but also for my commitment to excellence. At times, it was isolating to be the only one who looked like me in the room, but those moments became opportunities to show my strength . Rather than letting those challenges discourage me, I used each experience to fuel my determination, proving to myself and others that I belonged in this field. I sought out mentors, honed my craft, and demonstrated through my work that I could handle the pressure and succeed under any circumstances. Over time, I not only gained the respect of my peers but also inspired other women to enter and thrive in the trades. Welding has not only honed my technical skills but also instilled in me a sense of responsibility and leadership. I’ve had the privilege of mentoring younger welders, guiding them as they navigate their careers. Teaching others has become one of the most rewarding aspects of my journey. I believe in empowering people to discover their potential and achieve their goals, whether in welding or any other pursuit. Seeing someone grow in confidence and skill because of my support is a feeling that motivates me every day. Beyond my career, the discipline I’ve gained from welding has deeply influenced my personal life. I’ve learned to approach challenges with focus , and I’ve found ways to apply this mindset to community service. I enjoy sharing my knowledge through workshops and encouraging young people, especially women, to pursue trades and break barriers. By offering encouragement and demonstrating what’s possible, I hope to inspire others to see the trades as a viable and fulfilling career path. My purpose has always been rooted in service to others. Whether it’s through teaching, mentoring, or simply being a source of encouragement, I aim to use my skills to uplift those around me. Welding may be my craft, but helping others discover their own strength is my calling. This passion fuels my desire to continue growing. Through my education and future aspirations, I plan to expand my ability to mentor and provide opportunities for others. Whether it’s creating programs for underserved communities or using my experiences to advocate for equality in the trades, I am committed to using what I’ve learned to help others become their best selves. Just as welding transforms individual pieces into something unified and strong, I hope my efforts can help build a stronger, more supportive community . This scholarship would help me further my education, enabling me to deepen my skills and extend my reach as a mentor and leader. It represents more than financial assistance it is a chance to amplify the values that welding has instilled in me and to continue turning challenges into opportunities for growth and empowerment.

A Journey of Resilience and Purpose Life has taught me resilience through its challenges and purpose through its opportunities. As a first-generation college student, I have faced hurdles that shaped my personal values, career aspirations, and unwavering commitment to serving my community. Choosing to pursue higher education at this stage in my life is a testament to my belief that it is never too late to rewrite your story, no matter how difficult the past has been. I grew up in a family that struggled to make ends meet. My mother relied on welfare to provide for our basic needs, and my father battled alcoholism, creating a tumultuous environment. Despite these challenges, I found strength in my faith and a determination to create a different path for myself. These early experiences taught me the importance of perseverance, compassion, and the desire to create a better future not only for myself but for those around me. My journey took a pivotal turn when I survived a violent first marriage. That chapter in my life was one of the hardest, yet it also became the foundation for my strength and empathy. It instilled in me a deep commitment to helping others who face similar struggles. I’ve since made it my mission to inspire hope in those who feel trapped by their circumstances and to show them that brighter days are possible. These life experiences have inspired my passion for sustainability and community service. I dream of one day building a sustainable business perhaps through agriculture or beekeeping that can address environmental challenges while providing opportunities and resources to underserved communities. My goal is to create something that not only supports my family but also empowers others to rise above their circumstances. My commitment to giving back runs deep. Whether volunteering with organizations that support survivors of domestic violence or offering encouragement to those in need, I’ve seen how small acts of kindness can spark profound change. These moments remind me of the power of community and the importance of using my experiences to make a meaningful difference. This scholarship would be a critical step in helping me achieve my goals. It would provide the financial relief I need to focus on my education and reduce the burden of balancing work, family, and school. Completing my degree will allow me to break the cycle of poverty that has defined so much of my family’s history, setting an example for my children and others in my community. Through my journey, I’ve learned that challenges can shape us, but they don’t have to define us. I intend to use my education to create sustainable solutions that benefit not only my family but also my community and beyond. This scholarship represents more than financial support it is an investment in a vision to inspire hope, build resilience, and leave a lasting positive impact in my family and to my legacy.

The Potential of Wind Turbine Technology Wind turbine technology inspires me because it is a perfect example of how innovation can harness nature’s power to create sustainable solutions. At Valmont, where I work at the Tulsa plant making utility poles and substations, I have seen firsthand how technology and infrastructure shape the world around us. While my location focuses on essential utilities, other Valmont plants are involved in creating water irrigation systems and wind turbines, which motivates me to dream about how technology can contribute to a cleaner, more sustainable future. Wind turbines are particularly inspiring because they transform a natural, renewable resource—the wind—into electricity that powers homes, schools, and industries. What makes them so impactful is their potential to significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions while creating energy independence for communities around the world. As climate change becomes a pressing global concern, wind energy offers a solution that is both scalable and eco-friendly. What I admire most about wind turbine technology is its ability to create jobs, provide clean energy, and make rural areas more self-sufficient. It excites me to think that Valmont contributes to this global movement by manufacturing structures that support these transformative technologies. Knowing that my work plays a small role in creating the infrastructure for sustainable energy fills me with pride and hope for the future. Wind turbines inspire me to believe that a better, more sustainable world is achievable. They represent what is possible when innovation meets purpose—how a simple gust of wind can be transformed into something powerful enough to illuminate entire cities. Working for a company that values sustainability has made me think more deeply about the importance of renewable energy, and I am committed to doing my part to support clean energy solutions .

navigating Offense: A Pathway to Spiritual Growth In The Bait of Satan, John Bevere shares a profound truth: “Trials in this life will expose what is in your heart, whether the offense toward God or others, trials will purify and prepare you for your future in Him. If you pass the test, your roots will shoot down deeper, stabilizing you and preparing you to flourish in the years ahead. If you fail, you become offended, which can lead to defilement and bitterness. How you handle your offense determines your future.” This passage resonates deeply with me because I have faced trials that tested my heart, especially during the most difficult chapter of my life—my first marriage, which was marked by domestic abuse. During that time, my life felt shattered. The abuse left me broken physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I felt betrayed, not just by my husband but by life itself. I often questioned why God allowed me to endure such pain and suffering. The wounds from that experience ran deep, and for a long time, I carried bitterness—not just toward my abuser but also toward God. I couldn’t understand why He hadn’t rescued me sooner, why I had to endure so much heartbreak and fear. Looking back now, I see that I was at a crossroads. I could let the offense and bitterness take root, or I could release it to God. At the time, holding onto the anger felt justified; it seemed like the only way to protect myself. But as Bevere points out, offense can defile us, and I began to feel the weight of that truth. My heart was heavy with anger and pain, and it was affecting every area of my life. I wasn’t just hurt; I was stuck. It wasn’t until I made the choice to surrender the offense to God that true healing began. Forgiving my abuser wasn’t easy; it felt like letting go of the only control I had left. But through prayer and God’s grace, I realized that forgiveness wasn’t about excusing the abuse—it was about freeing myself from the grip it had on my heart. It was about trusting God to bring justice and healing in His time. As I began to release the bitterness, I noticed a change in myself. The pain didn’t disappear overnight, but my perspective shifted. I started to see how God was using that season of suffering to prepare me for something greater. Bevere’s words about “roots shooting deeper” became real to me. Just as a tree grows stronger during a storm by digging deeper for stability, I found that my faith was growing in ways I never expected. The trials had pushed me closer to God, and my relationship with Him became my source of strength. That experience taught me that trials don’t define us—our responses do. I could have allowed the bitterness to consume me, but instead, I chose to trust that God had a purpose for my pain. And He did. He used that painful chapter to show me the importance of resilience, forgiveness, and faith. Today, I use my story to encourage others who may feel trapped or broken. I remind them that healing is possible and that God can bring beauty from even the darkest places. Bevere’s message also helped me understand that offense is a choice. It’s easy to let anger and resentment take root, but doing so only robs us of the future God has planned. By releasing the offense, I found freedom—not just from my past but from the fear of it controlling my future. I learned to trust God’s process, even when it was painful, knowing that He was building something far greater in me than I could see at the time. My story is one of God’s redemption and grace. The trials I faced during my first marriage exposed what was in my heart, but they also gave me the opportunity to grow deeper in faith. They taught me that pain has a purpose and that forgiveness is the key to moving forward. As Bevere so powerfully states, “How you handle your offense determines your future.” That truth has shaped my life and continues to guide me as I walk in freedom and faith. Works Cited Bevere, John. Understanding the Universe: Finding Our Place The universe has always been a source of wonder for me. I’ve often found myself looking up at the stars, feeling a mixture of awe and curiosity. How do we fit into such an enormous, mysterious world? These moments remind me of how little we truly know and how much there is to discover. I believe understanding the nature of our universe is essential—not only to answer the big questions but also to help us better care for our planet and one another. For me, learning about the universe starts right here on Earth. One example is the importance of pollinators like bees. Bees may seem small and insignificant, but they play a huge role in maintaining the balance of our environment. Without them, many plants wouldn’t grow, and our food systems would suffer. Realizing how interconnected life is—from the smallest bee to the largest galaxy—helps me see that everything we do has an impact. It’s a humbling thought, but it’s also empowering. By understanding these connections, we can make better choices to protect what matters most. This desire to understand the universe isn’t just about curiosity—it’s about responsibility. I want my children to grow up in a world where nature thrives, where we take care of our planet and each other. I think about the damage we’ve done through pollution and climate change, and it breaks my heart. But I also believe in hope. Every step we take to learn more about our world, from studying ecosystems to exploring space, gives us the tools to fix what’s broken and build a brighter future. If I had the opportunity, I’d focus on helping others see the beauty and importance of the world around us. Education is one of the most powerful tools we have. I dream of creating programs that teach kids and adults how the natural world works and why it matters. Whether it’s showing someone how bees pollinate flowers or explaining how small daily choices reduce waste, I believe that understanding inspires action. When people feel connected to something, they want to protect it. To me, working to understand the universe is also about finding purpose. It’s about realizing that we are all part of something much bigger than ourselves. Every time we discover something new—whether it’s a breakthrough in science or a better way to care for the Earth—it’s a reminder that we are capable of so much good when we work together. It’s proof that even the smallest actions, like planting a tree or teaching a child about pollinators, can make a difference. Understanding the universe is not just for scientists or astronauts—it’s for everyone. It’s about learning how to live in harmony with the world around us and leaving it better for future generations. I hope to play my part by learning, teaching, and inspiring others to care for our planet and embrace the wonders of this universe we all have to share.

Living Sustainably for a Better Tomorrow Sustainability is not just a concept; it’s a responsibility I take seriously in my daily life. As someone who is deeply aware of the impact our choices have on the environment, I strive to make intentional decisions to reduce my carbon footprint. While these efforts may seem small on their own, I believe that collectively, they can lead to meaningful change for our planet and future generations. One of the key ways I live sustainably is by reducing waste in my household. I prioritize recycling and reusing items whenever possible, ensuring that less ends up in landfills. Additionally, I make conscious choices to purchase items with minimal packaging or opt for reusable alternatives, such as cloth bags and water bottles. These small changes in my routine have not only reduced waste but also helped instill sustainable habits in my children, who are learning the importance of protecting the environment. Another significant way I contribute to sustainability is through my passion for beekeeping. Bees play a critical role in maintaining healthy ecosystems and are vital to pollinating the crops that feed us. By nurturing bees and creating a supportive environment for them to thrive, I actively help combat the decline in pollinator populations caused by climate change and human activity. Beekeeping is not just a hobby for me; it is a tangible way to make a difference. I also use it as an opportunity to educate others about the importance of pollinators and inspire them to take small actions that support environmental health. In addition to beekeeping, I focus on conserving energy and water in my household. Simple but effective measures like turning off lights when leaving a room, using energy-efficient appliances, and encouraging my family to take shorter showers have lowered our household’s energy consumption. These efforts not only reduce the strain on natural resources but also set an example for my children about living mindfully and responsibly. Supporting local and sustainable food sources is another way I contribute to a healthier planet. By purchasing produce from local farmers’ markets, I minimize the environmental impact of transporting food over long distances. This practice not only supports local businesses but also helps reduce carbon emissions associated with shipping and packaging. Additionally, I make an effort to reduce food waste by planning meals carefully and repurposing leftovers. I believe reducing our carbon footprint is crucial for addressing the climate crisis and ensuring a sustainable future. The effects of climate change are becoming increasingly evident, from extreme weather events to the loss of biodiversity. By making small, intentional changes in our daily lives, we can collectively reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate the impact of global warming. It is our responsibility to protect the planet for future generations, and every action, no matter how small, contributes to that goal. For me, living sustainably is about more than just reducing my carbon footprint; it’s about setting an example for others, particularly my children. By teaching them the importance of caring for the environment and showing them that even small actions can make a big difference, I hope to inspire them to carry these values forward. Sustainability is a journey, and I am committed to continuing to learn and implement new practices that contribute to a healthier, greener world. Every intentional choice I make, including nurturing pollinators and reducing waste, reflects my belief that we all have a role to play in protecting our planet. Through beekeeping, conserving resources, and supporting local food systems, I am doing my part to create a better tomorrow.

Breaking Generational Cycles Through Education As a first-generation college student and a working mother, my life has been a delicate balancing act between work, school, and raising my children. My journey is about more than earning a degree; it’s about rewriting the story of my family and breaking the generational cycle of financial struggle. For years, I have worked tirelessly in physically demanding jobs to support my family, often sacrificing time with my children in the process. While these sacrifices weigh heavy on my heart, I know they are for a greater purpose. The thought of becoming debt-free gives me hope for a better future for my family. Currently, I work long hours, often picking up 12-hour shifts to ensure my children have the necessities they need. It hurts me deeply to miss out on so many moments in their lives—school events, bedtime stories, and just being there for them when they need me most. I carry the guilt of not being as present as I want to be, but I remind myself that the hard work I am putting in now will pave the way for a brighter future for all of us. Education has always been a dream of mine, but it also represents something much bigger. Earning my degree is my way of showing my children that they don’t have to settle for less. It’s my promise to them that I will break the cycle of working low-paying, dead-end jobs just to survive. My children are my biggest motivation, and every time I feel exhausted or overwhelmed, I think about the example I’m setting for them. I want them to see that perseverance, determination, and faith can overcome any obstacle. Receiving this scholarship would change everything for me. It would lighten the heavy financial burden of student loans, allowing me to focus more on my studies and spend more time with my children. Instead of taking on extra shifts, I could use that time to make memories with them—memories that I have been missing out on for far too long. This scholarship would mean fewer sacrifices and more opportunities to be the mother they deserve. It would also give me the chance to invest in the things we sometimes have to go without, ensuring my children have the stability and security they need to thrive. The thought of becoming debt-free fills me with hope and relief. The money I save from paying down student loans would allow me to build a future where I am no longer tied to financial stress. It would give me the freedom to focus on my career goals, provide a better quality of life for my children, and ensure that they have opportunities I never had growing up. More importantly, it would give me the chance to show them what it means to dream big and achieve those dreams through hard work and dedication. This scholarship represents more than financial support; it represents freedom. Freedom to be there for my children, freedom to focus on my education, and freedom to build a better life for my family. I am determined to break the cycle of struggle, and with this scholarship, I can take a step closer to that dream.

Planting Seeds for a Better Future I am a first-generation college student living in Oklahoma, pursuing my dream of making a positive impact on the world through farming and agriculture. Although I grew up in Los Angeles, California, a city far removed from open fields and farmland, my passion for agriculture began as a small child. I’ve always been fascinated by the connection between the earth, the food we eat, and the communities it nourishes. Now, living in Oklahoma, I am closer than ever to turning my childhood dream into a reality. Farming has always represented more than a career to me; it’s a way of life that emphasizes hard work, sustainability, and community. My dream is to build a beekeeping business, “T’s Bee’s @ Honey Bee Well,” that not only produces honey and beeswax products but also promotes environmental conservation and sustainability. Through this venture, I aim to educate others about the importance of pollinators and inspire more people to support sustainable agricultural practices. Protecting our environment is a responsibility I hold dear, and I believe agriculture has a vital role in creating a healthier planet for future generations. My involvement in farming and agriculture has already taught me valuable lessons about resilience and the importance of community. Working with plants, animals, and now learning about pollinator health has shown me that small, consistent efforts can yield incredible results. These lessons extend beyond the land and into my personal life, where I apply patience, perseverance, and hard work to achieve my goals. Through my future endeavors, I plan to make a lasting impact on my community. I envision creating programs that combine education and agriculture to teach others about sustainability, including workshops for children and adults on topics such as planting pollinator-friendly gardens and preserving natural resources. Additionally, I want my business to give back to the community by donating a portion of its profits to local causes, such as homelessness programs and environmental clean-up efforts. This scholarship will help me achieve the skills and knowledge needed to bring my vision to life. With the right tools and education, I can build a business that strengthens my community, uplifts others, and leaves a lasting impact on the environment. Agriculture is more than my dream; it’s my way of giving back to my community and creating legacy for my children and future generations while overcoming the obstacles that have kept me in poverty through lack of education and resources.

Using My Voice to Build a Stronger Community Standing up for what is right, even in the face of challenges, is a value that has guided me throughout my life. Like Mohamed Magdi Taha, I believe in the power of compassion, advocacy, and using one’s voice to create meaningful change. My journey has been shaped by overcoming personal obstacles and using those experiences to uplift others. As an “up-stander,” I am committed to building a community rooted in resilience, support, and shared purpose. My own life experiences have taught me the importance of standing up for myself and others. As someone who has overcome significant challenges, including hearing loss and the trauma of domestic violence, I have learned that strength lies in taking action and refusing to be silenced. These experiences have fueled my passion for helping others who may feel voiceless or powerless. I often use my story to inspire those around me, showing that even the smallest acts of courage can have a ripple effect. One way I am already an “up-stander” is by mentoring others in my professional field as a welder. In a male-dominated industry, I have worked hard to carve out a place for myself and help other women do the same. I advocate for equality and inclusivity in the workplace, encouraging women and minorities to pursue careers in fields where they are underrepresented. By sharing my experiences and offering guidance, I aim to empower others to overcome their barriers and realize their potential. Looking ahead, I plan to use my voice and platform to create a sustainable beekeeping business, “T’s Bee’s @ Honey Bee Well.” This venture is not only a personal dream but also a way to give back to my community. My business will focus on protecting pollinators, raising environmental awareness, and educating others on sustainability. Beyond the products, a portion of the profits will go toward supporting local initiatives, including programs for the homeless and workshops that teach skills for personal and professional growth. Through these efforts, I hope to strengthen my community and provide opportunities for those who need them most. Building a strong community requires both small and big actions, and I aim to do both. Whether it’s offering a helping hand to someone in need, creating educational opportunities, or advocating for systemic change, I believe every effort matters. Inspired by Mohamed Magdi Taha’s legacy, I will continue to use my voice to stand up for others and create a positive, lasting impact.

Making Mental Health Care Affordable and Accessible Mental health care is an issue deeply personal to me. My mother has struggled with mental illness for years, and even now, finding affordable and quality care remains an uphill battle. Witnessing her experience has shown me the gaps in our mental health system, especially for those who lack financial resources or access to proper support. It has also fueled my passion to contribute to meaningful change in this area. One way I could contribute is by creating community-based programs that offer affordable care options. These programs would combine professional mental health services with peer support and education. By providing sliding-scale fees and working with local organizations, these programs could reach underserved populations who often feel excluded from traditional care. I could also advocate for mental health education in schools and workplaces, helping to reduce the stigma and encourage people to seek help earlier. Another contribution I would make is exploring ways to integrate mental health resources into other community spaces, such as places of worship, schools, or even local businesses. This would help make mental health care less intimidating and more accessible for individuals who may not feel comfortable seeking traditional therapy. By drawing from my personal experience, passion, and education, I hope to help create a system that prioritizes compassion, accessibility, and affordability. Mental health care should be a right, not a privilege, and I am determined to contribute to a world where everyone can access the support they need.

Persevering Through Adversity to Achieve My Dreams Adversity has been a constant part of my journey, but it has shaped me into the resilient, determined individual I am today. From dealing with hearing loss to overcoming the trauma of domestic violence, I have faced challenges that tested me physically, emotionally, and mentally. Despite these obstacles, I remain steadfast in my pursuit of a brighter future for myself, my family, and my community. Through faith, hard work, and strategic action, I have taken meaningful steps to achieve my career aspirations and turn my dreams into reality. When I was confronted with hearing loss, it presented a unique challenge in both my personal and professional life. As a welder in a male-dominated field, communication is critical, and I had to adapt quickly to ensure I could succeed in my work environment. I sought out tools and resources, like hearing aids and communication strategies, to overcome this barrier. Additionally, I leaned on my faith, using prayer and reflection to stay grounded and motivated. This experience taught me the importance of resourcefulness and adaptability, qualities that I carry with me into every challenge I face. Another significant obstacle was escaping domestic violence and rebuilding my life. This experience was one of the most difficult chapters of my journey, but it also became a turning point. I made the decision to leave that environment, knowing it would require courage and strength. I sought support from local organizations, leaned on my faith, and focused on creating a better future for my children. This period of my life reinforced my resilience and reminded me that I am capable of overcoming even the toughest circumstances. In pursuing my career goals, I have taken concrete steps to ensure my success. I enrolled in college as a first-generation student, committing to earning a business degree that will equip me with the skills to achieve my entrepreneurial aspirations. My ultimate goal is to launch “T’s Bee’s @ Honey Bee Well,” a sustainable beekeeping business that focuses on producing honey, protecting pollinators, and giving back to the community. To prepare for this venture, I’ve researched the beekeeping industry, attended workshops on sustainability, and sought mentorship from local entrepreneurs. These steps are laying the foundation for a business that reflects my values of service, resilience, and environmental stewardship. Each challenge I have faced has taught me valuable lessons that fuel my determination to succeed. Adversity has given me a deeper sense of purpose, inspiring me to not only overcome my own obstacles but also help others do the same. I plan to use my future business as a platform to mentor women and minorities, create jobs, and support local initiatives like programs for the homeless. My journey is proof that with perseverance and faith, it is possible to rise above even the most difficult circumstances and create a life of meaning and impact. This scholarship would be a crucial step in helping me continue my education and achieve my career goals. It represents not just financial support but also a validation of the hard work and sacrifices I’ve made to get to this point. With this opportunity, I will continue to turn adversity into opportunity, paving the way for a brighter future for myself, my family.

Why Education Matters to Me Education is one of the most important things in my life. It’s not just about learning facts it’s about opening doors to new opportunities, helping me grow as a person, and giving me the tools to succeed. As a mom, a welder, and someone who dreams of starting my own business, I’ve seen how education can change lives in powerful ways. Education has helped me overcome challenges in my career. As a woman working in welding, I’ve faced tough situations, like dealing with stereotypes and having to prove myself in a male-dominated field. At times, it felt like I didn’t belong, but the training I received gave me the skills and confidence I needed to succeed. The knowledge I gained allowed me to stand out in my field and even mentor others who face similar struggles. Education has taught me that with hard work and the right tools, I can do things I never thought possible. Education has also been a huge part of my role as a parent. As a mom, I want to set an example for my children. I want them to see how important it is to never stop learning and to keep working toward their goals, even when it’s hard. Balancing school, work, and family hasn’t been easy, but it has taught me to manage my time and stay focused. More importantly, it has shown my children that education is the key to making dreams come true. When they see me working hard for my education, I hope it inspires them to believe in themselves and work hard for their future. Education is also helping me prepare for my future goals. I dream of starting a beekeeping business and a coffee truck that will serve my community and help make a difference. The things I’m learning now like business management and planning will help me turn those dreams into reality. I want my business to not only provide for my family but also give back to the community. I hope to use what I’ve learned to support causes I care about, like environmental awareness and helping those in need. In my life, education has been the foundation for growth and opportunity. It has helped me overcome challenges, inspired me to work harder, and shown me that anything is possible with the right mindset. Most importantly, education has taught me that learning never ends. It’s a tool that will always help me grow and achieve my dreams, no matter where life takes me.

Resilience, Community, and Encouragement One of the most significant problems I’ve faced in my life was navigating the challenges of working in a male-dominated field as a professional welder while raising a family. When I began my career, I encountered skepticism and bias simply because I didn’t fit the traditional mold of what people expected in my trade. Balancing the demands of my work, raising my children, and pursuing personal growth required perseverance and faith. There were days when the pressure felt overwhelming, but I leaned on my determination and the support of my loved ones to overcome these challenges. Through hard work, I gained the respect of my colleagues and became a mentor to other women entering the field, proving that resilience and dedication could overcome any obstacle. This journey taught me the importance of breaking barriers and being a role model for others. Receiving this scholarship will give me the opportunity to amplify my efforts in giving back to the community. My ultimate goal is to establish a sustainable beekeeping business, which will not only support environmental conservation but also create opportunities for education and community outreach. A portion of the profits from this business will be dedicated to supporting local initiatives, such as programs for the homeless and workshops on sustainability. It represents not just an investment in me, but in the positive change I can bring to my community. Philately, the study of postage stamps, is a unique and fascinating hobby that fosters curiosity and a sense of history. To encourage young people to pursue this hobby, I would focus on highlighting the stories behind the stamps. For instance, creating interactive workshops or exhibits that explore the cultural and historical significance of specific stamps could spark interest. Additionally, incorporating technology, such as mobile apps that allow young collectors to catalog and learn about their stamps, could make the hobby more accessible and engaging. By connecting philately to storytelling and hands-on activities, young people can discover how this hobby connects them to global history in a tangible and meaningful way. Through overcoming challenges, giving back to my community, and inspiring others, I aim to leave a legacy of resilience and service. This scholarship will help me take the next steps in building a brighter future for myself, my family, and those around me.

Faith in the Face of Challenges There was a time in my life when I faced the challenge of balancing my responsibilities as a working mother, a wife, and a professional welder while pursuing my education. The demands of my job in the manufacturing industry were intense, requiring long hours and physical endurance. Quite often I felt so physically and mentally exhausted and overwhelmed I would cry and wanted to give up on everything. At the same time, I wanted to set an example for my children by showing them the importance of education and perseverance. It felt overwhelming, and there were moments when I questioned whether I could handle it all. During this difficult season, my faith became my anchor. One particular verse, Philippians 4:13—“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me”—stood out to me. Whenever I felt defeated or inadequate, I meditated on this verse, and it reminded me that I was not walking through this challenge alone. My faith gave me the strength to keep going, even when it seemed impossible. I began to set aside intentional time for prayer and reflection, even during my busiest days. These quiet moments helped me regain perspective and renewed my sense of purpose. I also leaned on my church community, where I found encouragement and support. They reminded me that God’s plans for me were greater than my immediate struggles. My faith transformed the way I viewed my challenges, turning them into opportunities to grow and trust God more deeply. Through this experience, I not only developed resilience but also learned to rely on God for guidance in every aspect of my life. I had to trust him as my source and not rely on my feelings. I managed to complete my goals one step at a time while still being present for my family. Looking back, I see that this challenge strengthened my character and prepared me for future obstacles. Sometimes it could be hard to trust The Lord when I couldn’t see the outcome. Today, I carry the lessons I learned during that time into every challenge I face. My faith continues to be my foundation, reminding me that with God’s help, I can overcome any obstacle. He is for me. This experience taught me that when I trust in God, He provides the strength and wisdom we need to navigate even the most difficult circumstances.
