I’ve been trying for as long as I can remember to make my imagination a reality with the use of my hands. When I was younger, I'd often make sculptures out of clay, spend hours drawing with the help of youtube, and would make sure to add as many rhinestones as I could to personalize my clothing. If my family couldn't afford something, for instance, a doll or even a piece of house decor, I would always volunteer to DIY it. With recycled material and some glue, I could whip up the most gorgeous Barbie doll anyone’s ever laid their eyes on. During the pandemic, I developed a passion for jewelry making and subsequently opened a small jewelry business. After a few months, it took off and I could see people wearing my makeshift bracelets, rings, and necklaces from all over the world. I could see how happy my jewelry was making them. They would buy for themselves as well as their family and loved ones. It was through this business that I learned what design meant to me. Design to me means creating things to make people happy, to give them confidence, and to inspire them. Although I still love making jewelry today, I've found a new love for graphic design. My dream in the near future would be to have my own brand where I design the graphics for clothing such as hoodies, shorts, and pants as well as design jewelry.
