My childhood and young adulthood were defined by a lot of cultural changes that bring along a set of social difficulties and academic issues. The first transition happened when I was five years old when I moved to the United States, even though I come from an unwealthy family a first-class education and rich extracurriculars were important for my parents. The second major change happened when I moved back to Israel, all the hardships came back but were even harder It was not until I moved back to the United States before 10th grade that I decided mediocrity was not enough for me, I wanted the education my parents wished for me and my lust for learning was burning inside me. I began excelling academically and socially at a level my educators did not expect. Once I attained the level of success I yearned for midway through 11th grade a war broke out in Israel in which a teammate from Waterpolo had died, I immediately left for Israel although my educators pled against for fear of academic disaster. However, the same drive for success remained in me and after very hard work not only did I excel in Israeli high school I also finished my military service in a very elite classified unit in Israeli intelligence, now the same competitive drive for success that followed me in high school and the military service is pointed toward Columbia University regardless of my financial situation. I know with an Ivy-League education along with my mentality and drive I can raise my own company, a real estate investment fund that looks out for the less unfortunate. As a poor child I never really had a home because I always moved around, I wish that a poor child will have a house he can call home. I am asking for your help because I do not have a trust fund, I am not rich however I will not let my financial situation block me from reaching my goals. Thank you for your consideration.
